Description of Work: There was a delay in getting the windows so when they were finally available they sent two crews who were able to complete the entire job in one day. Good follow-up with finishing touches. Nice crew and everything was cleaned up and carted away after. Very happy with the work done.

Description of Work: Hurricane protection. They sat down with me & explained all my options and helped me make an informed decision.They didn't try to sell me anything other than what I wanted.Our bid was $2000.00 cheaper than another company here in town. They showed up on time, did the job they were supposed to. All their employee's had company shirts on, were clean & respectful. We will use Folkers when we replace our windows! Very impressed with this company !!

Description of Work: The company is very helpful and very professional. We received estimates from 3 other companies and Folkers was, by far, the winner. Their price was comparable to the other companies. One company did beat them on the price, but their reviews are sketchy and we didn't care at all for the salesman who provided the estimate. When we compared price, quality of windows, professionalism of the salesperson, and reviews, Folkers was the winner. The salesperson who came out was very friendly and spent a great deal of time discussing the process and the quality of the windows. We were on our third estimate by the time she came out and we learned a great deal more when she was finished. | |The delivery and installation wait time was estimated to be 8-9 weeks but they called early. My only complaint is that they called at the end of the day the day before they wanted to come out at 8am. In a perfect world, we would have had more notice to prepare but if we didn't take that slot, it would be a little while before they could be installed. Given our choices, we opted for the next day. | |The installers were timely and efficient. It didn't even take a full day to complete the installation of all of our windows. | |The quality of the windows is fantastic. We did have a small scratch on the inside of one of the windows and we are unsure if it will be replaced. That said, the scratch is very small. | |We plan to file for the Gulf Power rebate and the company was very responsive in providing the documents we needed. They also provided insurance paperwork to see if we qualify for an insurance discount for our high impact windows. There were a few calls that were not returned but when I followed up a second time, they were quick to respond to my concerns and questions. | |We've had a great deal of work done in our home the last two years and this was by far the best experience we have had with a company. We would definitely use them again and recommend them.

Description of Work: We had 10 windows replaced. 3 of which were in a sunroom and while they only count that as 3 windows - technically 7 windows were removed from the 3 window openings. The price was higher than the other quotes we received from competitors; however, the competitors price did not include the same quality of window nor did it include storm panels. One of the competitors also was not going to pull a permit. Folkers did exactly what they said they would from the estimate to the final install. They were timely, cleaned up after themselves and overall did a great job.

 + 0 moreThe work started when promised and was completed on time. There were a couple of defective windows when they arrived. They installed and as soon as the replacement windows arrived, they put them in. I couldn't have been happier with the work.
Description of Work: Folkers removed all windows and replaced with 70 mph rated hurricane windows which prevented the need for storm shutters. They installed turtle safe windows on the ocean facing windows. They installed power roll up shutters on the front and rear entrance. The install a manual shutter system or the side door.

If price was no object, I think we would have gone with this company. But since they were $8000 higher than our other 4 estimates we had to choose another provider.

 + -1 moreThe window frame in a large (60" x 72") fixed window had rotted from water intrusion over the last 25 years. The window overlooks Pensacola Bay and farther out the Gulf of Mexico. This makes the window subject to wind, rain, and salt spray. We had several estimates and we called the references; all Folker references were pleased with the jobs and the company. Folker was not the cheapest, but they quoted the product that in my estimation as an engineer best met the needs for safety, security, and durability. Folker provided a firm date for installation and a firm price for minium structural restoration based on my recent inspection of the opened wall beneath the window, although the agent had not seen it himself. He also estimated the cost of repairs if my observations proved wrong. Fortunately I was right and no extra cost was involved. Before installation the crew chief came out, inspected the job site, reviewed what would be done and how long it would take. When he and his crew arrived on the appointed day, the job proceeded just as described and they were done on time. We paid more but got a good job with a guarantee.

 + 2 moreI liked them. They were reliable and did good work. They were more a hometown company instead of a commercial. The worker was an older gentleman and he was very good. I used them two times and he came both times. I had them give me estimates on other things and they were very high so I chose them for certain things that they were not as high on. Their quality was excellent. I would definitely use them again if the price were right.
Description of Work: I used Folkers Window to replace the glass in two sliding glass doors and they recaulked windows. They also fixed my screen and replaced two glass units.

 + -1 moreThey were courteous and kind. They were punctual and they did a good job. It has to be inspected by the county after they were done. They had to have a permit for all and the county approved it. I would recommend them.
Description of Work: I had an old window. It was really drafty in the winter. It really needs a replacing because it was very ancient. I used the services of Folker's Windows Company to replace the window few months ago, probably in July.
