Anthony's Cooling Heating Electrical

We called with water leaking from AC return air. Due to our schedule Anthony's came out the next day. Found a plugged AC drain line. Cleaned the drain system. Completely checked out the AC system. Recommended maintenance schedule. We have used Anthony's for refrigerator repair in the past. They have always been responsive.

I pay an annual agreement and they come four times a year. They are really good and are not overly expensive. They seem to be very honest because I asked them to check my vents to see if there was a need to clean them and they said no. It is 169 dollars a year to come every three months. They include free filters for air conditioning related things. They are very reliable. They are very good. We have no issues with them.

My central A/C unit stopped cooling late in the afternoon. We noticed the house getting warmer after dinner and called for emergency service. Anthony's technician called us back and arrived about 7:30 PM. He diagnosed the problem as a failed capacitor, repaired it and we were up and running just after 8 PM. It had been in the mid 90's all afternoon with no relief forecast, so because of his responsiveness the failure was short in duration and saved us considerable discomfort and possible damage. Because we have a maintenance contract with Anthony's, he told me that there was no special emergency charge for the service call. In addition, because the part that failed had been installed by Anthony's several years ago, there was no charge for the replacement. Getting such professional A/C service in mid-August in Florida is at the top of my list of special performance, and without increased charges, it is outstanding! In addition, their twice yearly maintenance calls are efficient, professional and thorough, even including quality replacement filters. Anthony's certainly has kept this customer happy and loyal.

We needed it installed quickly so we won't lose renters. They installed the unit in one day and did a great job.

I moved into a brand new villa 7 years ago and had much trouble with the A/C and heat system the contractor had installed. After having it "fixed" many times and getting a different story about what was wrong from anyone who touched it, I finally found Anthony's on Angie's list. They had an "A" rating and good reviews and are in Palmetto which is where I live. Perfect. After contacting them, Tim came out (on Sunday!) and spent a lot of time with the system. He said it was extremely low on gas and there was a leak somewhere. After trying for quite some time, he finally said he couldn't find the leak. He put easy seal in and more gas. Tim was so very nice and explained everything to me so I could actually understand it. After 3 weeks, the system stopped again and Tim returned. He finally found the leak in the coil and I decided rather than spend the money on a new coil and installation of it on a system which has been nothing but trouble from the "git go", I would put my money on a whole new system. Mike came over and sat with me for quite some time explaining different options. In only two days time, I had 3 different quotes. Once I picked what I wanted, Jim and Dan came out within a couple days to install. They were very polite and hard working and got it in and running perfectly within a few hours. It is much more efficient and quiet than the old system. Most of the money I paid them trying to keep the old system running was put toward the price of the new system. Nice. And I got a 5% discount for finding them on Angie's List. Also want to say that each time I called from the first visit to the end of the install, Kim was so nice, polite and helpful. I almost felt like I was talking to a close friend. I will be using them again and would recommend them highly.

Contacted Mike at Anthony's as a result of a referral from a friend who had used them and thought highly of them. Mike came out and inspected the system and agreed that this equipment would most likely not make it through the summer. He presented us with two options, one for a Rheem heat pump unit, and the other for American Standard Gold Series. Because of Consumer Reports, we selected the American Standard. His crew showed up on time and wasted no time in removing the old equipment and installing the new. They cleaned up after themselves and thoroughly tested the unit. One glitch was that American Standard had sent the wrong hydronic heat element so they said they would have to come back when they got the correct part (and since this is the middle of the summer we're not missing a heating unit one little bit right now). Mike followed up on his installers making sure everything was to our satisfaction. They're coming out to install the heating unit next week. No one likes to spend money, but I guess if you have to spend money, these are great guys to do business with. Highly recommend.

Is there such a thing as an honest air conditioning company? I found one! After three heating and A/C outfits told me I needed a new unit, Anthony?s showed me that I just needed a little service on my eight-year-old unit...for a LOT less money! Thanks, Anthony?s!!

They were able to diagnose my problem with my air conditioner. He was able to fix it the same day he came out. They were honest and nice. They told me to wait to see what happens to unit, and I liked that they didn’t rip me off.

Excellent service, easy to speak to repairman, fixed something that someone else broke. I finally got air conditioning to my home.

We just purchased a 15 year old home and were advised that the A/C unit was the original and at the end of its life span. We were also advised that the dryer vent required cleaning and repair. We contacted Anthony’s Air and the owner came out and inspected the A/C and the vent. He agreed that the A/C was at the end of its life span and there was indication of a small refrigerant leak. However, with proper maintenance the A/C could last one or two more years. He confirmed that his company could take care of the repair and cleaning vent. We agreed to a one year service agreement which included two service calls in a twelve month period for $159 and $95 to take care of the vent. After making an appointment we received a call advising that the appointment needed to be delayed for two weeks as the equipment required to clean the vent was at another location. Two weeks later when the service technician arrived he knew nothing about the vent problem, had no equipment to take care of it and had to call the office to arrange another appointment. There was a small refrigerant leak but he was out of it which required another service call. What a waste of time. I ended up taking care of the vent myself and only hope that they show up for the second agreed service call.

Technician was professional. Restored cooling to best operation. Explained A/C and humidistat controls and shut-offs to use when leaving home for extended period.

The job went okay. One first guy that came out didn’t take care of it but the second guy came out and took care of it. They were supposed to give us an estimate to replace the system but they didn’t get back to us. That was frustrating. We called a couple times. I don’t know how they do business like that. It’s not that they did terrible work or that they’re overpriced, it’s just that you can't get any work out of them. I would recommend others go somewhere else. The price was okay, it was right in the middle. They were just average.

Good, we use him for our AC system at home. He recently replaced compressor here on one of our systems.

After calling his office around 11:00 today, Mike came to my mothers On Time at 3:00 PM...SAME day as this call for help! He evaluated the entire AC system to see if he agreed it needed to be replaced. He found the unit (handler and Condenser) to be functioning just fine. He stated there was NO need to spend a dime on it. He took nothing in return for this fast service and saved my elderly Mom ALOT of money with his truthful diagnosis! THANK YOU for your honesty!!!

I have used their services several times, but this last Fall I had three different issues with them. I had to call for their 24 hour services on a Saturday night. By the time they came out, water was backing up in the house. He didn’t clean the pipes or anything to make sure it continued to drain when the air turned back on. Another time they came out for a weekend call and it the repair did not work. They came out during the week and charged us for the weekend and the weekday call.

Excellent job. The crew came and completed the job in two days. We noticed a difference in the cooling of the house after that- warmest problem room dropped about 3 degrees in temperature to match the thermostat setting. The crew cleaned up and were courteous, professional. As the system ages there will be more work needed including a new air conditioner and we will definitely call Anthony's again.

I have two A/C units on my home. The one servicing the master bedroom section of the house malfuntioned. The compressor failed to provide cooling. Tech said it was probably a large capacitor. When tested, that was the correct diagnosis. He replaced it, and the unit functioned properly. He verified it's performance. The company responded to my call on the following day. I do have a maintenance contract with them. The tech was prompt, courteous and professional.

They resolved all of the issues we had with our AC at a total cost of around $2.5K which included One Year Platinum maintenance cover for both of our AC systems. Other AC vendors quoted between $15K and $25K to resolve our problems by installing new AC units. Ironically, from my understanding, new units would not have made any difference without the changes that Anthony’s have made. Honest, professional, good workers that turn up on time.

He went way beyond the call of duty to help me. He spent more time with and anytime that I had a question about something or felt something was wrong, he gave me full attention and came out to my house and did whatever needed to be done. They are a nice group of people to work with; from the person who answers the phone, Betty, to the workers.

They seem do to a very thorough job and are very informative. They seem to be very forthright and are not very pushy.

I felt the pricing was fair and it went very well. They are knowledgeable people and we've had several of their service people here. It's not always the same person, but they are all very good at what they do.
