Sunshine Painting LLC

My name is Chase Barrow. I'm 32 years old have 10 kids from ages 18yrs old too a month and a half newborn baby. Gary the guy that speaks with everyone about the services applied. Well I worked for sunshine for a very short period of time. Business was going good. The crew and I painted about 4 homes for sunshine painting LLC. Well a week before Christmas we get a call needing a house painted in Sarasota for a very cheap, cheap price. So the boss of our crew turned the job down. The reasons were not enough money and the house would have been way underbid for all four men to work. Anyway, over the weekend before Christmas. Gary reached out begging us to please paint this house for him. Well being us we went ahead and took the job with a little extra money on the $2,600.00 he offered for a house 2800 sq.ft. (+). So Monday December 19, 2022 we started painting the house. Mind you these people wanted there house painted before the holidays. So we had a full week with the on and off weather before Christmas weekend to figure out how to finish this house in time. Needless to say the crew finished the job in time Friday December 23,2022. Needless to say Gary/sunshine painting LLC knew the holidays were to come in 2 days. So shopping, Christmas, food, gas, bills, life in general came fast as id does for everyone during the holidays. Well we are going on December 31,2022. Going into the new year of 2023 and we still have yet to get paid for this job that our services were begged to be abled. I want everyone to know this company will not pay there hard working people before the holidays and Christmas. My kids did not have a present one. I had to beg for food to feed my family. Also I talked to Jessica today and it seemed like she felt bad for the situation. But this is not executable at all from a LLC company. If someone went so far to not pay there hard working people before the holidays then they should not deserve to say they have a business.. bad leadership skills.

We hired Sunshine Painting to do all the exterior trim on our house. Gerry, the owner, came to see our project then presented a very thorough and detailed "proposal" complete with pictures. After several delays, they sent a single painter with his personal vehicle and supplies. He was very good but had to leave as he had a trip planned to visit his Dad in Ireland, so he said that he would return to finish and do and touchups when he returned in a couple of weeks. When the time was up, I reached out to him and he told me he was no longer working for the company and that Gerry had informed him that he could not finish our job as he could not represent the company any longer. I then contacted Gerry, who assured me he would have someone come to finish, but he never got back to me and there was no answer at the office or his personal cell. I left several messages on both email and phones but never got a return call. He did pick up one call, and I explained again. He asked me to take pictures of what needed to be done so he could send the right person, which I did! No response, so I called again and he answered and said he had left me a message (NOT TRUE) and that he would have the painter here on the following Monday! No one showed up and, to date, I have not heard anything from him nor have any calls or emails had a response! I would be very wary of this company!!! Do NOT hire them!!

They were really good, they texted me everyday they worked with the pictures of what they were doing cause I was out of town. They were easy to work with and seamless. They waited for me to check their work and have it checked myself.

Great crew and cleanup and decent price!

The job was done by one person (a subcontractor) so it took over a week to complete. When he was done they were paid in full that day. The pool deck was not painted correctly and the paint is peeling up all over. I have left many messages as well as emails for the owner to call me and he will not.

I searched Angie's list - they called me after that search. We scheduled an appointment for 10 am on 03/08/2019. Was here waiting for someone to show up and give an estimate. That didn't happen, so I called the company and was told the "guy just drove by" and I guess that was my estimate. Don't waste your time - red flag!!!

Gerry Reif and his crew painted the entire inside of my new 8 room house in Custom colors. Peicing was competitive and excellent quality work. Very neat and professional, masked everything.

I couldn't ask for a better job. They missed a small place. The owner came out and fixed it. These guys are all the painters you would ever need.

My home looks like a new home and all shoddy work is a thing of the past. Don't hesitate to hire them as they are as good as you can find.

Ultimately I'm pleased. I had just been through renovating the kitchen and bathrooms, and was exhausted with another contractor I'd been using. He called me back right away and even came out the next day to look at the work. Jerry and his crew came in and in one day had almost all of the painting done. They did have to come back for some touch ups. They just did an absolutely amazing job. They were super tidy, and did a really clean looking job. I was so pleased with the initial work I added on several other thigns and have already planned to have him paint the exterior of my home as well. From the estimate to the finished product he was a pleasure to work with and was just so professional!
