Absolute A/C & Duct Repairs

I purchased the inspection via angle's list - which took a while to get scheduled. There were a couple of delays in getting people to the house. However, once people were here - they were fast, professional, friendly. They had thought the job was larger - but realizing it was less - lowered the price (before I could ask) - the staff are incredibly knowledgeable and everything went very well.

Team showed up on schedule, and gave a call when they were on the way. They got right to work. Extremely professional. Inspector was extremely meticulous, and reviewed attic pictures with me. Inspector really went the extra mile getting into a closed off area of the attic that needed to be looked at. Team spend a significant amount of time educating me on the findings of the inspection, and were very up front about what they recommended- and what they don't recommend doing. They also were extremely amenable to working around an impending roof replacement that we are planning. They also gave me some excellent tips on how to avoid excess AC bills and some minorrepair costs. Even though this service was bought through Angie's List, there was no pressure at all to buy further services.

Good service. Contractor went up into the attic on a hot August afternoon and documented the state of all of the A/C ducts and insulation, with photos of the findings.

We called to schedule an appointment and get a quote. We were told they would charge us $1800 just to patch a few holes in one of our air ducts. This price did not match the reviews that were similar to the work we requested, in which they paid around $200 but we remained optimistic. Our appointment for the initial inspection and repair was on August 31, and no one ever showed up. We did not receive any phone calls explaining why they did not meet the appointment. This company has poor representation and we were very disappointed because we really needed help with our air ducts.

They did a good job. Gave me some ideas, as well as a quote which I hired them later in the year.

They did duct work inspection, found several leaks and problems. They hung new duct work in parts and that work was fine. for the most part although they left one are crimped that they didn't tell me about. However, they also "inspected" my A/C unit and failed to notify me my coils were rotten and the A/C was on its last legs. I had to replace the A/C unit two weeks after the duct work was done, and some of the new duct work had to be moved- therefore, I wasted a good part of my money fixing duct work BEFORE replacing an old unit. As an AC company they should know better.

They were out last week and are coming this week to do service. The first was just an estimate. I bought the deal for $30.

They were very thorough, highly professional and responsive. I would definitely recommend them. I have not had the work done yet because I'm thinking about upgrading the AC and installing the window tint first and see how that works out before spending the extra cash. However, I will use them for sure if this place is still not cooling down.

They came out gave an estimate, showed up on time, and worked till it was done...It took me so long to write a review because i wasn't going to write one until i went in the attic myself. Believe it or not i just got that done.

No response and no proposal, not even an email saying they will not be able to work on this job. Very disappointing.

Both Aileen and Leo came to the house for a free diagnostic visit. Leo was able to inspect all the ducts, figure out which duct was not being efficient, and explained his solution. Our main problem centered around the master bedroom being 7 degrees warmer than the rest of the house. I was skeptical as this was the 3rd company we had come out to try and figure out how to cool the entire first floor evenly. Other companies suggested replacing entire ducts, putting in an individual wall unit to cool the master bedroom, all at expensive estimates. My wife called Aileen to book the job and even mentioned how we were still not sure the solution would work. Aileen said 100% it would work. Leo came a few days later, spent a couple of hours in the tight crawl space between the 1st and 2nd floor, immediately discovered that 80% of our air flow was going to an un insulated attic. He cut off that duct leading to the attic, re shifted the air to our master bed room via a new duct, and then changed out the vents themselves for better air flow. Aileen was right, 100% it worked. It feels like a new house, being able to sleep in 75 degrees instead of 82. Again, we had 3 companies come out, and Absolute was absolutely the best decision.

After reviewing Angie's List for options I chose Absolute AC & Duct Repairs. Aileen was very pleasant and accommodating to set the appointment in an ASAP manner along with suggesting the insulation truck come out for the appointment to save time in getting insulation into my attic. This eliminated the need for a second appointment. They were scheduled for Saturday at 9:30 am. Arriving at my home on time they assessed the situation and inspected my attic. These two insulation guys found a leaking AC duct and fixed it then pumped insulation in my attic and insulated the attic door too. I was so impressed with their workmanship! Absolute AC service providers were very professional and courteous to me and my family, they worked clean leaving nothing for me to pick up after them. After the insulation was complete, these servicemen gave me an estimate to upgrade the rest of the insulation in my home as well as pointing out some upgrade to my AC ducts that would make a difference in my AC and energy usage. I will be calling Absolute AC & Duct Repair again to upgrade all my ducts and insulation!

I explicitly asked to include the installation of roof vents to be connected.to our timer. And received air conditioning improvements when I already had a group out to install a new air conditioner a few months ago. A waste of time and effort.
