This was our first brand new home so we were a little bit green in the gills. My wife lost her left leg due to hospital infection. We came to Adams Homes to build a handicap accessible home. The initial paperwork went well. The sales lady took down our concerns and made notes on items of accessibility that we needed. We emphasized the master bathroom as priority. She assured us that there would not be any problems. Well, the build started in October of 2010 and the home was completed late December. We would come down periodically to check on the progress of the house. All seemed to be going well, but we got nervous when the contractors told us that they had never built a handicap bathroom before. Well, we were patient and all seemed to be going well. We moved in January 2011. We knew from the beginning there would be problems. The shower had a bench like we requested but the shower was a closed in stall and my wife would have troubles getting in and out. She couldn't reach the the water controls from the seat. The shower would spill out water in the floor. About a month into the house the linoleum in front of the shower started peeling up. That's where call after call begin. The lady that was in change of repairs was totally worthless. You would have to make numerous calls before anyone would come out. They did replace the linoleum but would not do anything about the shower. We ended up having Bath Fitters replace the shower with one that was handicap accessible. The driveway and the garage slab cracked within the first 6 months. Could not get Adams to do anything about it. We love our home but after you sign your name and the keys are turned over, don't expect much support for the problems that will develop.

Description of Work: I bought my house a year ago and I have multiple problems. The plumbing is terrible. The warranty department is less than adequate and once I'd been here a month over a year they told me that an already existing problem was no longer covered. The plumber has been here at least a dozen times. I do not recommend buying one of their homes.
