About us

This is written by me, the President, Kelly Hodges ---I feel compelled to write about my company rather than paying an advertiser because do you really need to hear the same thing that everyone says but just reworded? In my opinion, if I were to have to choose a roofing company I would dig deeper and want to know who they are and what they are about. So, as for us, we have been pushed in the direction of being a homeowners advocate over the last few years. The amount of homeowners that we have seen mislead and mistreated is quickly on the rise. So, at no charge to you we will gladly compare contracts, warranties or analyze home inspection reports. There are way too many homeowners being taken advantage of and it's not just new companies, it's also companies that are being passed down and are not maintaining the same values as the previous family members. My husband and I were both taught by our grand-parents and parents that the best way to work is the "old school way" where a handshake means more than a signed contract. To us, INTEGRITY is everything. Our company is not only qualified but certified to do any kind of roofing system and we go above and beyond what the code requires such as our latest investigation regarding ventilation. Can you believe that for over 50 years now they have been using something called a "J-Vent" as ventilation. There are so many things that homeowners should be educated on. Lastly, we are a proud member of the PACE program and we do 97% of our work through (Ygrene, Renew and Alliance)

I had a serious roof leak that needed attention- flooding in the house.  I contacted several roofers from the list provided by Angie's List.  All contacts were responsive, but most provided an appointment date several days out.  The leak I had was a major problem and needed to be fixed before another rain event.  Above the Rest Roofing, Inc. (Benjamin Hodges) was the most responsive.  They scheduled an appointment for the same day I called and showed up on time.  They provided a thorough inspection of the roof until they were able to pinpoint the exact location on the roof that was causing the leak inside the house.  They provided an immediate quote with warranty and encouraged me to obtain other quotes before making a decision and provided me with a list of references.  I awarded them the contract and they scheduled the repair for the next day.  They again came right on schedule and proceeded to make the repair.  They clearly explained what they were doing and answered all my questions.  They worked efficiently and completed the job in a timely manner.  They meticulously  cleaned up the work area, my property was left neat and clean.  I so pleasantly surprised by the quality of service, work and the courtesy of the workers.  If I ever have a need for roofing services again I would definitely hire Above the Rest Roofing, Inc.  They were a great company to work with and I highly recommend them to anyone needing roofing services.

They repaired my leaking roof within a few hours and were able to safe my tiles, therefore I did not need my Homeowners association approval for tile change. Gene and Pete were my contractors and they were very knowledgeable and  professional. Thank you guys.

They were on time and started immediately when they got here.  They did exactly what they committed themselves to do and then some.  After they repaired the portion of roof that was leaking, they walked the entire roof and repaired a (illegible) that might become a problem in the near future.  This was done at no extra charge.

They where great, they called me and set up the appointments, they called me after the workers had showed up. they where on time and neat. They let me know what all was going on. It rained some days later and they called  to make the sure that every things was okay.

The repairs went well. They initially came out and repaired the skylight and pitch pans, but left part of the underlayment exposed - I didn't notice this until after they left. Kelly had called the next day to follow-up on the work, which was when I advised them of the exposed underlayment. They were very prompt, like before, and did a good job finishing the job.
They were very polite and customer driven. They offered good advice on other areas of my roof, including things I could do myself to save money.
I do recommend them.

The crew came in and did the work, the owners that evening called to confirm we were satisfied with the project completed. Which included fixing the leak in our roof plus confirmed with us that if we had any problems they would not hesitate to return. Luckily we have not had them return but it was nice to hear from them after a year to check up on us and our roof.
