Description of Work: My garage door was not opening. Over the phone he thought it was a spring. It turned it out it was not. The arm that attaches the opener to the door has a metal plate on the end that requires 5 screws. All the screws fell out. He needed to put in 5 screws. He charged me $75 and I thought was awfully steep for screws. My husband was out of town so I had no choice but to pay $75 for 5 screws. He was there 10 minutes.

+ -1 moreI found Mike senior and Mike junior to be trully gentlemen ,men of their word , they do an excellent job ,are on time , very courteous ,prompt and know what they are doing , I would have no hesitation to hire them again and to recommend them to any one who may need their services . Their price is very reasonable and the quality of work outstanding .
Description of Work: I contacted Mike senior about having the garage doors serviced ,he was prompt and very courteous in his response ,said he will contact me later in the day with the times available . He called us in the evening and set up the time the next day when Mike junior came on time and serviced the doors . We need to install a key pad to open one of the garage door from the out side and Mike came a day later to install it as promised .

Their service was AWESOME (which is few and far between) and the price was very fair. Give them a call and you will NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!!!

+ 0 moreThey came out immediately for the repair. They arranged a narrow time frame with me and called when they were on the way. The repair price was as quoted by phone. They worked quickly and were done in less than 30 minutes. I have had no problems since.
Description of Work: Extremely punctual, responsive, and absolutely reasonable prices. I have used their services twice, had been recommended by a friend, and have recommended them to other friends. All of us have been extremely pleased. I have used another company in the past and while they were punctual and responded quickly, they were more expensive and would charge a very large fee to come out and give an estimate. While they would apply it to the repair, it meant that you had no choice but to continue with their service and not check to see if the cost was comparable to others. This is not the case with The Garage Door King. They will give you a free estimate and they price their services fairly.

+ -1 moreMike was prompt to arrive, reassessed the work that he needed to do and explained it to us. He was efficient, neat and very professional as well as courteous. He did not charge us for the work because he felt it was compromised and not of the quality he provides This service was above and beyond.
Description of Work: Mike (owner of DK) and his son evaluated (at our request) a garage door and auto opener job that was completed by one of their employees approx. 4-5 years ago and found the installation inferior to their quality and integrity of work, they re-installed and corrected what needed to be done in full.

+ -1 moreSo I was happy to get good service at a low price. He was very nice also to our tenant that was in the property who met him at the property where the repair took place. Our tenant said he would definitely do business with him again. Also, it was great to have same day service and repair.
Description of Work: Mike was professional and punctual and $70.00 less for the same repair that I had priced with a competitor. The garage door springs needed replacement.
