Guy Brothers Roofing & Siding

They came in exactly on their estimate. It took a long time to get a roofer to supply an estimate. The project took six weeks because they were booked up. They left the area satisfactorily clean. I added on an extra job of replacing the siding on my chimney flew for an acceptable price.

They were very professional and very good. They enjoyed the work they did. We were happy when they were finished. I had somebody else on the roof and they said that they had done a great job. They were very good with their responsiveness.

They were good. They showed up when they said they would and they finished it very quickly and there was nothing for clean up.

We picked out the color and type of gutters and they never showed up or responded to our calls. Very poor service and the lady receptionist was very rude.

They came out quickly but their estimate was much higher than others ($2900 higher). As far as politeness and professionalism, they were great.

After initial difficulty getting them to answer their calls, an appointment was scheduled and a reasonable estimate was provided. The work was scheduled for the following week, but no one showed up. We thought it might have been because of the very rainy weather, however, they didn't show up the following week. Had to contact the office again, fax a copy of the estimate, and re-schedule the work. The work was completed while we were away from the house - they cleaned up so well, we could hardly tell they were there. Important thing - No more leaky roof.

I was quoted $2000 to fix the leak at my vent on my gable and to use a bio clean chemical, power wash and use a 3 step process to apply a rubberized sealant on my flat roof to give me another 10 years life on it. I got a text from my neighbor saying a roofer was at the house while I was at work on 04/25. Brent left me a voicemail that the work was completed and after I got home I called him back and told him I was not satisfied. There were drips from the sealant dripping from the roof. And there was NO water anywhere on the ground from where they power washed. I was told by my neighbor there was only one guy there doing the work and that he was there for maybe a hour in a half, and he did not power wash anything. Brent told me he would have someone come back the next day and clean up the mess (he did) and that he had a whole crew there, including a Forman when the roof was being coated. Brent said they used a different rubberizing product than they quoted me for, one that is more expensive and only required one coat (not 3) and didn't require the power washing. I was not told of these changes before the work was done, nor did I ever sign any contract with Guy Brothers. I told Brent I was not paying for work that was not completed (the 3 coats or the power washing) since the work was not done and that's what I was quoted for. He said "that's funny that now the work is done you don't want to pay" then hung up on me. He called me right back and I told him I wasn't saying I wouldn't pay, but that I wasn't paying for work that was not done. He then compared the quote to what work was done and probably realized a contract was never signed then agreed to take $1500 cash, which was probably still to much for 2 hours worth of work, but we agreed on that price and paid him cash 04/26 Saturday afternoon. Apparently the $500 off was $150 discount for paying in full and $350 for and Angieslist coupon, that's what he put on the receipt anyway. I would do work with this company again only because of the great reviews from Family and Friends who have had work done by them. Just would rather not work with the same guy again.

Guy Brothers were very proactive, professional and efficient. We were really pleased with them. The only issue at first was getting in contact with them as they are very busy, but as time went on they were very responsive and did come through. I will use them again in the future.

Work crew arrived on the day assigned and began work immediately. Crew was very friendly and worked in a very professional manner. On first day they removed 1/2 of roof covering and replaced with new felt. On second day they removed the remainder of the roof covering and replaced with new felt. On third day they began to replace shingles. Had a rain delay on 4th day but came back and finished next day. I was very impressed with the professionalism of the entire work crew, including Jason Guy who gave me the estimate and supervised the work.

THEY CAME OUT THE DAY AFTER I CALLED THEM. THEY STARTED THE JOB, ON THE FIFTH DAY AFTER I GAVE THEM THE GO AHEAD. IN AND OUT IN ONE AND A HALF DAYS. A VERY GOO JOB. SO FAR, I AM WELL PLEASED.

I have a very tall steep roof line and for any team to get up there is challenging. They did it like it was a walk in the park. There were two men Brent Langham was in charge. The job was completed in a short amount of time, he walked me through it to confirm satisfaction, all aspects of the job were done well. I don't take issue with the work...however...I had been cancelled several times before they came out. I do understand companies prioritizing and gutters and a small leak can wait. The office staff was sympathetic and would always follow up my calls. Had I needed prompt attention on this, I hope that I would have gotten it. I'm very understanding but not a push over. All in all the work was done to satisfaction the price was fair but the cancellations were more than bothersome. Since I have established myself with the company I would definitely use again.

In 2004 they replaced roof and did excellent job. Roof survived Ivan without any damage (work was done Feb 2004).

Was first company to submit estimate, which turned out to be the lowest price out of three other bids. Also, gave discount off for being an angie's list member. Only problem with job was workers didn't pick up nails in driveway and this caused tire damage(didn't report to company, because tire was fixed by Vannoy's at no charge).

It took over a week to get a return phone call to schedule an appointment for an inspection of my roof, but I am glad I waited. The agent showed up on time, and did a very thorough inspection of the roof, both from the attic and on the actual roof. He quickly identified two distinct sources of the persistent roof leaks I was experiencing. Within 5 days, his crew returned and did the repairs. The cost was well worth the wait, and my rook did not leak during the last episode of heavy rains we experienced. I am extremely satisfied with the professionalism and the quality of the work. If I should require roof work in the future, I will call Guy Brothers first ? and wait for them. In retrospect, I imagine the reason it took a while for ten to return my call was due to the fact that they are very busy because of their quality work and very reasonable prices. I have no complaints about that.

The company took months to respond to my request for an inspection necessitating several calls to finally arrange an appointment for the inspection. Once that was finally completed, the repair appointment was quickly made and the service was done well. Despite the time it took to actually get the inspection, I would definitely use this company again.

We were very impressed with Guy Brothers quick response, professionalism, and workmanship. We had multiple leaks around our vent pipes as well as spots of rotten wood and their repairs were flawless. They used quality materials and they matched the shingles perfectly. We couldn't be more pleased with the results and recommend them highly!

Very professional and polite, cleaned up after themselves, and the roof was done in 4 hours.

DID AN OUTSTANDING JOB UNDER VERY HOT CONDITIONS. CLEANED UP AFTER EVERY WORK DAY, TOOK TWO AND A HALF DAYS TO COMPLETE THE JOB. NOT ONE LEAK AND IT HAS RAINED A LOT IN JULY. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THESE PEOPLE TO REPLACE YOUR ROOF.

The experience was great. They came out and did a look over. They explained the whole job with what they would be doing. It was just a really good presentation. Even though we've had rain every single day, they managed to pick a couple of days where it didn't during that time and got the job done. I'm pretty happy with them.

Well good I guess, they did not claim a foot going through the roof and the ceiling inside. Have not heard back on quote for other work.

I called and scheduled an estimator to look at my roof. I was told June 5th, 2013 - I sat home all day and no one either telephoned or showed up. The following day I called the company and complained. The phone was taken by Michael Guy who said "I will come out today." While he did not come out, a relative named Brent Guy did and gave me a written contract with a price for the work. I thanked him and said that I would speak with my wife and we would let them know. After speaking with her we decided to accept the Contract and I telephoned the company and said that. I was called back by Brent on Friday June 7th and was told, 'We'll do it one week from today - Friday June 14th." I sat home all day on the 14th and no one called or showed up. I waited for the courtesy of a telephone call and a re-schedule for Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday - no one telephoned or showed up. Today Thursday June 20th I telephoned to complain and tell them that I thought their Customer Service was awful and I had sat in my house waiting for them for two entire days and that no one at their firm had the professionalism or courtesy to call a customer who had contracted for service to inform or explain anything. Brent (Brett?) called me back and said "my guy is on the way to your house - he should be there in an hour" - I told him that I was no longer interested in having the repairs done by Guy Brothers. Perhaps their work is good - perhaps it is even superior - but I will never know because I think that their professionalism as a local community business and their credibility and their attention to customer satisfaction is, in my view, ABSENT FROM THE EQUATION. In this world of hard line phones, Cel phones, tablets, e-mail etc. if a company experiences circumstances that prevent them from keeping an appointment there are ample ways for them to contact the (waiting) customer and inform him of same. To completely ignore that customer during both the ESTIMATE stage and then again to ignore the customer for day after day after day when they do not show up or call - says to me that there are many roofers competing for tight consumer dollars and that I should find another company (this is the replacing of shingles - not neurosurgery) that is more interested in conducting business in a professional and considerate fashion. What if the problem was NOT solved after their repair and after payment? How confident can I be that they would respond to calls - come and make timely repairs - honor their word? Based upon their present conduct/action I could have no confidence. I have no complaint with their work as they did not do the work. *** I JUST RECEIVED A TELEPHONE CALL FROM MICHAEL GUY TO APOLOGIZE. I am not going to do this work with his company but his call goes a long way to making me feel that they bit off more than they could chew - that they FEEL BADLY about it and therefore I WOULD BE WILLING TO CONTACT THEM FOR FUTURE WORK BECAUSE OF THIS PERSONAL COURTESY. A phone call - some direct personal contact is all that it takes to make one feel that they value the business. Good luck to all concerned.

Everything went great. They showed up on time and got the job done a efficiently and quickly.

They have done a good job. I am satisfied with the work they have done. Actually, I had two other estimates before I joined Angie's List and they were twice as much. They wanted $2,100 to do it. The shingles as well as the flashing were really good. It rained here a couple of days ago, and it is not leaking anymore.

Set up a time to install. Arrived on time. Removed and replaced roof and damaged decking and installed gutters in two days. At that point I had them wait for over 3 months to put down spouts on because another contractor was still installing siding. They said no problem and waited patiently until my siding contractor finished. Roofers and gutter installers were skilled, knowledgeable and professional and did high quality work. I actually hired a contractor competitor just to watch their work without telling them. Even he was impressed. Highly recommend.

They were great and got the job done! They cleaned up after themselves and we have had no leaks!
