Barnes came out and found the the compressor power wire corroded which caused the wire to break. Barnes fixed the wire and had my A/C working perfectly. I could not have asked for better service from a A/C contractor. They could have very easily charged me for a bunch of parts that were not needed and I would have never known the wiser. Thanks Barnes! A+

On Sunday, June 5, I called Barnes Heating & Air Conditioning because my HVAC unit was leaking water. The person I talked to asked if it was an emergency or could I wait till Monday. I told the person I could wait till Monday because the leak was being contained in a bucket and easy to manage, no damage was being done. I know the person I talked to was trying to save me some money from the weekend premium (which I appreciate very much, thank you). On Monday, June 6, my wife called Barnes Heating & Air Conditioning back in the morning and asked for a service person to unclog the drain and do preventative maintenance. The person she talked to told her the service personnel were only serving customers without air conditioning but they may be able to stop by if time allowed. No one called us back. On Tuesday, June 7, my wife called again to ask for a service person to stop by and unclog the drain and perform preventative maintenance the person who asked the call told her someone would stop by after 12 pm. By 2 pm no one had called or shown up so I called Barnes Heating & Air Conditioning. The person who answered the call said "life is like a box of chocolates" and put me on hold for about two minutes. He came back on the line and said someone would be by between 4:30 and 5 pm. At 4:15 pm, June 7 a service person from Barnes did arrive. He introduced himself (Jeremy) and apologized for the delay. He explained the delay and then proceeded to the requested service, unclog the drain and perform preventative maintenance. Jeremy was very professional, he explained everything he did, he clean up the area and went over the invoice in detail; no hidden costs. Bottom line: Yes I would use Barnes Heating & Air Conditioning again and I would recommend them to others.

Called Barnes Heating & Air Conditioning Inc. on Sunday, June 5, 2016 because our HVAC system is dripping water/condensation. The on-call person asked if it was an emergency or could the leak be controlled until regular business hours; we controlled the leak and called back on Monday morning, June 6. The person who answered the phone said the business was busy and would only be helping people who were without A/C but they may be able to get to us late in the afternoon. We told the person we would also like to have a yearly maintenance service done on our HVAC system. They did not show up or call on Monday, June 6. We called back in the morning June 7, 2016 and the person who answered took our information and said someone would be out to see us after 12 noon, June 7th. It is now 2 pm, June 7th no call to let us know they are coming or behind or what is going on. We chose Barnes Heating & Air Conditioning Inc. because they were the ones who installed the HVAC unit in 2011 thinking they should know the unit the best. Customer loyalty is important to us, so is company courtesy. We called the company at 2 pm, talked to Roy, his reply was "life is like a box of chocolates"; he put me on hold for about two minutes and then told me it will be about 4:30 or 5 till someone comes by. This may be the last time we choose Barnes Heating & Air Conditioning Inc.
Description of Work: On Sunday, June 5, 2016, requested a service call for water leaking from the HVAC unit. On Monday, June 6, 2016 and Tuesday, June 7 requested annual maintenance service on the HVAC unit. This company installed the HVAC unit in 2011. This company did not respond to our service requests.

They most recently came out on June 30th because there was no freon at all and it was 90 degrees in the house.We were told the standing answer that because of the heat outside, our AC can't cool enough so we just have to put up with it. But 90 degrees was a bit accessive to us, so they finally sent a tech out with no experience and he changed out a perfectly good thermostat and charged us for it. That didn't work. So they sent out a more exprienced tech who figured it was a freon leak and fixed the problem without billing us again. 5 weeks later; here we are with the same problem. And we're getting the same answer. "It's soooo hot that our AC won't be efficient enough to keep up. But I will bet you that we are leaking freon, the problem that was supposed to be fixed 5 weeks ago... We've spent over $400 total on a brand new unit (2 years old). They want to charge us a weekend service fee???!!!!
Description of Work: On 5 or 6 separate occasions this company has had to come out to repair faulty equipment or fix errors in the way the unit was installed in our newly built home. They have refilled freon and fixed leaks replaced various parts surrounding the freon container. They have had to fix the AC housing unit as well. Most of the time a different tech would have to come out and fix what a previous tech had done the day before.
