I had plantation interior shutters put in my windows. The shutters looked as if the installation was incomplete as you could see the hinges and spaces. They came back out and tried to add trim to fill the spaces. Come to find out the way the shutters were installed you cannot even open your windows. The blinds would not open and you could not wash in between the windows.

Response from Win-Tech
Customer chose the inexpensive plastic shutters. The windows were installed without the necessary relief to accomodate inside mounting of the panels. They were mounted using "Z" framing with a pre-fabricated arch over the rectangle panels. The shutter framing and arch framing are not the same. This created a difference between the framing profiles. The shutter panels swing open on hinges to clean the window glass, but the arch is non movable with moveable louvers. Customer was advised of this prior to ordering and installing. We ordered and installed wider, custom framing at no charge. Note also that hinges are always visible on shutter installations, hence the reason for a choice of seven hinge finishes.

I did everything with them long distance and they were very good about taking their time to work with me. They went over swatches with me and kept digging until we found what I was looking for. Everything was made and installed very well and looked beautiful when I got down to the condo where they were doing the work for me.
Description of Work: I had them make and install window treatments (draperies and plantation shutters) for me.
