I have been using Kelson plumbing since I move to Pensacola three years ago. The owner, Charlie, is very nice, punctual, and does a phenomenal job each time. He has very quick turnaround times, so there is no waiting weeks for an appointment. He is very knowledgable, and I trust the work he does. I will definitely be using him in the future, and I highly recommend him to everyone.

Charlie came out and repaired a leaking water line that has been a problem for us for some time. I have used Charlie before and he is above all things fair and honest. He was able to fit me into his busy schedule and between rain showers accomplish the repair. I will always use Charlie for anything to do with plumbing in the future.

I had purchased ($100) a Delta 1700 manifold to replace a 50-year-old one that could not be turned off all the way and was dripping about 3 drops per second, but needed help installing it. While his estimate of $395 seemed high I wanted to have quality work that I would not have to worry about in the future, so I went with one that was recommended as A by Angie's list. He began by cutting through the tile and pulling the old American Standard out through the front. The cuts were so large that even the face-plate, used to cover the old holes in the tile, had a hard time covering them. It was attached by molly bolts that were on the edge of the holes in the wall, one in front and one behind the pex tubing. He did reduce the price since I served as a helper, cutting openings in the wallboard of the closet to which the shower backed. The final price was $295 for two hours of work. When I offered him the discount coupon from Angie's for 5% off. He cleaned up somewhat. See pictures.

My house burnt down in January so I needed some plumbing work done. I called the business and he came out and checked the job out. He told me he wasn't sure when he could get to the job but he would call me and give me a price. I do believe it was the next day he called with a price and said he could start the following Wednesday and he would email me the estimate. Almost a week went by and no estimate and I needed to get this to the insurance company. Wednesday came and never showed up or called. I finally called him and he said he got tied up and would come out Friday. He then called back and said he was talking to the wrong Mark that it was another customer he had an appointment with Friday. He would get back with me and send me the estimate, I never received the estimate and he never got back with me. I called again and he said he couldn't talk he was at a concert, he would call me Monday, He never called me Monday so I called him and he said he didn't have time to do the job. He left me hanging for over two weeks. Apparently he doesn't care about someone's loss, this set me back with my scheduled inspection dates.

Came on time and worked diligently. Spent extra time to complete job.

Mr. Kelson did not have the correct cartridge for this 1964 model, therefore he called around until he found the correct cartridge. He went and picked it up then returned to my home and completed the job. His price was very reasonabe considering he had to make another trip. I would recommend him without hesitation. He is very polite and professional

My sewage grinder was backing up and spewing out the vent in the cover. I suspected a float that turns the pump on was defective. Charles, the owner, removed the cover and activated the pump using the manual switch in the control box. That verified the pump was okay. He then washed out the inside of the grinder using a garden hose and had me then turn on numerous inside faucets (bathtubs, sinks, etc) to fill the tank again to verify if the pump came on by itself, which it did, and then shutoff by itself, as it should. All this time he was explaining to me how the grinder works. Quite simple, actually. He said it was probably just a stuck float that failed to turn on the pump. All was functioning correctly. He buttoned up the unit and left. A half hour was all it took. I was relieved it wasn't something more serious. He offers a military discount and is a veteran himself.

He responded within hours of my late-night message and was at my home by noon. He was pleasant, courteous, knowledgeable and respectful. And he solved my problem!

The job went well. I have used this company before and would use again. A very nice man and he does a good job. Very reasonable prices. He made an adjustment to his schedule to fit my job in. Very much appreciated.

Because one of the vanities arrived damaged, he had to come back to complete that bathroom. He was very efficient with his work and very helpful in getting the vanities installed as well as all the plumbing. I could not be more pleased with the work, his attitude

Awesome! He did a great job. We have an older house - and the toilets were pretty corroded. He ended up having to break them up to get them out of the house. When it came time to do the sink and faucet, he came with me to Lowe's and helped me pick out what would work best for our needs. To sum up, the finished products look and work fantastic; not to mention how pleased we were with the customer service and cleanup. Will definitely call him first for any future plumbing needs.

He came the same day I called him. He was able to repair the faucet so I did not have to buy a new one. A previous service from another plumber had damaged a pipe and he was able to fix that as well. The worker was very good. He was personable and did a great job. He seems to know what he is doing. He called before he arrived. He was totally professional. I have dogs and he was nice with them and not uncomfortable with them. I will tell my friends about him.

Existing hot water tank began to drip the weekend after Christmas 2014. On Monday morning I call Charlie Kelson after reading the positive reports on Angies List. Charlie responded promptly and although he was working two other jobs in Pensacola, was able to get a new heater and came to our house in Milton promptly that same afternoon. He changed out the old unit, in a very professional manner, improved the inlet and outlet lines and re-piped the safety vent discharge line to an existing basin rather than onto the floor of the laundry room where the heater is located. Job well done. He thoroughly cleaned up used materials and removed the old unit for discard (It was over 12 yrs old). Today there are no leaks and the new heater is running great! I would definitely recommend Charlie Kelson Plumbing and will use him again.

He came the very next morning after calling, the week of Christmas, with no trouble at all. There was no runaround like we have received with other services. He was friendly, professional, and knowledgable, and got the job done quickly. The price was great too, and we didn't feel like we were overcharged. We plan on having him come and do some work on our tubs in the future. I would completely recommend his service!

Charlie is professional and responded to my calls immediately. He is creative and gets the job done. I plan to use Charlie again to redo my bathroom garage.

We called Mr. Kelson to reset our bathroom toilet. We thought the bolt that holds the toilet to the flange had come out of the flange. Charlie pulled the toilet to discover the flange was cracked and needed to be replace. He replaced the flange and reset the toilet all for one-hour labor and the price of parts. The amazing thing to us was not only the quality of his work but his responsiveness. We called him at 8:00 am. He said he was very busy but would try to fit us in when he could. He was able to come and finish the job by 12:30 the same day. He cleaned up everything and our bathroom looked like nothing ever happened. My wife and I were very impressed.

I'm extremely happy with his service. He is very prompt and reliable. I am remodeling an older house that needed several things done and he has done great work. I would highly recommend.

Our previous electric water heater had pretty severe corrosion on almost all the fittings when we moved into our new house and the heater was about 10 years old. Given that timeframe and that we didn't know how it had been maintained prior to us living there, we decided to replace it preemptively rather than wait for it to blow out on us one night. We called Mr. Kelson on 7/30/14 and he said he could install it the next day and would even pick up the water heater on his way. We paid a nearby hardware store for the water heater and coordinated with the store to have Mr. Kelson's name on the order so he could pick it up. On his way the next day, Mr. Kelson called ahead to the store to ensure the order was ready for him to pick up... And it wasn't. So he called and let us know so that we could re-coordinate with the store, which was surprisingly difficult and unImpressive... They had not pulled the product from the shelf yet. But we eventually got the right person on the phone and got it squared away. Mr. Kelson picked it up and let us know when he was leaving the store (about 15 minutes away) then texted us again when he was a few minutes away. He was polite and professional in conduct and appearance, punctual and efficient in his work. His proactive call to the hardware store saved everyone time and corrected a different businesses error; his communication was prompt, his work was quick and professional and he took the old heater and broke down the box for the new heater and put it in our recycling bin... All at a reasonable price. It frankly doesn't get much better. On a separate note I'm happy to hire a former service member, and as a current member of the military am glad my wife won't have to worry about the water heater blowing out when I'm gone.

I found out on Friday afternoon that whenever I flushed either of my toilets that it would try to over flow and whenever I attempted to plunge them, it would back up into the bath tub. I called Charlie on Saturday morning around 9 AM and after asking a few questions about my situation. He said he could be out to evaluate the problem at about 2 PM. I received another call from Charlie around 12 PM and he told me that he got done with his other calls a little early and asked if he could head over to see what needed to be done. When He arrived he was thorough, patient and was straight to the point about what needed to be done and how he would go about it. There was no port outside the house for snaking, so the toilet had to be removed in order to clear the clog. Upon removing the toilet we noticed that there was several fractures in the porcelain and that it may fall apart soon if not replaced. So, after clearing the clog and cleaning up the area, Charlie installed the toilet and did all of this within a very short amount of time. He efficient, personable and professional and even offered advice that would result in me being able to take care of the problem myself next time instead of having to call a professional, which is a very respectable gesture. After trying different contractors in the area, and then trying out Kelson plumbing, I realized that his work and level of professionalism is grade A. I will definitely be contacting Kelson plumbing again for any other plumbing needs.
