Description of Work: I used Robert E. Rueckert, a year ago. He painted the bathrooms. He has also painted the basement and my whole house in the past.

Description of Work: We own a small Cape Cod home that needed to have the whole interior, 2 floors, painted. The job was complicated since 3 of the rooms had old wall paper on them. The house is a 2 bedroom bath and a half with a solarium attached. Robert gave us an estimate which was slightly higher than the others who gave us estimates but I was impressed that Robert was going to do all the work himself. He does not sub contract out and does not have a helper. Each day he arrives, does the prep work and when he leaves restores the room to excellent shape so that you can continue living in your house without feeling like you are in a construction zone. Robert removed the wallpaper, patched holes and even helped me when I wanted to remove old brass doorknob plates that a previous owner had unfortunately painted over. There were holes where light fixtures had gotten loose, floor molding that was missing and window sills that needed special attention. Robert fixed them all before putting on the paint, a consummate professional going above and beyond just slapping on a coat of paint and calling it a day. My house now sparkles. Itis a joy to live in. He helped me pick the kind of finish, flat, semi gloss or satin. When I could not make up my mind on a particular combination, he painted 2 areas in the two different ways so that I could decide....never belittling my lack of decision.
