We left a message with Gene, who was quick to respond and come out for an estimate. Gene was thorough, knowledgeable and respectful. We two estimates on the same scope of work several months ago and Gene's estimate came-in under those previously quoted so we proceeded with the work. Gene's crew was prompt, showed care for our property and did a thorough job. A-Absolute Tree Services left our front elevation more bright and beautiful than we can remember, with more than enough clearance to protect us from potential storm damage. We'll definitely be calling them back when more excessive growth occurs.

They arrived worked all day, trimming several trees and shrubs and bamboo. They cleaned up perfectly and left. Amazing crew.

I have several properties in Clearwater and have used A-Absolute Tree Services many times. The owner (Gene) and his crew are always professional and have met or exceeded my expectations. Work is performed within the scheduled time frame and clean-up is thorough. They take their time to understand what needs to be done and will also assess and recommend the most cost-effective solution.

Recently my mom had a large oak tree removed by this company. Initially they did a great job on removing the tree and the debris. They were prompt and professional. Once the tree was removed they did not cut the stump down far enough. My 80 year old mother was pressured into paying the bill by Gene Weldon before the work was finished. He said that "there is a metal rod inside the stump and we have broken two chainsaw blades trying to cut it down". On the receipt of the bill he wrote that his company would cut the tree stump lower. My mom called him up to ask when he was going to finish the job and he was busy to come and had other work to do. She never heard from him again. We had to pay an extra $250. to the stump removal person because A-Absolute did not complete the job. I would not recommend this company.

They did a very good job cleaning up the trees and left everything in good shape. They also pulled a permit for the tree removal which no other company even mentioned. Gene came to give us an estimate on the same day I contacted him. Seemed like a lot of money but had 4 estimates and this one was on the lower end..

Company responded to phone call within 1 hr. Discussed job, got price. Company started job following am. Worked around vehicle that could not be moved. Did work exactly as promised at exactly price promised, and cleaned up his mess.

Gene, the owner, was very responsive in giving an appraisal. He came to do the work one week later. One of his crew felt ill and he had to stop working. Gene returned the next day to complete the job. My wife added some extra work when the crew was in progress. The final bill was $300 more than originally quoted. I thought the initial quote was a little high, and I thought the additional work was not in line with the work done. However, this is not my field of expertise, and the crew did a nice job, they cleaned up the yard well and they were very professional

Gene arrived within the hour of dialing their service, and had a team there at 8 am the next morning. The whole job took 2 hours.

I contacted Gene about an estimate to get our outside property cleaned up with removal of trees, pruning and basically a total clean up of a neglected yard. He came by the next day and gave us a quote which included everything we were looking for, from removal of trees, to sprucing up and cleaning up of flower beds. We were quoted $1,700 for the total cost and he had a crew over an hour later. The crew worked hard and diligently and got the job done. At the end of the day, when Gene came back to inspect, we told them we were happy with the job and there were just a few things we had wanted completed. He had the crew out again next morning to thoroughly complete those little details. The entire outcome was well done and we were pleased with the price and quality of work. Gene understands the client needs and makes sure those needs are met. I will hire this company again in the future for yard work as I have no complaints about them at all. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for an efficient, reasonably priced and quality tree company.

We sent an email via Angies List and Gene called me the next day, came out, looked at the trees, gave the estimate. When we decided to go with A Absolute, we called them back, scheduled the work. Gene and his team were very hard working. Gene coordinated the team and took care of an issue we had with Tampa Electric Co, there were limbs hanging over the power line. He called TECO and told them it was their job to remove the limbs. It took a month for TECO to come and remove the limbs (they were the reason we had to remove one of the trees). Gene called TECO everyday and was very adamant pertaining to them getting out here and getting it done. Once the limbs were removed (7/2/2014), we called Gene and his team was here at 7:30am the next day (7/3/2014), took only two hours and the rest of the tree was removed. Yard was raked and cleaned up, the stump grinding had to wait till the following Monday due to the weather, that was fine with us. Very professional and informative. As a team I don't think that I could have made a better choice....all of this and they were about way less expensive than the other bids that we received. When they were all done, the team came through and raked the entire yard....not a stick was left behind. I highly recommend them to anyone needing work done by a real arborist. The Owner, Gene came out and went over all the things I asked to be done. When I decided this was the company I wanted, I called and got an immediate response. When the job was finished the workmen were to stay until Gene or his company partner would be here and inspect the job and be sure I was satisfied. The next day Gene came out and reassured me if I had any matters of dissatisfaction to call and let him know. There was a problem a couple weeks later. A branch from the palm tree that was trimmed, had fallen. I called Gene. The next day, the branch had been cut and it was gone. When the job was finished, all debris was removed and the yard and surrounding were clean. My neighbors stopped by while the work was going on and some later. I gave them a referral to this company. I certainly would hire them again.

Sent them a request using Angie's list and got a call early the next morning. Gene came over, gave us an estimate and we agreed on a price. His team showed up later in the day and did the job. Never thought that the entire project would take less than 24 hours.

Gene and his guys were amazing. I called for a quote and he came that day. His site said name your price and if it is reasonable he would accept it. He gave me a price I asked for it to be lowered and he did! I called the next day to schedule the service and him and his crew were at my house within 30 minutes! They did a wonderful job. They trimmed 4 of my trees and removed a dead tree from my backyard. His crew was so professional and cleaned up after themselves. Gene has earned a new lifetime customer. I could not have been more satisfied.

First let me say that I called some of the top rated Tree services listed and they either didn't show up or return my phone call, Hmmm. After filtering down the list I came across A-Absolute Tree Service and gave them a call and within 20 minutes received a call back and then within an hour and a half (as the Gentleman stated) he showed up, on a Saturday afternoon. He gave me a very reasonable quote and came under some of the few who did give me a quote. Gene states that they were busy and would be out later in the week. Thursday they showed up and completed the job. And at my request, cut a section of the tree that had a birds nest inside a hoie in the section and leaned it against another tree (baby birds are doing fine). I even asked them to return if they could, to cut one branch I thought they should have taken care of which they did. Over all I'm very satisfied and it goes to show that companies with a lot of reviews doesn't necessarily mean there better.

Rec'd estimate on same day I called. Made appointment for 3/18. Showed up 8am exactly. Went over job and left them to it. Owner, Gene, came back at end of job to make sure all was well. Gave me advice on a few things. Liked him very much and the work was great.

My next door neighbor recommended A-Absolute and we called them because of the emergency situation with the tree on our car. At the time of service- about half an hour after I called and spoke directly to a Gene the owner- we asked for an estimate for the diseased trees in our yard. We felt the quote was very fair and Gene arrived the next morning with his crew. They completed the work exactly as we discussed, everyone was amiable and helpful, and they cleaned up and cleared away all of the debris. I would definitely recommend this company to any of my friends. We plan to call them again when we're ready to do some tree trimming.

Called within 20 minutes of my sending Angie's List message to vendor. Did the work the next morning, only 12 hours after initial contact. Great job! Gene is very knowledgeable and professional. Climber John was super! Excellent cleanup. Plan to use again within 6 months.

I was amazed. The owner came out and gave us a straight-up estimate. He let us know what he could do and couldn't do. He called a few days later to confirm and schedule an appointment. They came when they were supposed to. They had a whole team that worked well together. They were fast, accurate, and cleaned up as they went. They were the best old-school company you could trust. We have used this tree service in the past and did not hesitate to call them back for this job. Gene is prompt, professional, and his crew works fast and efficiently. Our yard is filled with large oak trees that had grown to extend large limbs that were touching our roof. These were removed and trees that needed to be thinned a bit, with some dead branches removed were also done. The rates that this company charge are very fair. The crew arrived on time and were finished, with a thorough clean up in just a few hours.Gene is friendly and honest!

The crew arrived on time and started work right away. I checked on their progress several times and it looked like it was going as planned. However, the limbs were placed in a tarp on my lawn and not taken away until 4 days later. Gene Weldon called twice to say they were being removed and no one showed up. This caused a large dead area on my lawn. I also called Gene Weldon several weeks later because I noticed several limbs above my roof appeared broken off, instead of being cut by a saw. He contacted me the same day and agreed to come by and look at it. I waited to write this review and to date have never seen or heard from him. I would not recommed this company. If you use them you need to watch the entire operation from start to finish. I also hesitated since no reviews have been submitted for a year.

Gene and his crew did a great job! They did everything promised and Gene included me in every step of the process. He is very knowledgable and really cares about the work he does. He made sure I was completely satisfied before he accepted payment for the work done. He also gave me good advice on how to maintain the property. All the trees look great! What a difference! I will absolutely use this company in the future and will recommend him to friends.
