Description of Work: Paul and his group of "workers" constructed an eight foot wooden privacy fence that has been nothing but a money pit. Work was months behind in getting started, poorly constructed and has needed continually management to keep it from falling down.

Description of Work: I went with the low bid to have two gates installed in my driveway. A sliding, cantilever gate in the rear and a double swing in the front. I was told I was 17-days away from starting the project, but they did not work on weekends, holidays or rainy days. The project began approximately 2-months later (contract signed on Jan 20th and work begin Mar 15th. Rain contributed little to the delay and no phone call was received advising me of a delay. The work was done well and professionally by the two laborers - no issue. However, one month after installation the swing gate operator failed to close. I was advised by Paul Pope (owner) that it was either a lightening strike or I entered the box and adjusted something...both of which would void the warranty. I assured Pope that no lightening occured between the time I opened the gate and when it failed to close, and I never entered the box or adjusted anything. Pope continued to say I had told him I entered the box, which is untrue. He called back in a few days and said the warranty on the computer board would be covered by the warranty, but I would have to pay for labor. On April 18th, the two laborers showed up and successfully changed out the board....a one-man job which took 1.5 hrs. I was charged $225 for the labor. I feel like an attempt was made to weasel out of the warranty and that the warranty as written isn't worth the paper written on. I WOULD ADVISE NOT TO USE THIS BUSINESS EVEN THOUGH THE ESTIMATE MAY BE THE LOWEST!! Pay the price and get a reputable gate/fence installer.
