We had a delay in the middle of the project due to an unfortunate health issue. However, Alphonso keep up informed of the status and did an outstanding job in the end.

Alfonso and Fred DeLuca are fantastically talented and very experienced with the installation of travertine. Besides being very professional, they went the extra mile for us. When abandoned by another installer, they found a way to immediately fit us into their already busy schedule so our 700 sq. ft. of travertine flooring could be completed. Alfonso personally finished our installation. Both Fred and Alfonso demonstrated that caring still exists in the trades. My wife and I will always be grateful for how they came to our rescue with top quality work. We had several companies look at our project, but none of them could compare with Alfonso Tile & Marble. I give them the highest recommendation possible.

Fred Deluca arrived promptly as scheduled to measure and estimate the job. He subsequently provided samples of material based on our discussion of the desired characteristics of the job. His brother, Alfonso, came a second time after the quote to measure again and to finalize the details of the layout to insure accurate fabrication and installation of the material. With a deposit paid they ordered the material (Pompeii Quartz Carrara). Within a week the material had arrived and had been fabricated after calling to determine if I had any last minute changes or requests. We scheduled the date for them to come to remove the existing top, sinks and plumbing. They arrived on time and went about the removal very quickly and efficiently. They were very neat and careful to avoid any damage to the bathroom. They were especially careful with the sinks as I planned to donate them to Habitat's ReStore and the faucets which were to be reused. They came back with the new top and sinks the same day and went about the installation with equal care and professionalism. Since the installation was on the second floor and the top was 10' X 2' and quite heavy it took three persons to manage the transition which went flawlessly. Following the installation, they cleaned up well and left the bathroom better than when they arrived. All-in-all, I am quite pleased and would not hesitate to use them again or to recommend them to others.

Our unit turned out beautifully, Fred picked out the travertine flooring and granite counters that would match the existing cabinets. All 2600 sqft of the unit was painted, carpet removed and floor cabinets removed so that the floor could be leveled and new travertine tiles installed. The roof (which is also a terrace) needed a new sealant process done. The garage concrete floor was polished, electrical service was run to our dock and new service for a generator was added. Wood stairs were sanded and sealed. We had a very short time frame also on the project, we received the keys to the unit on 4/24 and needed to be in by 6/15. They met every deadline and even when some unforseen circumstances arose, like the floor being so out of level instead of being able to use cement backer board to lay the tile they had to hand mix the mud so that the tiles would be level and no chance for breaking, they still met the deadline. As I stated initially our unit turned out beautifully, we have built 3 previous homes and have NEVER had a contractor that was this hard working, dedicated to their craft and making sure the job was done correctly and their customer was happy.
Description of Work: They were are general contractor on a project we had. We purchased a Townhouse that was built in 2007 and never lived in. Needless to say we needed, painting, electrical, tile flooring, granite counters and roof repair/replacement. We did have a very short amount of item that we needed the work completed so that we could move in.

This company is good, very good. They were very fair and, although they did not install the tile; they had tile that others did not have. They did what they said they were going to do and are a good outfit. They charged me per foot for the tile and their price was fair. I called another company to get some more tile, but they were considerably more expensive. They are prompt.

At first the tile looked just great. I had asked Fred when he was doing this tile if he sealed the grouting. His word too me was the grout came pre sealed. So I let it go at that until a few weeks later when the grouting began to f apart as to the color and texture. I had also used his services for my hall ways and guest bathroom after this and they turned out ok, I was hoping this would have him correct the tiling in the other areas. Now we have had many conversations regarding this matter over the past and have not come to any agreement as to who is going to pay for what. He now wants approximately $1800.00 to tear out what he put in, in other words whole new floors. I was all set to contact a lawyer regarding this matter as it has gone on far too long but I decided against it for the present. On Sept. 6, 2013 I then contacted Fred by email with a new proposal and as of today, Sept. 9, 2013 I have had no response from him. I do have all the emails regarding our conversations and I would not hesitate to post them if I do not hear from him by the end of this week. If that is not to my satisfaction I might have to rethink the lawyer!!!!!! Needless to say I am not a very happy individual. Arlene Gibbon Palm Harbor, FL

DEAR CUSTOMERS , PLEASE READ MY RESPONSE . I'D APPRECIATE IT!!!!! I'd like to tell about this person who tries to wright against me. I find this report so untrue and with no basis. I personally meet her when I had to deal with her husband [removed member name], whom I had the contract with for doing work in his home. During the work time about almost 19 month ago, everything was completed on time and with a FULL SATISFACTION of our workmanship. [removed member name] the owner liked our work and decided to do more work by using same porcelain tiles in other areas. We agreed wit the second contract , and we finished the job on time and to a fully satisfaction. " NO COMPLAINTS WHATSOEVER " . After the second project , [removed member name]called me up again, and decided to remodel the Guest bathroom entirely. We had done remodeling a Guest bathroom remodeled , by using same tiles as we used master bathroom floor and other areas as wanted. Job was done again on time and to a fully satisfaction, and with " NO COMPLAINTS " However , I even gave them a 4 months allowing them to pay us when they have the money available same as cash. We got paid in full, and [removed member name] liked the job very much. To cut the long story short, this lady called " [removed member name] " , she's called me up after 6 months or so , OF WHICH SHE NEVER WAS INVOLVED ON ANYTHING. EVERY DAY SHE WOULD PLAY CARDS AND GAMES ON COMPUTER AND SMOKING NON STOP. YOU COULDN'T EVEN BREATH IN HER HOME , WHILE WE DID THE WORK, and wanting me to go and take a look at the grout joints into a master bathroom floor. I knew it immediately , what's going on with master bathroom floor. Before we started the job at first , [removed member name] had mentioned that they been having lots of " ISSUES " with the existing shower drain and walls, and also with an under ground foundation. It seemed some of the under ground corner especially where the master bathroom is located , is causing the issue. However , we were told that the problems were fixed. When I went to see what was the issue with grout joints, WE had seen a " white salty stuff " coming in between grout lines from an under ground. Going into the master closet WE saw same thing, and She keeps her " CATS " inside master closet and I'm assuming they must " PEE " all over floor tiles as well. She took cats away. I said to her that watch your cats cause they might pee on the floor and casing grout discoloring. However, I myself along with my brother went back and cleaned grout joints specifically in master floor and closet, and even stain grout joints . They both were very satisfied with the results. WE even did it at our own expenses and doing the labor for free. After 18 months , [removed member name] sends an email to my brother and wanting us to go back again , and she wanted to go back out again and talk to her . I went over [removed member name]s house , and [removed member name]stepped out of the house , of which I was surprised , and [removed member name] and I started talking about of what we could do replace the floor. As soon as I have looked at the floor , I discovered the same issue as I found at the beginning. I gave her option to install a " water proof membrane " to eliminate the " white salty stuff " from an under ground. She admitted it , and I gave her the quote for a full replacement including water proof membrane , as she required. She was emailing me back and forth , she said that she would pay for materials but not for redoing the replacement. I've told her , you have problems with your under ground as you had before. After a few emails back and forth , she said that I don't want to do the floor replacement , but i want to do again " grout cleaning , and staining. i had said to her that this is NOT GOING TO HELP , because we did it once and here we go again. She has wrote that I even has said to her that grout comes already sealed, which I never said that . I have said to her that Stain colored used for staining grout lines is mixed with sealer , of which it is. Anyone can prove that. She's even making stories up. At this point doing the stain wouldn't help. You know why is she going with staining grout lines because She Knows that the Truth will Come out,,,,,, Discovering the under ground issues. I have responded to her all the time. She even emails me at 3:30 am, what am I supposed to respond at 3:30 am???? I'm not against to even post all emails I had shared with her, I have nothing to hide. Never ever left a single costumer unhappy. Her husband , [removed member name] is very happy.

I do not like to go into too many details as I think it is irrelevant. There are times when everything just does not go smoothly and I would not want to hamper anyone's reputation if they did not. As I said we are quite satisfied with everything!!!
Description of Work: The removal of old wood flooring in master bath, walk in closet and a part of the master bedroom and the removal of old ceramic tile in two hallways. These areas where replaced with new non slip tiles. They also remodeled our guest bathroom which included the removal of said bathroom fixtures and ceramic floor tiles. Installed a new bath and shower area and new non slip tile floor. They also re textured and painted all the walls in this bathroom. All in all I we are quite satisfied with their work.

We wanted travertine installed, but were very concerned about getting high quality work. We are extremely picky about work done in our house. Fred came out to the house for an estimate and we had a lot of questions for him. We received an estimate and came to terms on work in the guest bathroom and kitchen / laundy room. The estimate may have been a little more than others, but again, we wanted high quality work. Fred is very knowledgeable of travertine and confident in their ability. We had the kitchen travertine layed out in a way that IF we decided to continue and have it run into the living and family rooms, the flow or pattern would be right. Let us just say right here, Fred and Alfonso are true craftsmen / artists with travertine! The guest bathroom and kitchen / laundy travetine turned out awesome! Needless to say, we discussed the living and family room, came to terms, and those rooms turned out equally beautiful. These guys took the steps to make the installation right and if there was a decision to be made, we were part of the decision. In our opinion, the level of detail in and quality of their work is diffiicult to find these days. The travertine is absolutely gorgeous! We highly recommend them.
Description of Work: Guest bathroom shower tile and backboard removed and replaced with new backboard and 18"x18" travertine. Kitchen and laundy room linoleum and baseboards removed, floor leveled and 18"x18" travertine installed including 4" baseboards. Living and family room carpeting and wooden baseboards removed, floor leveled and 18"x18" travertine installed including 4" baseboards.

Fred came and provided a quote, and also suggested a few items that would help the job have a better overall finish. I had already pulled down the old tile and re-installed the needed cement board. Fred and his brother were polite and courteous to my wife and I at all times, and we were impressed by their cleanliness and timeliness. The work turned out better than I had expected, and they also gave us some tips on maintaining the tile work once they were done.

ALFONSO PICKED UP TILE AND ALL MATERIEL NEEDED FOR THIS JOB FROM OUR CHOSEN SUPPLIER. CORRECTED ALL UNEVEN SURFACES TO ENSURE FLOORS WERE COMPLETELY LEVEL BEFORE BEGINNING INSTALLATION. TILE WAS INSTALLED PERFECTLY AND IS BEAUTIFUL. ONLY NEGATIVE.............IT TOOK LONGER THAN EXPECTED BECAUSE OF SCHEDULING PROBLEMS. HOWEVER, THIS WOULD NOT DISCOURAGE US IN USING THEM AGAIN AND ARE RECOMMENDING ALFONSO HIGHLY TO ANYONE PLANNING TILE OR MARBLE WORK IN THEIR HOME. ALFONSO AND HIS CREW WERE A JOY TO HAVE HAD IN OUR HOME. IT WAS A PLEASURE DEALING WITH THEM. MEANT TO RECOMMEND ALFONSO TO YOUR LIST EARLIER BUT HOPE THIS DELAYED REVIEW WILL HELP SOME OF YOUR CUSTOMERS WHO ARE LOOKING FOR EXCELLENT/PROFESSIONAL TILE INSTALLATION.

I think I never meet this person nor give him an estimate. I know I was over at [another person's] house on the same street , with a different house number then [this member]. However I gave an estimate to [that person] based on the work that he required. I don't compare my company with some people I don't know who thery are , and what kind of work they did or do. I know for fact that those " contractors " have no license, insurance , or band whatsoever. I ran into a lot of those situations , and how costumers are getting burned from them . Based on my work history when I give an estimate, all my customers they call back and negotiate and we make the deal. I hope everybody understands my situation. thank You !

Fred came and inspected the problem in two days of my call and followed up with a very detailed plan and a bid in less than a week--a more detailed explanation than any other contractor we contacted. We were impressed. Eventually, the Board of Directors decided to go with the bid received from one of our own residents, however, but if we needed this kind of masonry work in future, Alfonso's would certainly get a call.

The job was completed without a hitch and they cleaned afterwards. Could not have asked for more.
Description of Work: Replaced our electric cooktop and the new one did not fit into the opening in our granite. I called Alfonso Tile and Marble and they came by later that afternoon. He measured, marked the proper cut marks and gave me a price. I asked when they could do the work and he said they would like to do it now. I was delighted. Their work was excellent, cleaned the area and made sure the cooktop fit properly. Within a few days I will be having them come back to install a new sink and faucet to finish off our kitchen update. After the first of the year, I plan on having our bedroom floor tiled and I will be sure to have them quote on that job. They were GREAT and I highly recommend them to anyone needing a true craftsman.

The workmanship is beautiful with precise cuts and thin grout lines just as I requested. I felt I had gifted craftsmen in my home that take pride in their work. They were extremely careful in my home. No furniture got damaged through the whole process. Everything was wrapped and carefully moved from one spot to another as they proceeded with the installation. They did not miss one day of work for the entire 7 week renovation. There were many times I felt they went above and beyond what they contracted to do and I believe they did this because they genuinely care about others and want to do beautiful work for people. I absolutely love my floor and kitchen backsplash. I am so thankful I had them do the installation and truly enjoyed having them in my home.

They experience was very good. He and his brother came in and told us everyday what they were doing and what they would be doing the next day. They got the tile we wanted at half price which saved us a lot of money. It was 6"x18" tile. It's upgrade and it looks beautiful. He was very good about working with us, he asked me some questions and I talked with my wife to make our choices. Before he put the grout in he brought in a list and showed me the options. He told me which ones he thought looked better but the choice was mine. After they were done, we decided to have them extend the job a little further so they came back. They were here every day on time and I would hire them again in a minute. The only problem was, and it's my problem, is that he didn't have a way to do credit cards. He wanted cash. He is supposed to be opening a store and I think he can accept credit cards now.

My wonderful wife wanted us to tile our bedroom floor, I explain that none of us are in shape to do it and we have never done it before. and if it didn't come out right you would not be happy. So we called several tile layers and settled on ALFONSO TILE AND MARBLE INC. He [Fred] understood what we wanted and why. Then we went looking at tile for her to pick out we found a tilt we wish we had found be fore we had the dinning room in floating laminated wood.. we told Fred what we found and he got it at haft price. Then we sent my wife to visit her sister . then we started to clean out the room and the rug. Fred want to see the floor be fore we did any thing after the rug was gone. There was cracks in the concert. Fred in formed us he would com over to cover the cracks with a covering that would stop the cracks from expanding!! THIS WE NEVER THOUGHT ABOUT.. Fred and his brother came over and laid downed some kind of cover just over the cracks. They explain what it would do and what they would do the next day. they did this each day. so we knew what to expect. Fred often had to wait well I called the wife to ask what she thought or wanted Fred was very patiently with us. When it came time to put in the grout Fred showed us the different colors what he thought but gave us the choice. When the job was done I told the wife it was a same to put the furniture in because you couldn't see the whole floor which was beautifully done. We our totally pleased with the work and the professional of Alfonso tile and marble. After the wife and I talked about the job done she said she wished we had then covered the cubbyhole under the counter done. So I called them and ask if they could do it. They just had me give then the measurement of it so they could get the amount of tiles they would need. Came did the same great job. And as you can tell we will definitely call them fore any tile job..
Description of Work: tiled our bed room. Only one problem and that was my mistake. I didn't check their payment for work done.At that time they didn't take credit cards. so check first to see if they can now.

Fred arrived on time for his estimate appointment. We talked in detail about what we wanted, and indicated we wanted to start very soon, in ~2-3 days. He said he was available then, and promised to email his estimate the next day. It took him three days to get the estimate to me, and it was a cell phone camera photo of his worksheet that I couldn't read very well. I could see enough to read the price. He was easily the highest of 4 bidders. I let him know within two hours that he was the high bidder by a significant margin, and we had selected another company, although they were not the lowest bid either. I've informed all the non-selected bidders of the outcome and briefly explained why they were not selected. The others were very gracious and professional, and I would solicit their bids again. I was pretty surprised by the response I got from Fred. He lectured me that they were more expensive than the others because their quality is that much better (he doesn't know who they are). I'm OK with pride (but didn't like the lecture tone much). His final statement was "Hope you will get what you were looking for.... Less price" (copied directy from his email). That tells me a lot about him and his business. He was very late with his estimate, it wasn't really readable, and his reaction was pretty childish. Not good indicators of superior quality. I would never consider this company again. Surprisingly enough, I invited them to bid based on the good reports on Angies List.

that's not really true what he has written about it. just like for everybody else the internet was down becuase of the storm issues. I've called the member immediately and told him about the internet problem. At first he said thanks but i was looking for a cheaper contractor. i certainly responded to him that my price was based on your requirements how he wannted the job to be done. however as far as what kind of contractor he hired I've already seen whom did he tried to deal with. I'm glad that I had no business with him. Iknow the truth hurts, however he knows that very well.

Alfonso Tile and Marble is fully insured and licensed. Alfonso and Fred (brothers), were professional yet friendly, very fair, and worked well within our budget. Their suggestions and ideas enhanced our project even more. They were reliable and dependable. Also, the communication was excellent throughout the process. They kept us informed every step of way. We were very happy with the results. Our deck area is beautiful. The project was completed quickly. There was no disruption to our daily lives and no mess - not even the pool got dirty. Alfonso Tile and Marble was a pleasure to work with and we will definitely use them again, as well as recommend them to neighbors and friends. It was a wonderful experience overall. They did a great job.

From our first telephone contact to the final installation we were impressed with the professionalism and dedication of the DeLuca brothers, who own the company, and the skilled craftsmanship of the professionals who designed, cut and installed the counter tops. Their initial price quote was a bit higher than one we had received from another Angie's List company, but the owners readily agreed to match the lower price without lowering their quality standards. Once we chose our granite pattern, everything else was taken care of and the job flowed easily and smoothly thanks to this amazing team. The installation was done in less than a day, including all cleanup, leaving us with glowing, beautiful, seamless granite counter tops - a perfect job all around!!!

Alfonso came to our home to give us an estimate and we agreed that the price was reasonable. When Alfonso and Fred arrived at my home, they were on time, polite, clean and professional. They were organized and cleaned up after themselves as they worked. They took all the precautions to protect my floor, new cabinets and granite countertops as they worked. When they went in and out of our home, they were conscious to not let my dogs out or to track dirt into my home. Overall, it was a pleasant experience and we will hire them again when we need anymore work done.
Description of Work: I had purchased a stone tile for my kitchen back splash. It consisted of many sizes and depths of stone tiles on a 12 x 12 mesh. After securing the tiles, the grout had to be installed with a caulking gun. Alfonso and Fred were professional and diligent. Their workmanship was excellent and they are both very polite and cautious. I received the expert quality of installation I was looking for. I have referred them to others who are equally pleased with their work.
