I was very happy with the layout of everything and how the installation was done quickly and and efficiently. The cost exceeded my top budget by 60%. I told the guy I really didn't want to go over $10,000. They put in the river rock bed but it kind of looked like it didn't end, I wanted it to meandear through the enitre back yard and I thought that was what I was paying for. As it turns out the original bid only paid for the river to come two thirds of the way through my back yard then it stopped in the middle. It cost me $2000 to extend that a little further. The thing that really bothered me is that in the end he didn't wrap up the small details. I had a sprinkler system, he came in with heavy equipment and he wrecked my sprinkler system. The agreement was that he would probably break it but he would fix it. It took him months to fix it which made it difficult to water my new plants and some of them didn't make it. Some of them were put in in a dormant state. There were about 4 trees they ended up taking out. There were little things he didn't come back to do and I think it was because I paid him. I should have known better than to pay him before the details were taken care of. The other issue was that he said I could have a discount if I paid cash, I thought he mean cash versus credit but he meant actual dollar bills. I was like, only drug dealers have $10,000 of cash in their house. Having to go to the bank and carrying that much cash - I hated it. He didn't come back to wrap up the little things and let the damaged things go, after he got his money he wasn't nearly as nice. Some of the things he just decided it was my fault. He charged me twice for a valve, that was one of the things he didn't wrap up so when he came back he charged me again. He never gave me an itemized statement of the things I was paying for. The design and work of what he did were okay, it's just the details of the wrapping it up and the deal with the money was very unpleasant.
Description of Work: Caribbean Landscaping did a Japanses garden. I had a drainage issue so I had them put in a french drain, a dry river and a rock bed and then Japanese plantings around it. I also had them put in some yard decor like a stone bridge.
