It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It worked out well. The door works good now.

Everything went well when we finally made contact. Did everything that the special offered & didn't try to upsell me anything. Would use them again if there is ever a problem with my garage door.

Received a call from them about 2-3 weeks after I paid for the job. He explained he would honor the discounted price and would call back within a week to schedule a time. 2 weeks went by and no call. Hired someone else to do job.

Mike Homan came to our house 3 times trying to make the existing garage door opener work and installing new circuit boards (2 times). These attempts did not work and there were no charges for the multiple trips. Work was performed and adjustmets made, but not until the 4th trip where a new opener was installed did he charge for anything. Mike was always very professional and called many times with updates. After the installation, everything worked better than when we started

They did a superb job. I thought it was going to be expensive, but it was not. The provider was supposed to come out at 5pm today, but I called him and told him that my car was stuck in the garage and he moved around all of his appointments and came out early in the morning. The garage door is fixed for the time being, but I do know I will have to replace it eventually. I told him that I would not need to shop around for another provider, I will use him for that next service.

Service was prompt and professional. The guys were very friendly and explained everything thoroughly. Would recommend this company for sure.

Called me to schedule quickly. Despite being busy they had me done in a few days. Serviceman mike was very professional yet for for friendly. He knew what he was doing and explained to me everything. Doors work better and quieter now. Will use them again.

Technician arrived on time, and had also called when he was on his way. He got right to work verifying that the springs were in good shape but needed to be tightened so that the garage door opener wouldn't have to strain to lift the door. Once confirmed, he tightened the springs and tested the doors to make sure they were perfectly balanced. As he was doing the work, I asked him questions about what he was doing and why. His answers made it clear that he was very experienced, knew his stuff, and was not there to "upsell" me on services that weren't needed. Once the doors were balanced, he sprayed liquid graphite onto the hinges and springs and then tested the sensativity of the door to ensure it would reverse if it came down on something. It all worked perfectly. I was very pleased with his knowledge and professionalism, and will use him again.

Mike replaced our garage door a few years ago and it went well so we contacted him about replacing the old opener. He is quick to respond, ordered the parts and got the job done fast and correctly. I got one of the new openers with all cool features like being able to see if the door is open from your iPhone. He even oiled my door to make significantly quieter. I would recommend him.

Excellent. I met with Mike who handled this call personally. Even though my door is only 3 years old he did not pressure or try to sell me an additional service that I did not need at this time. Michael was totally professional. He arrived promptly when expected, evaluated the situation and proceeded to make the necessary repairs. He was polite, informative and very knowledgeable about his profession. I enjoyed speaking with him while the repair was made. He completed the task in a short period of time and did a very fine job. I'd like to add that one of our cars had a dead battery inside the garage and Michael offered to jump start it for me. Unfortunately, I didn't have the cables that were needed. .

I called at 8am and thought I would have to leave a message but Mike answered the phone right away. He scheduled an appointment for the same day. He was very considerate and called before arrival to let me know he was on his way. We have not used our garage door for months because I thought it would be too costly to fix. But we needed to move some furniture out of our garage and that is when I found Garage Door King's ad on Angie's List. I used the advertised coupon and there were NO additional charges. I was extremely happy with the service. It was so affordable and easy I should have done it months ago! Thank you for doing such a great job :)

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. There were no extra charges. They did what they said they were going to do. It's been a few weeks and there is definitely a noticeable difference so it is way better than it was. It has probably solved whatever was going on with it. I guess it was maybe not straight on its track but I didn't call them back to check on it because I think they intended for this coupon to be mostly in North Palm Beach County and I'm in Southern Palm Beach County and they don't come down here much. It's probably fine. I never really paid attention to the door before. The guy was great, super nice, he initiated all the phone calls, he had to get it set up and he definitely wanted to do the work. I had no problem referring them when something happened to my neighbor's garage door but I don't know if he was able to get down here to try to fix it. We saw a sign on a truck and it was like the same service for $40 but I'm sure that when they got here, it would have gotten jacked up so I'm comfortable with their pricing knowing their reputation. It was worth it. He did what should have been done and my husband was never going to do it. It was just worth getting it done. The only inhibition I have was that I felt like we were kind out of his way. I kind of wish he hadn't said that we were sort of out of his way.

3 in the afternoon the garage door spring broke. Called and they arrived in 1 1/2 hrs. Replaced spring and adjusted door. Grand job.

On Father's Day morning we were prepared to go out. However, when the door would not open, we checked all we could to determine the issue. Both springs had broken. I called the original garage door installer and left a message as they provide weekday service only. I surveyed Angie's List, looking for the most local company I could. I found "A Garage Door King" and they listed the times they were available, even Sundays. I called at 8:00am and received a return call within 30 minutes. Even though it was Father's Day, Mike was willing to come to review and repair our door, but noted he was engaged with his family that morning. He did say because it was a weekend and a holiday, the rate would be higher. We expected that and would have said the same if that was our company. We were grateful to have some one interested in the project and encouraged Mike to spend the time he should with his family. He did call before arriving just before noon. Mike assessed the problem as, in fact, broken springs and cables (cables were obviously damaged and needed replaced) . He checked his truck for proper replacement materials, then set to work removing and replacing the springs and cables. Mike worked diligently and efficiently. His expertise was obvious. Even with limited space (as both vehicles were trapped in the garage), he completed the work in a manner that was respectful to both the cars and to our time. Mike also reset the remotes to the garage door opener once the work was complete. Also, he showed us the proper way to lubricate the door and springs to improve performance/life-span and to help with the longevity of the opener motor. He told us the normal rate for new springs and installation and the price for the cables and allowed us to decide on what it was worth to us for the work to have been completed on Father's Day. The cost noted above is the weekday price - we chose to express our gratitude for the time, service and expertise with additional overtime compensation. I was so impressed that Mike chose NOT to up-sell anything. He made no attempt to sell us a new door (this one is a basic contractor grade) or new opener (he said the existing one was a good one with a good motor). I have already offered "A Garage Door King" contact info to friends/co-workers and DEFINITELY will call them if I ever have ANY garage door issues.

I have been meaning to replace the rollers for quite sometime. I found A Garage door King that was close to me. I spoke with Mike the owner and he was able to come out within 1 hour. I saw the $99 roller special and the tuneup and decided that that was a deal. Mike checked everything out tested the operation of travel on the door, adjusted the sensors, lubricated the hinges, replaced the rollers which were the original to the door ( 17yrs old). He suggested that in the future the springs should be replaced, even though they were replaced about 7yrs ago. The tension of the springs were very heavy and made the motor work very hard.. He gave me a price and I said do it!. Very easy to work with and certainly knows his business. I have already recommened him to several neighbors and would use his services again. The garage door is quieter than its ever been, you can barely hear it . Thanks for the great service and attention.
