They over charged us for the sink & plumbing by putting things in there that weren't necessary. The installation charges were about 50% more than they should've been. The installation was advertised on signs the store as $200 but ended up being more like $450. When they didn't have the color sink we wanted we had to special order it - which cost more. Go figure, the right color sink showed up in the store the next day. The carpet took 3 months to get sorted out. They had to upgrade our carpet & call someone else in to install it to get it done right. There is definitely a communication disconnect between the sales people, the people who do the work, & the customer at this location. For example, they called us to schedule the installation. At that time, the installer said it would cost an extra $35 for him to pick it up from Lowe's, but if we picked it up ourselves there would be no additional charge. We called the store & they told us that there would be no charge if he brought it with them. With that info we asked he bring the the sink for the installation. That message never got to the installer & he showed up without the sink. We got everything sorted out but it was frustrating.
Description of Work: I just had a sink installed with new faucet in my kitchen. They also installed carpet for us, finalized sometime in December 2012. Price does not include carpet installation previously done.

No problems with installer, however, after purchasing the installation ($10,000) the good times were over. After three weeks of not hearing anything from either Lowe's or our original installer I had to make contact with Lowe's to find out what was going on. That took one day, plus I was told the carpeting was not in nor was all of the material for the tile. Then the next day was told all of the tile was in and the installer called to tell me they could do the installation in December. Keep in mind I purchased everything the first of Oct. Called Lowe's, they got another installer. Then during the installation I had to pay an additonal $300 for 1/4 round that the original installer had left off the order. Overall communication from both installation office and the salespeople was again, non existent and when it did happen due to my contacting them the communication was either curt or unaware I had bought anything. The entire experience was not worth the supposed savings ($$$??) Everyone I had to deal with was very unprofessional and demonstrated a total lack of exhibiting any type customer service.
Description of Work: Purchased material for tile and carpet installation for our entire house, approx 1900 sq ft. Installation crew was excellent for tile, have not had carpet installed as yet.

Found a very good deal on an offer for the carpet. The staff were very knowledgeable in helping me chose the carpet and depending on my capabilities, advising me how to save on extra costs by preping the rooms for the carpet fitters myself. They advised me on the best way to lift up an old carpet and where to dispose it. The hardest thing I had to do was move the furniture out of the room, my biggest worry was how to get the furniture back in without damaging the new carpet, but once the carpet fitters were done they asked me if I needed a hand to get the furniture back in to the room, now I thought that is service.Everything went according to plan, no delays or problems with scheduling, they kept me abreast of things all the time I could not of asked for anything better, very proffessional. The carpet was layed, furniture moved back in and my wife is very happy with it, what more could I ask for ?
Description of Work: Fit new carpet in master bedroom and 2 closets.
