Everything went well. I called they came, gave me a price. I said yes. The next week, three days before the date given, they came and did the job. They cleaned up well, and were gone by 3:30. Job well done

They were right on with their estimate. They completed the service in a timely manner. They were very professional and excellent to work with.

Guy Brothers performed their work in a timely manner, and did an excellent job of clean-up. The crew was friendly and professional.

It took me several calls to get them and they have said that they would come out and then they didn't come out and I had to call back a few times before they actually came out. They did a good job and I will use them again but jut my trying to get them out initially, I was a little dismayed about how long it took them to get out when I have a leak.

When I contacted the company, they came out right away to inspect. They scheduled the work around my timing preferences and took great care to clean up the yard of any nails and debris to protect my dogs. They were courteous and timely.

Service was timely and complete. Crew was professional and courteous.

Guy Brothers Roofing Contractors were very professional. My experience was fine. It was a good experience. They were fabulous.

I hate spending money but other than that my experience with these guys was great. They came out and did an appraisal a couple of days after I called them. They came out and did the work the next week. They were sharp, did great work and answered all of my questions. We had a horrible two days of rain last week and no leaks. It took them about an hour - it would have taken me all day and some if I had tried this on my own. I will use them again if I have any future roofing problems.

Company was very responsive on providing the original estimate. Backlog of work and weather delayed the start to the point where I called to see what was the problem (more than two weeks after estimated start date). The work ended up being done a few days before a tropical storm hit. The major positives were that the work seems to have fixed the leak, the worker and the crew chief were courteous and did the work on a weekend just to complete it before the storm hit, and the price was reasonable (especially with the Angie's list discount). The negatives were that the granular material was blown onto the ground adjacent to the house and not fully cleaned up and the second coat of sealer, which is white in color, was splashed onto my deck, deck furniture, and the driveway. Most of it was removable but some, like the spots on my deck umbrella, remains. I would use this company again, but try to ensure that the work was done without the mess left behind.

Sent an email via Angie's List. They called within 24 hours to set up an appointment. Gentleman came out to evaluate the job and left an estimate with my wife. A week or so later, I woke up to find a man on my roof! They had initiated the job without my permission! Well, with Tropical Storm Isaac bearing down on us, it seemed like fate, so we had them complete the job. Turns out, not all the shingles were sealed correctly, so we continued to have moisture around the new vent. Called it in to Guy Brothers and was told that someone would call to follow up. Never received a call. A few days later, I contacted them to make sure they knew we needed a follow-up. Was informed that they had already done the work! (again, without telling me) Seems like the repair is holding up, but I was troubled by the lack of communication before, during and after.

It went well overall. I was given a verbal estimate and told approximately when to expect the work to be done. The roofers arrived within that time period and completed the work. I would have preferred a written estimate.

We needed to install a new roof on a beach house we had recently purchased. Since we didn't have a construction loan for the complete interior and exterior gut remodel of the property, price was a huge factor in every decision we made. When I explained our situation to Mr. Brothers, he told me everything I could do to save money on our roof. We followed his suggestions and Mr. Brothers gave us a bid that was one third the cost of our highest bid. Though there were some delays in the actual roof installation due rain, we were very pleased with the end result. Not only did Guy Brothers do an excellent job on our new roof, they saved us a boat load of money! I would highly recommend this roofing contractor based on our experience.

Just told you this above, don't make this so hard that people won't comment on service.

Guy Brothers did outstanding work and I would use them again and I would recommend them again. They arrived when they said they were going to arrive on the date that they did. They gave me an estimate on what was involved and they took care of it.

The work is fine. What he was working on doesn't seem to be solving the problem. He doesn't work on chimney problems and recommended a different company.

The work they did was fine. We have not had any problems at all. They did an extremely good job. There was some material left over and they said that was not needed because they guaranteed their work and said that they will come and fix if any problem occurred. Their price was slightly on the high side, but it was good. They were competitive. They were here on time every day.

I purchased my house in 2009 and my home inspector said that I had about 5 or 6 more years on the rolled-rubber roof that was already in place. He said it was a 20 year roof and the seller said that it had been installed in 1995, hence the 5 or 6 year thing. He said that he noticed some cracking, but that overall the roof should hold for a while. Just over a year later, we experienced massive leaking all over the front half of our home - I had water coming in through my light switches on my interior walls! I got two estimates, one for $7,000 and one from Guy Brothers for around $5200 plus the cost of replacing any needed plywood. Johnny Guy came to my home promptly, he looked at the roof and informed my that there is no such thing as a 20 year rolled-rubber roof; instead, my roof had originally been a 12 year roof and so it was already past its prime when my home inspector (and the FHA inspector) got a look at it (so much for the usefulness of a home inspection, but that's another story altogether), and gave it flying colors! We agreed on a 15-year roof (unfortunately, my roof is too flat for shingles) and on a white color, which has really been an improvement for my electric bill! We scheduled a date for his men to come to the house, and they arrived on time. Unfortunately, after they had half of the roof removed, it started raining! They were great, though! They covered up the exposed parts of the roof and came back the next morning and finished the job in no time flat! They only found (to my surprise) one half-panel of plywood that needed to be replaced and so instead of $5200, my final cost of $5250. The only issues that I have with the performance is that part of the contract stated that they would remove all of the old vents on the roof and replace them with new ones. While they did replace two vent covers, the rest were simply painted black. Another issue is that I am still finding roofing nails in my yard, and when my boyfriend cleaned out our gutters last month, he found a large amount of the old roofing material that had simply been thrown into the gutter rather than off of the roof entirely. However, having read reviews of other roofing companies, I will admit that these seem fairly minor and that, overall, the work performed and the people involved were all great! Johnny and everyone at Guy Brothers were very friendly and professional and I would definitely use them again in the future (in the fifteen years it will take for this roof to need replacing).

All work was performed quickly and to a high quality. They were in and out quickly with no inconvenience. Job well done.

I had the roof replaced when I bought the house in 1992, after 19 years it was getting long in the tooth and had taken a few hits from hurricanes but nothing major. Just time for replacement. Guy Brothers gave me a fair price, I went with them because they're local, the price was neither too high nor suspiciously low and previous customers were satisfied. My roof has no hips or valleys, so it's an easier job than many others. Took a bit longer to get to my job than they'd planned due to other jobs, but it wasn't a problem. They got the job done in a few days and I'm quite happy with the results. Included at no increased charge was a cricket for the chimney and a minor repair in one area. I would happily contract Guy Brothers again and recommend them to others. I believe they also had another job in my neighborhood shortly after mine.

I called them and they were willing to do the work even though I live in Colorado and my house is in Florida. They were also willing to give me an approximate estimate and then come do the work and then bill me. They did the work very quickly; they didn’t have to go in the house because it was roofing. I would say I was very pleased with their work; I have had an excellent experience working with them. I was leaving the country and I had to get it done fast as I had water coming in the house, and they worked with me there and were very pleasant to work with. I feel their price was fine, although I don’t have any point of comparison. The quality of their work was excellent. They showed up when they were supposed to and they got the work done exactly like they said they would. I would recommend them to anyone in that area.

When I arrived home the roof looked great. But there was trash in the yard, lunch trash in my drive, and they didnt take enough time to pick up their nails.. Luckily I had a magnet and was able to retrieve four to five pounds of nails. We also had talked about removing the turbine from my roof to make it flat during roofing but the just laid tile around it. I tried to talk to Mr. Guy about a few issues but he never would return my phone calls. So don't expect to talk to him after the initial contact. His secretaryI still have questions but I guess they wont be answered. However his secretary was fantastic. She helped me tremendously with what she could. Told me someone could come out

They didn't make the first meeting, but they called to say they were going to have a problem so I wouldn't waste my time. They measured the roof and gave me a price that was right in line with what I was expecting. They got there the day they said they were going to. They worked quickly and efficiently. They cleaned up after themselves. I haven't had a problem since.

I needed a new roof and was contemplating metal but the cost was going to be quite pricey, so I decided to get quotes for shingles. I called Guy Brothers because they have a "A" rating on Angie's List. An estimator came out the following day to measure roof and shortly thereafter I got a call from Michael Guy with an estimated cost. After talking it over with my wife and reviewing other quotes, we decided to go with Guy Brothers. I set up an appointment with Mike to view the product and listen to his pitch. He was right on-time and described his products/business in great detail. I asked the normal questions that should be asked prior to hiring a contractor i.e. are you licensed and insured, how long in business, team makeup to include on-site foreman, warranty of product, estimated leadtime, references, securing a permit and numerous other questions. He seemed sincere and had all the right answers. We liked the samples he brought, the warranty, and the fact his employees are experienced, so we had Mike do up a proposal. No money down, 100% due upon completion of job. He said it would be 2-3 weeks and was right, we received a call about 3 weeks later to schedule a start date the following week. A crew of approximately 5-7 were at my house the next 2 days and completed the job. They worked hard and completed the job as stated in the proposal. They were all very professional and really worked as a team. They showed up in a truck with a hydraulic scissor lift so disposal of the old roofing material was easier and they did not mess up my gutters. Half the house done (dried in) on one day, then the other half on the next day. Smooth operation. They laid tarps around the house to catch debris and most of the nails. When the job was done, they took a big magnet on wheels and went around the house to find stray nails. For the most part clean-up was good, I found maybe 20 nails. The one negative...a lot of their cigarette butts were left around my house. I guess the lawn mower will suck them up. Recommend being very specific when writing up the proposal to cover any warranty requirements you may need from the contractor and to include an updated Wind Mitigation Letter for insurance purposes. These items were not included on my proposal, but Michael Guy was professional and sent me what was required. So far the roof is water tight.
