Mister Window

WARNING: Do not hire Mr. Window if you love your house. In January 2024, we hired Mr. Window to replace the windows in our house, a block home with stucco over frame on the second floor. We chose to go with Viwinco as Mr. Window is a certified installer for the manufacturer. We were assured the installation would be done inhouse by employees only, and it would take 3 or 4 days. The first crew arrived unprepared, with only a 3ft step ladder. The crew had no respect for the windows they were installing. They broke and bent the window flanges, installed windows upside down, and set windows down on the corners breaking the factory miter welds. After witnessing the install of my master bedroom on the second floor I had to demand a different crew. When the second crew arrived, it was determined the master bedroom window would have to be reinstalled. The window had been installed incorrectly and the crew had to cut the window out with a reciprocating saw, puncturing the frame of the window. After expressing my concern, they reinstalled the window anyway. The second crew, comprised of Mr. Window's top installation managers, installed the remainder of the windows, including the windows on the second floor. Every window on the second floor had the nailing fin cut away from the body of the window and stuffed into the opening. Although Mr. Window had charged us for materials for waterproofing the opening, the techs didn't use any materials. No flashing tape or liquid membrane were used to waterproof the opening. Without these materials, the house would eventually sustain water damage. One of the installation managers worked furiously trying to cover up the faulty installation with premixed stucco patch. I inquired about the usage of the product as I didn’t think it was to be used in this type of application. His reply was he didn’t really know and that it wasn’t usually his job. The patch cracked. We asked to have a quality control inspection of the work that had been done. After much resistance, Pony, the Executive Vice President/Operations Manager and an engineer agreed to see the job site. I also asked to meet with the contractor. Pony refused to put me in contact with the license holder Michaeal Cvetetic(#SCC131152255). To this day we have never met the license holder. Mr. Window refused to replace the damaged windows. After fighting for months, Mr. Window reluctantly decided to get new frames for the upstairs windows. They held the new frames for 3 months before rescheduling. The third crew assigned to install the new frames used flashing tape, but taped over construction debris, dirt and dust. We now know that the new windows have been installed over the frame of the original aluminum windows, keeping the new installation from being flush with its intended surface. Enough so that interior fasteners can be seen from the exterior of the house, just behind the nailing fin. We deferred to have any stucco work done until the windows are fixed and exterior is prepped for a professional finish. Mr. Window last came out to the site on Oct. 24. We haven’t heard from Mr. Window since. It has been a one year since we commissioned Mr. Window for the job. They have yet to pass an inspection. It has been the most disrespectful, most unprofessional, most time-consuming experience we have ever had. They have lied and have been unwilling to fix the damage to the windows and our home caused by their company. The amount of time we have given this endeavor has tripled the cost of the project due to time off from work and a vacation we had to cancel that could not be refunded. Now we are left with trying to figure out how to remedy our situation. We even reached out to Viwinco asking for help as they list Mr. Window as a certified installer. They offered zero help. Do not let this happen to you. Do not let this company handle anything for your home you have poured your life into. It makes me sick thinking of all the homes and people they have deceived by having work done in this manner. If you love your home this company is not for you.

Choosing Mr Window to replace all of my windows and doors has turned out to be one of the biggest regrets I've ever had. As stated in other reviews, Ryan the salesman is done with you the minute you sign a contract. Pony, who is a so called manager is a weak, condescendingly rude person who is great at excuses and poor at follow through. What was suppose to be a simple 2 day project has turned into weeks with no completion or resolution in sight. When I first signed onto this project I was going to pay cash. Something in my head kept telling me to use the finance offer so I had the finance company on my side should something go wrong and then just pay it off when everything was done correctly. Best decision ever, because things went wrong fast and the finance company is on top of it. Mr Window lied to the finance company by claiming the job was 100% done only an hour after arriving to my home. They then claimed that I am just a difficult customer looking to get something for free, which I'm not. I've not asked for anything except for what I ordered and paid for. Every person that I have talked to at Mr Window has different excuses, but always sheds one more ray of light on the true picture. The one door that they have repeatedly claimed was on back order, was actually never ordered. (Thanks for that information Brittany!) now it's expected arrival isn't for another month. When considering windows, doors or any other project, please steer as far away from Mr Window as possible.

On 11/27/23 I had a meeting with a sale rep. from Mr. Window. I need a glass replacement. Not knowing a lot about windows. He said I needed a total window replacement, and the window would match other on the exterior. I don't know a lot about the details of the window industry, I trusted him to order the right thing. (my mistake) I gave him $1225.50 deposit. 6 to 8 weeks went by. They told me that it was on back order. Weeks later they showed up at my house with a window that did not match the others. I declined the product. It did not match and it not what I was promised. The delivery person said " All I needed was a glass replacement. An easy fix." That was the last I ever heard from them, I call several time and left messages. No response. I call the shop and spoke to a sales clerk. After telling him my story he said "you sign the contract" and then he hung up. I had to get another company to do the job. They were able to replace the glass for less than the cost of my deposit. Retired on a fixed income it's important for me to deal with an honest company. As of today from Mr. Window, I have received no communication from them. I have not received any product and I am out the cost of my deposit. The only service I received from them was the salesman taking my money.

We initially selected Mister Window and we were told our project would start in October. Sadly, there was no communication and they failed to meet their own timeline. Our job did not start until the middle of December. Their lead Pony promised us that our home would be finished before Christmas. Mister Window did not meet that timeline either. On day one of the project, they overcharged us. When we contacted their team about this, they continued to push us under the rug and ignored our request. We were only asking that they follow their own contract regarding price and timeline. Our home has been under construction for four weeks. We have 22 windows and a sliding glass door, they have been working on our home for 17 business days. The crews continuously show up to our home short staffed and they barely work 5-6 hours a day on average. The crew failed to follow basic code when installing our home windows. By doing so, our house is not protected from the elements. The company has been made aware of these issues - repeatedly, and they continue to disregard our concerns. We were told that all of the other projects would stop until the issues were rectified correctly for our home. Sadly, they over promised and under delivered - again. We did not get multiple crews like they told us, instead we got 1-3 people standing around - watching one guy work. To date, our windows are not properly installed. The siding was not properly removed and reinstalled, and we have failed two different inspections. We now have water damage in our sunroom from the windows they installed incorrectly. We also have damage to our hardwood floors from their crew as well. We have requested to talk to the owner of Mister Window, and asked for his contact information on several occasions and all our requests have been ignored. We have a broken sliding glass door, we have a scratched kitchen window, we have a hole now in our siding, our house is exposed in several areas to the elements, our siding is now waving on all four sides, our jtrim is falling off.... The list goes on and on. We were told a new sliding glass door piece would be ordered and here in three weeks (that was almost four weeks ago). We have pictures to prove the damage and the poor craftsmanship... We expect a response and for our home to be fixed - or we will be getting a lawyer. I regret hiring this company. We have seen how poor their customer service skills are and how poor their crews are trained. We don't recommend this company and we feel sorry for any of the people who hired them before us - because there are likely code violations that were missed on their homes too.

We just had our Mr Window installation finish today. 15 windows total. We can't say enough good things about this company and the employees we've worked with. From estimate to installation and follow up, communication was great, everyone was thoroughly professional, polite and friendly. Special kudos to the installers Justin and Martin. they answered every question we had and followed up on each request we made. They worked at our place for 4 days under very severe conditions-95 to 105 degree heat and high humidity, red tide spores in the air, making it very difficult to breathe. Never heard a complaint. And did a beautiful job. These guys are troopers!! Blake and Michael did the caps on the last day and were a pleasure to deal with as well. The windows look great!! We are very impressed and we couldn't be happier.

The technician came out and checked all windows. For some he lubricated and said I did not need to replace and showed me how to lubricate on my own. For the rest, He measured the needed parts, ordered them and in a few days returned and replaced the parts. Excellent job and great customer service.

Wonderful job! the sales representative was both knowledgeable and helpful in helping us choose the perfect windows for our new home. The installers were top-notch - completed work on time, were skilled and showed great attention to detail.

Mr. Window was the only company (we talked with more than 3 others) which would install the out-swinging impact front door and sidelight with matching decorative glass. New code requirements made fitting the new entry into the available space very tricky. Mr. Window did a wonderful job; the door/sidelight required a lot of their time. The workers were extremely skilled at their jobs, polite (not just to us, but to each other), quiet and neat. The wind screen system was installed in one visit; the door/window part took 3 days.

Job was done well, on time and very professional

They replaced two backdoor windows. They were about $400 a piece for a half window in a back door. I guess the other couple hundred was the rescreening. The work that they did could have been a little bit better I think. I don't know if because maybe it was an odd sized window or what but when they went to frame it because of the situation of the deadbolt where it was they didn't have the room to do their typical mitered edged type frame around the window once they put that in place. So, it looks a little teeny bit shoddy, I wished it looked better. The interactions with them went well.

From the selection to the finished product, it was wonderful. They were meticulous in everything. It took only two hours. It was very cold that day and they worked very hard. They were very courteous and respectful in all manners of workmanship, to my home, and to myself.

I needed floor to ceiling, sliding door screens replaced. Tom came out and told me the original screens were made by a company that doesn't exist anymore. I told him I still needed screens, and he was able to make "standard sized" screens fit into my custom sized door. I am very pleased with the results.

I like that they were very nice, courteous and polite. They were on time and they worked very fast. The price was good. I would recommend them. The quality of work was good. They cleaned up after themselves. Overall, it was a good experience.

Initial visit was for an estimate in replacing eight windows. Received a very informative option that would work for me in replacing 4 windows at a time. Set up a time for me which they arrived right on time on a Saturday. The two installers were very polite and performed the work in a timely manner.

The serviceman arrived on time and went right to work. Most of the screws that needed to be removed were very stubborn, but he used every trick in his tool box to get them out. Never a curse word, just determination that the job would get done correctly. He explained as he went along, not that I think I could ever do it myself.

It took a little bit to get the appointment scheduled and to know when it was, but I am very pleased overall with this service. Hank came as promised and quickly performed the services needed. My husband even enjoyed the process of helping Hank. Good value for our money. He didn't do unnecessary stuff nor over charge us for the work. He was efficient and pleasant.

They will be finishing this week. Everything has gone fine so far. They were on time. I got what I ordered. It's Miami Dade County certified.

It went well

The prices was way less than half of the other estimates I got and they did more work. Derick was very professional and knowledgeable. He explained how the sliders work and actually put sliders back on the track when I thought they needed to be replaced. He did the job quickly and efficiently.

They did an adequate job. They did very thoroughly the bearings in my sliding glass windows and doors. We had old windows which I thought I had to replace. I did like the fact that they had some replacement parts in stock which I wasn’t able to find elsewhere. The gentleman who came out did a nice job considering what he had to work with. He was here on time and he put in a lot of stuff into it. My overall experience with them was good and I thought I got the value for my money. I would use them again in future.

Great. Good workers, no subs, clean up after themselves etc. The best.
