+ -1 moreService was excellent; helped me determine the type of gas needed and referred me to a gas company explaining that they couldn’t do a thorough inspection without gas to the fireplace. Sounds simple if you are familiar with the operation of such, but I wasn’t and felt more informed after the call. Will call them back once we have a tank installed!
Description of Work: Needed help with a gas fireplace in a house we just bought. No prior knowledge of this type of fireplace, we needed a lesson and to see if it was functional.

Starting with Jim at the store where we picked out our logs and ordered them to the guys that came to the house to do the work it was a very good experience. Be prepared to wait a lot in between the time it starts until the gas is connected and the fire lite. The gas company had to connect us from the street so that took a long time for them to get around to it and everything has to be inspected each step along the way. The guys who did the work were so nice and explained everything they were doing. They had to drill through a built in bookcase to get to the outside. The guys asked if it would be okay and they did it so well you cant see the pipe at all. It is hidden under the bottom shelf. I cant say enough about how nice they were when I called to ask questions. They cleaned up and vacuumed before they left. All in all they were great.
Description of Work: We purchased gas logs from Fireplace Concepts and Commander Air which is the installation portion of the company. They came and installed the logs on October 10th. It took a month and a half to get the gas company to run the line and install the meter. After the gas company got that done then Commander Air came and connected the meter line to the house line. We are very happy with the company.

+ -1 moreWe contacted Fireplace Concepts mid-July requesting they come and look at our chimney for repairs. We were told they would call us the following week for an appointment but we didn't get a call back. My husband contacted the technician on Aug. 1st and again we were told that they would call back on the following Monday to schedule an appointment however we did not receive a call.
Description of Work: The company did not respond to phone calls.

+ -1 moreFireplace Concepts Inc never returned my phone call last year so I'm disappointed because I used them three years prior to that. The technician was very prompt by coming when he said he would be coming, competent, knowledgeable, and professional. The price was very fair and the quality of work was very professional.
