 + -1 morePatrick was very easy to work with and explained the whole process. He took great care to mask off the cabinets, counters, etc. so they would not get any overspray. He was very neat and did a good job cleaning up afterward. I had always been told how smelly this paint was, but it really was not that bad. He ventilated the kitchen and I was able to stay in the next room while he worked. It only took about 3 to 3-1/2 hours, most of which was covering and uncovering what was not to be sprayed. The odor dissipated after a day and I could smell it slightly for a few days when I came in from outside. I am very happy with the results and the neutral color I chose.
Description of Work: I had not liked the color of the tile on my kitchen backsplash since I moved in 16 years ago. He was able to paint it a different color and it looks great. What a difference.

 + -1 moreThe first worker/preparer arrived promptly at 8 am. He was very personable and was careful with my oak floors to the extend of taking off his shoes and laying his equipment on a protective cloth. His boss/company owner called to say he would arrive between 12:30 and 1:00 and he came just after 12:30. He did an excellent job resurfacing and making the bottom of the tub slip proof with a rubber mat no longer necessary. He also grouted around the tub which I had not known was included. I am very pleased with the whole transaction.

Description of Work: Patrick was very professional and came at the appointed hour exactly. He refinished 2 bathroom countertops to look like beautiful granite, he spray painted both of the bases so that they looked like new and he repaired some nicks in our already, refinished, very old shower. We were pleased with everything although be prepared for a bit of a clean up afterwards. Patrick was very good about clean up but there will always be a film of fine dust over furniture, etc. and I wish he had told me that so that I could have covered everything. As it was, I had to even empty the bookcases, vacuum and re-wash bedding etc. We have not used those particular 2 bathrooms as yet so I cannot comment on durability of the counters but I will know after my B&B re-opens this summer. One thing I did notice was that the paint along the edges of the backsplash was pulled off by the masking tape and must be repainted and blended in. That's my next "to do " thing. All in all, the work he did looks beautiful. I did think that his prices were a little high but I have paid less and been disappointed.

 + 0 moreThe job went entirely as scheduled. The sink and tub/shower enclosure were completed in one day and the faux sandstone was completed 2 days later after allowing the fixtures to dry. Patrick the owner showed up as promised at 8 a.m. and worked till late afternoon to finish the fixtures then returned 2 days later, again at 8 a.m to do the counter top. He left the work area clean after each session. We waited a month before writing this evaluation as we wanted to make sure things held up well before commenting. It did and we are extremely pleased with the results. Our original intent was to replace the sink and counter top with a new cabinet and sink fixture. Patrick showed us before and after photos of his method of refinishing exiting counters with a finish that looks amazingly like stone. The new surface was available in a number of different styles, we chose the sandstone. We couldn't be more pleased with the results.
Description of Work: One of our bathrooms had salmon colored sink toilet and enclosed shower/tub. They resurfaced both the sink and the shower/tub to white. In addition they refinished the existing sink counter top that was a white laminate to a faux sandstone. We replaced the toilet with a new white one.

I was reviewing pertinent info on TOH forum website when I came across good info regarding the refinishing process from Patrick at Resurface Specialist.com. I emailed him in the morning with some questions I had and my phone rang within 15 min after I had emailed him. It was Patrick. He was very pleasant and very informative about what I should look for in getting the job done and in choosing a company as well as the limitations of the process. Unfortunately he does not come to Boston because I would have hired him. I have interviewed another refinishing company and I feel Patrick takes alot of pride in his work and does an exceptional job refinishing.
