Made an appointment and showed up promptly. Gave a quick and thorough exam of problem areas and advised what repairs were needed and what was not. One section of roof over a balcony needed to be removed, rot exposed and replaced, newer low drainage type roofing material to recover roof. They were delayed starting by several days due to bad weather and emergency repairs to other roofs, which didn't bother us. When they were scheduled to start they were here bright and early, worked quickly and efficiently, were very thorough and informative, cleaned up all signs of their work. They are a local roofer, and I know that they have been around in this area for a long time. They did a good job and seemed very knowledgeable. The price of the product was high, and we also had new restrictions on roofing, so it was rather expensive, but I don’t know if that would be fair on them. I don’t know if it was their fault or a result of limited supply of shingles and so forth. I don’t know if they had any control over that. Everybody had to get their roofs done, and a lot of outside roofers were coming in. The work was covered by insurance, but then it did not cover everything, and I had to come up with the rest. There was a deductible, and I had to pay about $3000. They were in such high demand that I don’t know if they could have done the work any quicker than they did. My biggest concern was their price, but I would check them out in the future, and if they come down, I would use them again.

They have been in business for a long time in Pensacola. One of the brothers came out and gave me the estimate. He was a very nice guy and very efficient. He came out one day and called me the next day with the estimate. He was very good. I haven’t done anything about the roof yet, but if I get the work done anytime soon, they are the ones I would use for sure.

The guys showed up and performed the entire job in only a couple hours.

My 19 year old roof was showing its age. The crew stripped it down, built a cricket around the chimney, replaced some damaged wood and installed the lifetime dimensional shingles with 30 pounds felt underlayment. Very happy with the job and the price and I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone. They did a great cleanup but I still picked up a few nails with a rolling magnetic tool - this would be the case with any roofing outfit. I'm meticulous about the nails because I ride motorcycles and a nail in a tire can ruin a day.

Would recommend again to anyone. Great customer service.

I called for an appt. & one was scheduled for Wed. only to have no one come. I called & was told he forgot. I was upset because the same thing happened to me last summer when I ended up getting someone else for the job. But he came the following morning, Thurs., apologized immediately for having forgotten & was very nice, pleasant & professional. He told me what needed to be done & said he could probably get to it next week but that I didn't need to be home. This morning a crew showed up & already fixed it so I would say that was very good service. I had a recommendation for Guy Bros. last year before joining Angie's List, which is why I called last summer, & when I saw their name here, I decided I'd like to have them do my work. Hopefully, the work they did is as good as what I've heard from others. The people were all very pleasant.

Guy Brother's estimate was a couple of hundred more than the competion. What was interesting however is that he was the only roofer that bid to repair both sides of a hip or two valleys even though only one was leaking. I suspect he felt that if one was incorrectly installed that the chances were likely that both sides needed repair. They have a nice pleasant person who answers the phone which is a good sign in my book. The two member crew who came out were great. The leader communicated well and both were experienced craftsmen. It hasn't rained yet, but I feel certain the repair was done correctly. Another interesting note is that some of the roofers tried to say that a repair couldn't be done and we needed to completely reroof which wasn't true. The crew was able to cleanly get back to sound shingles without tearing them and then marry in the new ones.

They did a great job. They came on time. They were very responsive to our questions. We had a question and they came right out to address the issue. I would definitely use them in the future, they are far better than any roofing company we have used in the past.

After calling another roofing company and leaving a message, I waited 2 days and didn't hear back, so I tried Angie's list and found Guy Brothers had very good reviews. I called them and talked to their receptionist who told me that they could get to my house that day and someone would call me around noon. I got a call from the roofer around noon, and he arrived at my house soon after that. He found the problem, called me back (I wasn't home) and told me the repair would cost $150, which is there minimum charge, and they would mail me the bill the next week. I told him to go ahead and make the repair. They were professional and responsive and I'd use them again.

After a week of not having trying to get estimates, I called Guy Brothers based on Angie's list recommendations. Guy Brothers was the only company I called that has someone that answers the phone, most just have answering machines. When requested to talk to Mike, he called back within an hour and was fully aware of the situation. I received an estimate the day after the first call and scheduled work to be done on a Friday. The Friday the repair was to be done I got a call early in the morning stating that the person doing the work was sick therefore they would not be there until Monday. I was a bit miffed about this but I appreciated the call none the less. Most contractors would have just not shown up. The contractor appeared on Monday and executed the work as planned. The repairs were done while I was at work and I received a bill the next week. The contractors did a good job of cleaning up. I would recommend Guy Brothers due to their responsiveness and professionalism. I really appreciated the ability to call a number and have someone pick up the phone.

I was irked and skeptical over having a leak on a new roof; bringing the jack leg that originally installed it back out here was off the table. Michael Guy came out and surveyed the situation, told me what I did--and didn't--need, and gave me a fair price. As long as he was out here, I asked him for a quote on re-roofing the back side over my shop. Once I gave him the go-ahead, his crew came out and knocked the work out in one day. That problem leak showed back up the next day or so (lucky for testing purpose, we had some heavy rain 3 or 4 days after the work was completed). After calling Mr. Guy, he had his men come back out to re-assess and solve the problem. Quick, courteous, professional work.

Got their name from Angie's List and they were $ 3,500.00 cheaper than my old roofer and did an excellent job and also recommended a home insurance agency that I changed to that saved me over $ 1,000.00 a year on my house insurance. They had to use 2 extra sheets of plywood and didn't charge extra. They did an excellent job cleaning up also!

Excellent. Very courteous. Workmen showed up on time. House roof has since survived two hurricanes.
