The guy who came out was 2 hours late and when he got there I made it clear that I knew very little about roofs. As a result, he gave me an estimate that was over $18000 dollars and asked if I wanted to go ahead with it. I politely thanked him and said "No because Home Depot came out and gave me a price over $6000 less". It was obvious he was trying to rip me off and I was having none of it so he left. He came back about 10 minutes later and said he had "miscalculated" and the real price was $800 less than the Home Depot estimate. I kept the original estimate and asked him to write the new price next to it, cross it out and then initial it so I could keep the record. He tried to overcharge me by $7000. I uploaded the actual estimate with the $7K+ differences in prices.

The fellow showed up on time, measured the roof, took photos, and said someone would get back to me with a quote. That was over two weeks ago, and we never heard back from the company.

I contacted 5 roofers including Above The Rest Roofing. They all told me I had a pitch of less than a 2 on 12 and had no choice but a flat roof application for my roof. Kelly at Above The Rest roofing told me I could have any roof I want because her technician who came to measure my roof reported back to Kelly that it was a 2 on 12 pitch. I told her I was confused as to why she was the only roofer who measured a 2 on 12. She then came to my house personally to measure and she said I definitely have a 2 on 12 pitch. I was so confused as to why all 4 other roofers disagreed with her. Kelly then sent another person in the area that she has trust in and he reported back that I had a 2 on 12 pitch. I was so confused because the other 4 roofers told me 2 on 12 pitch. Two of those roofers have been in business for more than 35 years. Finally Kelly wrote a letter and made some calls to the Miami Dade County Building and Compliance Dept. explaining the situation and they sent an inspector from the Trade Inspectors Section out to my house to measure my roof. I was here when he measured and I was thrilled beyond belief when after he measured the pitch on my roof he looked at me and said "you have a 2 on 12 pitch roof. You can put any roof application on that you desire." Kelly had the confidence in her knowledge of roofing to be tenacious and not give up on my project. She knew I was very confused and found a solution to the problem which gave me the reassurance I needed to trust in her and commit to signing on with her to do my new roof. I am so happy. You can not imagine how confused I was. I have signed a contract with Above The Rest Roofing to install insulation and a beautiful new grey tile roof sometime in the next month as I travel for business and want to be here when the work is taking place. Kelly always returns my calls and everyone who has come to the house or I deal with on the phone has been polite, well informed, helpful and punctual. I highly recommend Above the Rest Roofing. I will fill out another Experience Report when the job is complete and the roof has been installed.

Very smooth. I would trust this company to do unsupervised work. They paid attention to all the details and did very nice work with regards to the flashing on the gables and valleys of the roof. They made sure the skylights were correctly aligned and straight. They also took the time to protect my windows to avoid damage and they also protected my driveway.

I needed to get my my roof redone and in a tight time frame due to my home insurance giving me a deadline. Above the Rest roofing was able to come out to give me an estimate, assess the roof, and finish the job in a timely manner. I was very pleased that they took this urgent matter seriously. They redid my flat roofs and shingles, to include replacing all wood that covers over 2,000 sqft of roofing area in a week. Brand new roof and I am very happy with it. Everyone at Above the Rest worked really hard, was super helpful with all my questions and provided with any information I needed. Above the Rest Roofing does quality work that I would recommend to anyone.

It started very quickly, and ended quickly, but it stalled a little in the middle due to the inspectation process from the city.

What an amazing experience! Craig and the team at Above The Rest Roofing from start to finish are a professional team. The roof they replaced was in very bad condition from gross neglect, as the new owner of the property it was the first project that had too be undertaken. Above The Rest Roofing came in and quoted on the job in a timely manner, they then blew me away by getting on the roof and the job completed on the time quoted. They whole team when above and beyond in every detail of the job, they took care of every request I made and with their attention to detail there was not one single thing I was not happy with. Since the completion of this job I have taken on another house and I will be happy to be working with Above The Rest Roofing on this project as well.

The staff was very professional. If they said they would arrive at a particular time, they were there. They explained everything that needed to be done and advised when things had to be adjusted. Kelly and Shawn were very kind and completed all requisition in a timely fashion. They removed and replaced damage wood. Installed new eaves drip metal. They installed shingles I selected as Dimensional, GAF Brand installed to existing code. All inspections were approved and finalized by the city and debris was removed from premises. I watched them work and all questions raised were answered to my satisfaction. Kelly and Shawn explained the agreement with Y Green Financing and helped to answer all of my questions. Kelly the owner helped with projection estimates of the final cost. She alleviated my financial fears and explained how Y Green works to finance my entire roofing project. It's been close to two months since the completion of my roof and I have never been as sure that my roof can withstand 160 mile winds. I am very proud to have chosen Above The Rest Roofing and do recommend their work.

Above the Rest Roofing truly lives up to its name!! I had a small leak in my roof and with the South Florida weather as unpredictable as it is, I needed to get it fixed ASAP. When I called Above the Rest, they handled my situation immediately!! They had someone come out the SAME DAY and it was repaired the following day! They were thorough and explained in detail what the problem was and how they were going to fix it. I am so impressed with the service level provided and how nice and easy they are to do business with. Company owner took time to explain all possible options, including compassing of the materials they will be using on a roof. We called them almost a year after the original estimate and they honored the original price. New roof was installed in one day. They managed to safe all gutters and left the backyard and all surrounded are as clean as it was before they show up. And we got 10 years warranty too. Communication was great. Pleasure to do a business with the company.

This Company was recommended by my son in law, and I was not disappointed. Not only was the price right but the workmanship along with the professionalism that the showed was outstanding. I is very difficult to find a Company that not only will give you a prefect job but will go out of their way to work around your schedule. And the best part was that after they completed and left it was like they never been there, the area was spotless. I would highly recommend.

Honestly, my wife and I were dreading having to get a new roof. The team was incredibly professional. What I appreciated very much was how clean they were. Everyday, they took their time identifying the nails that were in the driveway, grass, pool, patio, etc. This is important because I have three kids who run around barefoot often. They were punctual, polite, and a pleasure to work with. We highly recommend this company.

From the very beginning of my first phone conversation speaking to Kelly she was very friendly, answered all of my questions and she sent her husband Shawn to come out for an estimate the next day. Shawn is extremely knowledgeable and understood exactly what we were looking for. My husband and I have been wanting an extension to cover our patio for sometime and we didn't just want a standard aluminum. We wanted something that looked seamless extending from our roof. Both Kelly and Shawn are outstanding people from their professionalism, to their constant communication and making sure everything was properly taken care of. I had no doubt in my mind that our reroof as well as our extension would be gorgeous. My husband and I receive constant compliments on our re roof especially, the extension of our patio. We been trying to get our roof tiles fixed for months and no other company stood by their word to come out and give us an estimate. Kelly was a delight and within DAYS everything was taken care of. We started the November with the estimates and the contract via the PACE Program. We picked the contractor and they provided us with all the paperwork we needed. I was impressed by the company being family run. The estimate was done by "Dad" who knew what he was looking at and knew his way around a roof and not a salesman who would tell me what I wanted to hear. The office staff "wife" contacted us and went over all the paperwork. She even drove by our house to drop off paperwork. Our project got delayed by the metal provider and the office staff kept us up to date and provided us emails from the manufacturer (not above it all's fault). Once the project started it really was a family operation. I was pleased by how they worked together. My roof was replaced quickly. They only thing that slowed the re-roof was my city (took two days to get an in progress inspection) They always passed inspection and the inspector told me they were doing a great job and I had nothing to worry about. Overall I had a great experience with them and would recommend the company.

Started on time in AM. First day out and continued each day there after until job was done. They were very professional. I would definitely also use them again for my roofing needs.

This company is absolutely top-rate! The estimator (Gene) arrived promptly and gave our roof a thorough inspection. We live in a 2-story building and he used his ladder to examine the roof up close. He also climbed into our attic to look for traces of leakage. After completing his inspection, Gene showed me pictures of holes in the roof, rotten wood, and water trails, and he explained the current damage and the repairs that were needed. Gene and an assistant returned in two days to do most of the work, and the following day two other men finished the job. Over a week has past, during which there has been heavy rain, and the leaks are gone! All the Above the Rest Roofing personnel were extremely courteous, well-informed, and professional. And, these guys are honest! When I paid a higher price for work that was not required, the company called me the next day and sent a staff member to exchange the check for one with the correct amount. This was the equivalent of a $940 refund. I know this sounds unbelievable, but it actually happened. If I need roof repairs in the future, I will call Above the Rest Roofing, Inc. without hesitation.

I had a serious roof leak that needed attention- flooding in the house. I contacted several roofers from the list provided by Angie's List. All contacts were responsive, but most provided an appointment date several days out. The leak I had was a major problem and needed to be fixed before another rain event. Above the Rest Roofing, Inc. (Benjamin Hodges) was the most responsive. They scheduled an appointment for the same day I called and showed up on time. They provided a thorough inspection of the roof until they were able to pinpoint the exact location on the roof that was causing the leak inside the house. They provided an immediate quote with warranty and encouraged me to obtain other quotes before making a decision and provided me with a list of references. I awarded them the contract and they scheduled the repair for the next day. They again came right on schedule and proceeded to make the repair. They clearly explained what they were doing and answered all my questions. They worked efficiently and completed the job in a timely manner. They meticulously cleaned up the work area, my property was left neat and clean. I so pleasantly surprised by the quality of service, work and the courtesy of the workers. If I ever have a need for roofing services again I would definitely hire Above the Rest Roofing, Inc. They were a great company to work with and I highly recommend them to anyone needing roofing services.
