Absolute A/C & Duct Repairs

I purchased an Angie's list special deal for the company to come inspect my attic. They arrived on time, were very friendly, explained what I had and the options available. Received a quote by email; however, I did not proceed with the quoted new unit due to my own reasons, they provided the service they were scheduled for and would recommend them.

I took advantage of Absolute's $30 offer for an A/C ductwork and attic insulation inspection. What a great find -- we couldn't be happier that we did this! We purchased the deal online and Aileen contacted us the next day and scheduled an appointment for two days later. Quick and timely service in Miami, a rare find indeed. Aileen and her husband came out themselves and did a complete inspection and gave us an honest and thorough estimate of the work needed, which we agreed we wanted done. This amounted to installing new duct work as our old system was collapsed and/or damaged in many places, which was not allowing all the rooms in our house to get airflow from the system (some rooms very cold, others very warm, even though the A/C unit and return system itself were fine). They even pointed us to FPL with step-by-step instructions on how to get an inspection performed so that we would be eligible for credits for both ductwork and new insulation. We got the credits from FLP and they totaled more than $450; the credit for the insulation alone covered more than half the total cost. Overall, great work, great service, very professional and above all else we are now living in a comfortable house. In addition we should now see a reduction in our bills and certainly be more energy efficient. Thanks Aileen and team!

I originally purchased the $30 Attic Inspection which was performed with pictures of the attic and with written recommendations and prices that were given to me the next day by the owner. The owner said that I did NOT need the upgrades and that my attic was fine (house built in 2001). The owner did NOT even try me to get additional insulation to bring it up to current code. I independently asked for a quote for additional insulation which was an extremely fair price. I made an appointment on Saturday 8/30 between 930-1030 am. The two gentlemen who did the repairs and blew in the additional insulation were LATE. BUT THEY CALLED AHEAD OF TIME SAYING THAT THEY ARE IN TRAFFIC ON I-95. When they showed up they apologized numerous times and got right to work. They were there for four hours (11am to 3pm) working straight through. They were showing me everything that they were doing and were extremely polite and considerate. I purchased them lunch at Subway and they thanked me multiple times like I purchased a Steak dinner at Capitol Grill. When they finished up they clean up after themselves and vacuumed as much as possible. What more can you ask for?

They were great. They did exactly what was promised and exceeded my expectations. I would do business with them again. They gave me a candid and fair assessment. They were straight-shooters and trustworthy. They were not pushy or "sales"-y in anyway.

Aileen Martinez punctually came out with an Associate and climbed into the attic and did her "due diligence". She made her recommendations on upgrades BUT emphasized that the Duct System is still in good condition. Aileen emailed me pictures on my attic along with recommendations the next day ( In writing ) . I am going forward next week to make the repairs !

Everything went well, although I am waiting for the final report and estimate for the split ac unit.

I initially purchased the $30 ductwork inspection. Aileen and her partner performed an honest and thorough inspection of my attic insulation, duct work and vent air output. Due to the age of my townhome, I was expecting that there would be issues with the ductwork. Luckily all I needed was additional insulation which was installed today. The installers showed up timely, were very professional and even cleaned up when the job was done. They let me look at the attic both before and after so I could see what they had done. I am happy to report another Angie's list success story and highly recommend this company to anyone.

Aileen and her partner took their time to explain in detail how to make my A/C unit run more efficiently. They measured the amount of cooling from each ceiling vent to show the distribution of cool air to each room.I am very pleased with their professionalism and will have them install a filter back return grill when they have the time. I was very satisfied with their promptness in setting up an appointment. I had bought a big deal so it was only $30 for the inspection. Unfortunately, I didn't qualify for any rebates from FPL so I will have to wait awhile before I can get this work completed.

Company and their staff are amazing. Appointment for quote happened quickly. Appointment for service within a week of quote. The installers, brothers "J & J", were professional and hard-working. They had great, affable personalities and cleaned up thoroughly when done. After decades owning a house, the experience ranks as the very best vendor I have ever contracted with.

My experience was very good. They were very nice. Their pricing was average. They were very responsive.

It went so good it was like dealing with a contractor from up north. We scheduled the inspection or our attic. They came out tested all our ducts and told us everything was in order and they would be there on the next day to blow in the attic insulation. Purely by coincidence after they left our AC unit stopped working. I called them back thinking maybe a wire was pulled off in the attic. Nothing was found but they sent their tech over to see what was going on. After a series of tests it was found that a wire shorted out and burned out the transformer and capacitor. It had nothing to do with the attic inspection, just a pure coincidence. Their tech was better than anyone I have ever used. I have a service contract on my house and I plan on using these guys for all my preventative work. I cant say enough good things about them. They did not have to send their tech over after hours but they did not want us to be without ac till the next day when our service contract people could make it over.

Repaired air duct, added insulation in garage and ran new air duct into garage. They gave us an estimate returned the same week and completed the work. Definitely would hire again.

I initially called the company wanting to get an estimate on the removal of the attic insulation and to have new insulation blown in. Aileen, from the beginning. was very professional and a pleasure to talk to. She came out the very next day, worked her time around my schedule which I thought was awesome. During her investigation of the attic, she found my main a/c duct was leaking. She said not to worry they would handle that also. She wrote me an estimate, for the record I had received 2 other estimates and Aileen was the best, my initial thoughts were I wonder of the service would be up to par. I got the estimate on Wednesday I believe, the first crew came out to remove insulation on Friday, another crew came out on Saturday to blow in the new insulation. I could not expect anything more from Aileen, I feel she went above expectations!! I liked the professionalism that herself, and her crew's had shown, clean up was just as good!! From the first call to Absolute A/C & Duct Repairs, I was treated with respect. Ms. Aileen Martinez was courteous and very helpful. They immediately set an appointment so that I could receive an estimate of the work needed. The next day they were in my house. I received a quote and had the work completed several days later. The men were professional and did a great job. I would highly recommend this company.

Prompt email response for appointment set up. Two gentlemen arrived on time. The two guys were professional, on time, and completed the job within a couple of hours. I would definitely use Absolute A/C Duct Repair, Inc. again!

I could not use Absolute A/C & Duct Repairs because they could not perform the entire job, start-to-finish. I gave them an "average/C" rating, because I explained the job in its entirety up front and was assured they could handle it. I was surprised that the portion of the job encompassing opening, repairing, patching, priming, painting and closing the ceiling was up to me to secure. They did refer me to another company that could possibly do this for me and I contacted that company to discuss; however, that company never followed up with me to schedule a visit/estimate. I was facing spine surgery and did not have the time to act as GC and mesh schedules with different contractors, so I awarded the job to another company. | |On the plus side, Absolute A/C & Duct repairs was prompt and professional with an estimate and a recommendation to help me. I was sorry that I could not use them.

I called their service because they were on the recommended list by FPL for insullation. They are authorized insullators for FPL and they are authorized to take the FPL rebate coupon for insullation, a $300 value. My attic was small and so the rebate covered probably 95% of the costs I have listed. They had car trouble and had to reschedule but they were very professional about it and the owner was very kind and professional over the phone. She took the time to explain their pricing and how I could determine the area based on the FPL rebate coupon info which measures the sqr footage on the back of the coupon. They came, did the job well, and left it clean. I would recommend them again because they seem trustworthy and do not jack up the price once they find out you have a rebate from FPL. My advice to you all, go to FPL, have them do a review of the attic, get that rebate, and CALL THESE PEOPLE! Money in the hand ;)

Initially the company was contacted to install insulation. When they came to do the job, we were told that the ducting system was so old and falling apart and had a hole in it. We then had FPL come and they confirmed it and provided a rebate. After making multiple calls to various other companies for quotes, Absolute was the most responsive and thorough. The owner herself came to our house for the final quote. She was extremely competent and friendly and made us feel at ease with the job that needed to be done. Absolute then removed the old ducting system and installed the new. All went very well and they even returned on a Sunday morning to complete the work as it was brutally hot for them to complete the work in the attic the previous afternoon. Then we had them come back and install insulation a week later. Both these jobs were worked on a Saturday in order to better accommodate our working schedules. Their employees were also very knowledgable, courteous and professional. They even cleaned up after themselves. It was an "absolute" pleasure to find such a superb company especially in South Florida. They really lived up to their company name. The work was right, the price was right, and the outcome was right on mark. Thank you Aileen.

These folks do very good work - Aileen responded very promptly to the initial request for estimate on repairing leaky A/C ducts. After climbing into the attic crawl space and looking over the ducts (which seemed to date from the 50's, when the house was built), she recommended that we replace at least the branch duct lines. We opted to replace the entire system, ducts and grills. Their crew showed up on the appointed day and got right to work. They did their best to allow life at home to go on as routinely as possible while they did their job up in the attic (in the mid-summer Miami heat!). They cleaned up well after themselves, for the most part -- although one young man seemed to leave handprints on the wall and ceiling where ever he worked, much to my mother's dismay. We are very satisfied with the quality of their work, and further relied on them to clean and repair the existing air handler and insulate the attic when all of the A/C work was done. Follow-up was good, too -- when I called to tell them some months later that some of the ducts had not been suspended from the attic rafters as was specified, they showed up within two days to rectify the situation. My only observation is that they seem to have a lot of work (which I suppose is a god sign) and occasionally it was difficult to schedule the different tasks around our respective schedules, but they did their best. They are an approved FPL insulation provider, so we were able to get the insulation done for virtually no out-of-pocket expense.
