David Griest “loves his customers” until things go wrong. David’s Reverse Osmosis unit leaked over time causing water damage and toxic mold. Cabinet tear out, remediation and put back took 3 months. Our home insurance company paid ~$24,000 and we spent $1250 for damages not covered by policy. The issue is “what David did not do” before and after the discovery of this. Never called his insurance company like he promised. Repeatedly got very defensive and said it’s not his responsibility. David did not: a) Follow up with us after first seeing it, b) Replace the leaking Hydronix unit under warranty, c) Offer a Hydronix Leak Detection Tray (3 models available), d) Lay down paper towel to detect leaks, e) Respond to mold correctly - running a fan only spreads the mold throughout the house. David does not take water leaks seriously and is not diligent in using industry practices to prevent them. You need to look for another installer.

David absolutely DOES NOT deserve any stars ~ only negative ratings will do. We are suing David for Fraud as of 5/23/18. He accepted a payment of $7740 from us on 3/18/18 for a reverse osmosis system that we have NEVER been able to use and due to his lack of experience & negligence we have incurred addition expenses because of water damages and electrical problems. David charged us for a 220v system and then he purchased a 110v lower grade system that was significantly cheaper. He misrepresented the entire system that he charges us for. He lied to us about what he was installing. He was very unprofessional and had little to no knowledge of what he was doing. By the 3rd day of install and after MANY issues and problems due to his negligence we told him we no longer wanted the system and we wanted a refund. He became very belligerent and confrontational and refused to give us a refund. We contacted his supplier and they came out to our home with another expert and confirmed our problems. David had NOT given us what we paid him for and everything he attempted to install was done completely WRONG. They could not believe he had taken $7740 of our money and done such a horrible job plus caused damages to our property. We have numerous text messages in addition to all of the documentation needed to support/prove our charges of Fraud. We learned that David is in a financial crisis and we believe he is a con artist who took our money to fix his financial problems. We are out $7740 plus the cost of damages and a system that does not work. We will also be contacting the Better Business Bureau to file our complaint against David. He has been given opportunities to correct this deceitful situation and he still refuses to do so ~ we are left with no other option but legal action to get our money back from this horrible man. Again we have all documentation to support our claim of fraud ~ we will move forward to make David accountable for his actions.
