Description of Work: I found it exceedingly difficult to rate each rating category because they did well in some respects, but what appeared to be dishonest billing with no efforts to correct issues influenced our experience quite negatively. We contracted with Southern Green based on a door to door sales rep who assured us of both quality service and a correction of several problems with our lawn that were causing me to consider re-sodding. Service, was prompt, price reasonable if promised services had been provided, but the failure to improve what they said would be improved, compounded by discovering the appliers were not doing what they were billing me for severely negated any positive reviews I might have given. One day while home with my wife, the applier arrived and must have thought nobody was home, because after applying chemicals to our small front yard, he left after attaching a bill to our front door indicating application to the back yard and sides as well. This led me to wonder how many times this might have happened in the past because our yard was not showing any improvement after months of service with Southern Green (in fact, it was worsening). We called Southern Green to express our dismay and explain what we had witnessed with considered plans to cancel service. No apology nor explanation was given. There seemed to be no interest in having a satisfied customer. I rarely write negative reviews, but I have to suggest caution to other prospective customers.

When I asked if he felt it didn't apply to him, he said that it was ok, because his boss tells him where he has to go. When I said I didn't really care what his boss told him to do, he said I was being rude to him.

+ -1 moreWe had a ' crazy ant ' problem, which they resolved. Southern Greens comes to spray for bugs about every three months, but I like that we do not have to have a contract. The price is excellent, and the service is friendly.

+ -1 moreI had to keep calling to get someone to talk to me. Finally a Salesman said someone would call me the next day to set up the appointment. No one called. I called back 2 days later. They set up service but never showed up. I called and they said my service was scheduled for a different day. I told them to forget it.

+ 0 moreI had no issue with the technician or how the services were applied. He was very courteous and seemed to do a good job. A man name Bob (I think that is his name) called me and offered the service at a particular price, which did seem exceptionally good. I asked twice if this would be the price of the service. He said yes both times. It turned out be a one time introductory price. Then the technician also performed a summer tree and shrub treatment which I had not indicated I wanted. I cancelled the service because I do want to begin a business relationship in this manner and will seek another company.

+ -1 moreThey have been coming the 1st of each month to either one property or the other. One property is bigger than the other. A visit to the larger property is $90 and a visit to the smaller one is $50. In short it is 6 visits to one and 6 visits to the other on annual basis. I have not had any dissatisfaction whatsoever from their effectiveness of their work at both properties and they are nice and friendly people. When they came out to take a look around the property they gave really good impression. Their work is punctual, affective, and the grass is looking great.
Description of Work: I have a maintenance contract with Southern Greens / 1-800-PestControl. They come every other month to come and spray the yard. They alternately spray our two properties every month. They do feed, weed and do pest control application.

+ 0 moreWe had just purchased a new home and discovered a huge ant problem in our garage. I contacted Southern Greens Pest Control and they came out later that day. He told us that they were Caribbean Crazy Ants. We had already intended to contact them for an estimate to treat our lawn so while he was assessing the property he also discovered a large area of Red Ants in our mulch. He gave us a written estimate of services and frequency for each application. I found them to be very professional and knowledgeable. They returned the next day and treated our home inside and out for the Caribbean Crazy Ant and Roaches. They returned about ten days later and did the annual treatment for the Red Ants and they also did the lawn fertilization and insect control. There are many companies that provide similar services, however not at this level. Oh yes, the coupons were great too.

Description of Work: They were great! We had a possum, and a baby, in our attic - we saw them around, but we called them out to get them! Kelly came out and set traps, and then checked them everyday, and re-baited them. On the third night, the teenaged possum baby came out and our dog went nuts - we were able to trap it in a cat carrier that night, and I'm sure it emerged because of the goodies in the trap. The mom was also in a trap on the roof the next morning. Their service is quick, polite, and professional - I would definitely use them again!!

+ 0 moreThey were very efficient. Called us back in a timely manner and came out within a few days to do the inspection and set traps. They found a few areas of entry and patched them. They continued to come out and replace traps as needed until all sign of life were gone. We had used a different vendor in the past for the same problem and stopped using them since they were so unresponsive. We were so happy to witch to Southern Greens and would highly recommend them.
Description of Work: We had rats in our attic and needed someone to come out and inspect for holes and set traps.

Description of Work: I called several companies to discuss my lawncare treatment and pest control. Tony had all very good answers to my questions and the prices were competitive. They were not the best and not the worst - but very much in line with what I expected and hoped for. Everything he has promised me has happened. I am still waiting for my grass to "green up" and that should hopefully only be 1 more month. Tony and his crew (Kelly) have been professional and conscientious. This is a major + in my book. I have no plans to discontinue my service at this time.
