Upgrade General Contractor

First It took several months to finish replacing the roof. Sometimes it rained but most of the time it was not the wether that caused the delay. After the tiles were delivered I was told the tiles I had picked cost a thousand dollars more, so I paid 1K more for the tiles. I called Carlos about the delay and he said to me "don't worry about it and don't call me no more". After that I called him again and they came to finish. Later on, after the job was said to be finished, I notice one of the tiles was broken on the roof above the family room and the garage roof was leaking, the whole length, on one side. They came, worked on it, and said everything was fixed. After that, it was still leaking and they came back to fixed it again. My insurance company sent an inspector out who checked the roof and reported there was no evidence that 8 inch nails, required by law, were used on the new roof. I was given a letter by Carlos stating that they did use 8 inch nails on the roof. After the hurricane came the roof in the garage started leaking again. They responded promptly and attempted to fix it again. After it rain again the roof started leaking again. We thought we were getting a professional job done but this was anything but professional. I finally contacted the owner and he was very nice and told me that he would take over the project himself and do it right. Since he fixed it, we have not had another leak but we have not had a heavy rain either. I like the owner but I do not think I will hire his company again.
