Friday morning - desperation service request to Carol at A1-American Electric, Inc. Informed Electrician (Mike) was busy on a service call, but she would let me know if he would be able to make it that day, possibly in the early afternoon. Received affirmation call before 1:00 pm from Carol and then a call from Mike to receive further work clarification and give ETA. Mike arrived promptly and efficiently completed service changing out electrical circuit. New microwave was professionally installed, looks and works great; and the Home (Wife) happy again. All done at a reasonable service charge; especially for a short notice work request. Thanks A-1 American Electric, Inc., Carol & Mike!

It was okay. He was sloppy where he left plates still off the wall that I had to replace after he had done it on the inside. I had a lot of electrical work needed to be done. He left my attic access open. I don't think I would use them again. After he left, there was a box he put two screws in...shortcuts stuff like that I asked him to come over and build two holes and he knew I need a lot of electrical work to be done and still charged me to build that two holes. The price is fair.

My microwave tripped a breaker every time I used it with the kitchen lights on. Mike explained that it had originally be wired for just an exhaust fan over the stove. He replaced the breaker and now microwave, and kitchen lights all work together. I had one wall light switch that was put in upside down, so whenever I wanted to turn it on and slide the dimmer...I was confused because it was in a plate of 3 lights with 2 switches working properly. Mike fixed this with no problem. The other problem was a couple of switches that would not work to power my patio lights and my patio ceiling fans. Again, Mike to the rescue and all is well now. I had an old ceiling fan in my bedroom and wanted a new one installed. Mike took the old one down and replace it. I am now happy and cool. Mike is professional and does a fabulous job. He shows up punctually and gets right to it. I have used him before at other houses and will continue to rely on him when I have problems.

They gave me a discount on the service. The work went very well. One of the fixture that he replaced is a dusk to dawn motion sensor, and when he tested it, installed it, and left. I went out to see and the light was on, so I called him, and I was expecting him to call me back because I didn't get him, but a couple of hours later, he was at my gate, to check what was going on. I really appreciated that he showed up, and the light was off at that time, because it had cycled through the test mode. He was over all a nice and pleasant guy. He had a very great service demeanor.

We got this company through Angie's List. They did some work for us a couple of times in the last year. They did a quality work, and they were on time. They were great! I can call them anytime I needed them. The guy who came was great. He showed up on time. He was very clean and very organized, and he knew what he was looking for. He did the repair that took about an hour, and then, he cleaned. I would absolutely continue to use him again in the future.

We lost partial power in a number of areas at the house, including our A/C and water. No water also means no baths and no toilets. Yuck! I panicked and tried calling around looking for an electrician. Because it was Sunday I was getting no where. Even the places that said 24/7 were not calling back. (One did call back many hours later after it was all running.) I ended up calling A-1-American Electric even though it did not say they will come on Sundays. I spoke to Carol and told her my problem. She immediately said it sounded like it might be an FPL outage and suggested I check with the neighbors and see if they were out also. I did and they also had no A/C, no water, etc. So I called FPL and it was a transformer. Carol had said if FPL was not the problem to call back and she would sent Mike out. Being 73 years old, the mind is not as swift as it once was and I had not even given it a thought that it might be an FPL problem. A-1-American Electric could have sent out an electrician and charged me extra because it was a Sunday. Instead they offered a solution that saved us money and got the transformer fixed in 4 hours. It's not always easy to find honest and helpful people ... not to even mention she was the only one who even answered the phone!

We had a bad smell coming from our internal breaker box and suspected that it was going bad. I called A1, they showed up, diagnosed the problem, showed me what was happening, made recommendations. They quoted me a price and a repair time and both were adhered to. They were on time to do the work, made sure it was right before they left. No problems since. Overall... a great repair experience.

Got estimates from several other companies that were double the price. The quality was excellent -- was expecting mess to clean up but there wasn't any. Very professional -- I would definitely hire them again.

Called A 1 Electric on Wednesday to come install light kits on 2 ceiling fans. Mike came Thursday morning and installed the light kits. He had to do additional work to hook up the wires so that I could turn the lights on from a wall switch. He had to remove the whole ceiling fan to get at the wires. Mike is knowledgeable, professional, personable and did a great job!! I will contact him again when I need electrical work done.

We recommend A1 American Electric, Inc., quite highly and are so very pleased with their extraordinary service.Their electrical technician came to the house on a three-hour notice at no extra cost.
