Description of Work: Steven at Greenlight Movers was the first to respond by Angie's List message to my query for moving services on 4/19/2016. I was assured the requested 11 am start time was acceptable and would be provided. We spent the whole day 4/18 working to move our garage full of items into the house so the movers could put everything right into the garage. They would be removing the contents of our storage unit and delivering them to our new home. Around 5 pm on 4/18 I received a phone message asking if we could change our time to 8-9 am. We were exhausted, and still had more to do to prepare things at our house. I called Steven who informed me they had arranged the schedule to allow our time to remain at 11. The team leader was to call when they were on their way to our job. My husband and son-in-law were at the storage unit at 10 am to ensure things were in order, and move some items to our personal trailer to haul home. At 11:45 I had not received a call, and asked if the movers were there. They were not. I called Steven who told me the team leader was to have called to let me know the time we could expect them because the job they were on was taking longer than expected. The team leader then called and told me to expect them around 12:30. When I told him the guys had been at the unit since 10; he asked why they had gone so early when we were supposed to be called when the movers were on their way. I was also told there was another team who would come if they finished the job they were on first. The guys went to lunch while they waited. I ended up being after 2 when they showed up. Their truck was being loaded when a second crew showed up. As a result, it was a hectic scramble that ended about 5. Steven was always professional and polite, and seemed honestly regretful for the situation. The movers worked extremely hard; and we realized they were doing the best they could under the circumstances. I'm sure if Greenlight hadn't been overbooked our experience would have been pleasant. It was anything but that.

Description of Work: They were excellent. The crew was fast and efficient and helpful. Nothing was broken or ruined. Protection was put down on carpeting. I highly recommend using them if you are planning on moving!

Description of Work: They showed up 3 hours late then started adding on more money than was not included with what I 1st paid for on Angie's so I question it. ok I understand but why was this not mentioned when I purchase the original deal, the workers said I had to talk to their boss. After 20 minutes I finally got in touch and the Owner said you always have to pay travel and fuel I told him That's ok but why didn't he tell me when I paid him earlier. He started cussing and said he wasn't going to put up with me questioning him so I'll just pull my crew I'm done tell them to leave. I told him I didn't want that we have to be out of the house by tomorrow it's ok I already said I would pay it. No I'm done the owner said. He called his crew told them to leave. The crew where very apologetic said that's just the way their boss is. Then I get a text by accident the owner sent to the crew and me said if anyone stays their Fired. |I would never recommend this company he was very unprofessional, rude, demeaning, to me and his workers, no respect for time as people have time lines and need to be out at a certain time. No never would I recommend this company.
