This builder went out of business while doing an add-on for my home. The work started out great with Mr. Forte coming by to check progress. He had been recommended by someone and ws very personable. About halfway through the job, he stopped being as available and didn't come to check on work quality. He would send his son, Raymond, out instead. Towards the end, he sent me an email saying he was ending his business. Many unpaid bills and sub contractors and he would not respond to emails or phone calls. He said he would not renew his license but his son also worked with him and I think he may renew his in the future(Raymond Forte). Unfortunately, this business had a good reputation for many years but in the end, was mishandled and non professional. As a result, I had no warranty on the work performed and spoke to two other homeowners that lost more money and work than I did. I was able to get my work completed through other sources but the other homeowners were not so fotunate as their lost dollar amounts were higher than mine.
Description of Work: We added a large master suite onto the back of my house. It was a 24 X 26 "mother in law" type of suite with a kitchenette, full bath and independent entrances, as well as reroofing the whole house in the process of the addition.
