Oven didn't work. Replaced it twice. Both dead on arrival. Obviously, someting is wrong with the model, but the were still advertising it. Manager stopped taking my calls. Very poor service. Go to a big box store.
Description of Work: Sold me a defective range, and didn't make it right.

Hi my name is J.R.Roden. I am the General Sales Manager of John's Appliance and Bedding. I have researched your complaint and find that we delivered three (3) different ranges. According to our notes there seemed to be an electrical problem. Each time we delivered a range, we invested service time trying to help you solve the problem. In the end, we understood it was a short of some type. The proof lies in the fact that all three ranges were sold at a great discount. All three are in the field and working perfectly. The model you are referring to as a "lemon" is the FFEF3018LW. A model that we have carried for several years and have sold thousands. I would never use this repair service again as their office staff are inefficient, arrogant and obnoxious. When the Tuesday came when the repairman said they could come back, I called the store to check on when to expect them - the customer service person who answered the phone told me to hold, then came back and said that I had parts that had to be ordered and that would take 7 to 10 days, and when the parts came in, they would then call me to schedule the serviceman. I told this person what the repairman had told me, but she just kept telling me I must wait 7 to 10 days for the parts and that the repairman would not have told me any such thing as he was not authorized to schedule repairs. I hung up, thought about it, then called back and asked what the cost of the parts and the repairs were going to be and was told that I would get that information from "Melissa" and she would call me when she had time, but she was very busy. Anything else I tried to ask was interrupted by "Maam, you have to wait 7 to 10 days for the parts to be ordered" and then she just put me on hold. I thought about that and then got in my car and drove to John's Appliance City in Daytona Beach. There was an employee at the service desk who identified herself as Melinda and I asked to see the Manager. She told me the manager had left for the day; then I asked to speak to Melissa and was told no one by that name worked there - then she said I must have mistaken the name and probably was referring to herself, "Melinda". As soon as I started to tell her my problem, she identified me by name and then left the desk to go in the back, apparently to speak to the telephone contact - she was already aware of my previous conversation with that person. She came back and said there had been a mixup in the paper work which had not been put in the parts order box. She first maintained that I had parts that needed to be ordered, but then changed her tune and offered to have the serviceman come out in the next few days. This was Tuesday and they sent the repairman out on Thursday. I asked for an estimate on the repairs and she told me it would be about $175. There was no apology for their screw up, but no parts needed to be ordered; they had the snubber and belt needed in stock. If I had not made the trip to the store, I might still be waiting for this repair to be made.
Description of Work: I made an appointment to have my washer repaired - it was making a loud squealing noise on the power spin. The serviceman arrived right on time, diagnosed the problem, and said I needed a snubber which he did not have on his truck, but was sure they had at the store, and they could come back to do the repair on the following Tuesday (this was on Thursday). He returned on the following Thursday and repaired the washer - I have no complaints about the serviceman - he was very professional and the washer is working just fine.
