+ 0 moreFrom our first meeting with Bill Tolson to discuss the design of our pool, and throughout the excavation and build managed by Bob, every step was performed skillfully and with the utmost professionalism. Bill gave excellent input and recommendations of design as well as explaining the types of pool equipment we should consider. They're workers were true craftsmen and were always punctual. Bob was typically on site, and made himself available at other times. We have recommended Anchor Pools to several friends for their pool or spa installation, and each of them was as extremely satisfied with the finished product as we were. We were so completely satisfied with Bill and Bob's quality of products and work, that we recommended Anchor Pools to several of our friends, who have since contracted them.

+ -1 moreFirst contacted Anchor Pools on 6/6/15 to set an appointment to review my lot and what I wanted. Bill arrived on the scheduled day, took a look and said he would get back to me with an estimate. I contacted him through an Angies List email with no response from him, so I called his cell phone and after many rings another male answered the phone and said he was on the job site but he would have him call and I gave him the message that I was looking for my estimate. This call took place on 6/30/15, The date is now the end of July and I have still had no response from Bill Tolson. If a company isn't interested in the job they need to just say so. Why waste the customers time? Would not recommend contacting this company as I would be worried about completing a job and the inability to get in touch with Bill, who has the only number provided. Unprofessional to not return emails and calls. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Description of Work: I had a problem with the automated control system (Jandy) for my pool equipement, pump, spa, temperature (solar or gas heater).I was told by a well rated Angie's list company that my Jandy system was too old to fix, 9 years old and that a new one would cost $1100.00 plus installation costs. A second company wanted $122.00 to look at the system plus repair costs and they would call when they could come over but it would be at least 6 business days. They showed up over a week later without calling and after it was already fixed. The Anchor service tech told me that he would, after asking several questions, that he would look to the control system to see if he could repair it and showed up in two days (the first time I was available). He looked at it for a short time, asked a few questions and then told me that the realy was bad. He examed the inside and then told me that there was three spare relays available in the unit. He transfered the wires to another relay, tested the system, reprogramed it and then re-tested everything, as he explained everything to me. Fixed and operating correctly for a total labor cost of $120.00, which I was billed for. I point was made that there are two more spare relays still available.

Description of Work: Built a 14x28 foot pool to our specifications. This included a 25x37 foot deck with a Monjard cage. They did a wonderful job. Highly recommend them.

Description of Work: We have been a customer of Anchor Pools for 7 years. Unfortunatly their customer service has recently changed for the worst. We needed some minor repair around our spa. So we started calling at the end of May. After repeated calls someone finally showed up, provided an estimate and told us they'd have the work done next Friday. That was a month ago! Called another company, they gave us an estimate today and will be here tomorrow.

Description of Work: Bill came right on-time for our appointment and very clearly and competently explained his proposal to completely refurbish our 16x32' pool and the surrounding deck including new pumps and filters. Considering the size of this contract, I had three proposals from which to choose. I finally choose a competing bid. The decision was based simply on the bid-price and the number of reviews on Angie's List and not on the perceived competency of Anchor pools which, like the chosen company, was exemplary.

+ -1 moreCalled approximately 7 pool companies requesting an estimate. Only 3 actually showed for the scheduled appointments. All three provided a drawing and an estimate. Of the three, only Anchor Pools was able to capture the vision of everything I wanted in a pool. I wasn't interested in the low price vendor and Anchor's price provided the best value and I feel confident the quality of work will be exceptional.
Description of Work: Estimate was provided by the owner himself. Very professional, extremely good value when compared to the other estimates (for a pool/spa).

+ -1 moreWe called him to check the condition of the pool and surrounding pavers. He arrived on time. He was forthcoming and honest about his review and correctly pointed out the problems and helped us understand the equipment and problems. He seemed to have a good knowhow of how things worked as far as the pool area was concerned. I would recommend him to anybody for this reason (inspection) and probably also for installation. The company seems to have a well-earned reputation in the area.
Description of Work: We employed this company for inspection of the pool area and report with suggestions for repairs needed.

Description of Work: When our pool was about two months old, the pump suddenly stopped. It was noon on Friday before the Labor Day weekend. I called and was told Mike Tolson, their service manager was in my neighborhood on another call. He was here in about an hour. The pump motor would have to be replaced by the manufacturer, he said. It came with a three-year warranty. But because we were about to go into a long weekend, it might be Tuesday before the manufacturer would be able to get anybody here to fix it. But Mike said he'd see what he could do. Mike and his dad, Bill, were at the front door about 9 AM. Saturday morning. The pump manufacturer will be here sometime this morning, they said. Sure enough, the motor was replaced and everything working before noon. On a long holiday weekend. Service doesn't get any better than that.

+ -1 moreThey were superb in meeting their predicted completion schedules. If you give them a call they respond immediately, excellent service system. We are new pool owners and had a lot of questions, they had someone out here within a few hours. At every phase of construction, the workmen were true artists, meticulously working to make sure everything they did was level or in line; that every tiny piece fit perfectly. I didn't realize that pools like this are truly hand-crafted.
