We called Sean based on the amazing Angie's List reviews and I have to say, they exceeded our expectations by a mile. Honestly, I wish there was an A+ rating button on this site. Sean and crew were prompt, professional and courteous. They really focus on the details and the house and deck have never looked better. Sean uses the highest quality materials and consults all along the way. Sean's crew is equally amazing?super friendly to my wife, kids and even my dogs. They provided color recommendations along the way and have a lot of experience and provide great advice. They go way above and beyond in every facet of the job. Sean and crew take there time and pay attention to all the details. I would hire them again in 2 seconds and will be recommending them to anyone I know that's in need of an honest, reliable and professional crew. Hire them and you will not be disappointed.

I had to call him twice before I got a call back initially. Once he came out, he was very nice and professional. He said he would have an estimate to me within a week. I did not hear from him. I called again to check in and left a message. I still have not heard back and it has been 13 days since he was here.

I spoke with Sean Downs on a Friday afternoon to obtain a quote for painting my garage walls and having an epoxy antiskid flooring applied on my garage floor. He had his crews on site the following Monday morning and they completed the job two days later. Sean worked within my budget and pressing timeline. His crews were very professional, cordial and did an outstanding job. I highly recommend Sean and his company and would definitely use them again in the future.

Sean came by Fri, the next day after contact, very nice person. Even though he was busy, they started on Mon morning, took 5 days, which is what I would expect, with our weather, plus it was super hot up there. Going to get a quote on doing the whole house next.............

Sean and his team did a great job. Sean met with his team at the job site (my home) each morning to review the job & progress, set expectations specific to my job, coached skills and pitched in personally where needed and "check-in" with his site lead at appropriate frequency through out the day. We did a whole house remodel broken into 2 phases. Sean actually checked in with me to see if I was ready for him to come back for Phase 2 as scheduled. Excellent work. Highly recommended. Easy to work with. Will use him in the future and my realtor has added him to her recommended contractor list for her clients.

A standout effort! The Sean Downs crew displayed an extraordinary attention to detail and professionalism. Every stage of this project has been a pleasure. After a call to Sean, he promptly came out to assess the job, gave me excellent recommendations for type of paint, and provided an fair price for the job. The preparation of the house prior to painting was detailed and thorough to include cleaning the walls, caulking the windows, and even digging a couple inches along the base of the house to ensure that area was painted. The painting was done quickly but extremely well. And lastly, the clean up was exceptional. Sean's crew even cleaned and repainted my coach lights before they were reinstalled (they look better now than when bought new). In addition, they did a super job painting the pool deck - it never looked as good and from watching them paint it I am confident it will last a long time. Bottomline: Sean Downs Painting performs to the highest standards. Not only am I very happy with the painting job, I have already had 2 unsolicited very positive comments from neighbors and friends about how good the house looks. Highly recommend!

Every aspect of the entire project went incredibly well. From the initial consultation with Sean the owner, to the scheduling of the project, the actual painting, cleaning up and follow through,everything went about as perfect as any home improvement we've ever had performed on any of our homes over all these many years. The project was well supervised and well coordinated. The entire painting crew was courteous, helpful and hard-working. Everyone was very responsive to our requests and wishes. It was, without a doubt the best paint job we ever had or observed.And amazingly enough,there was absolutely no items on my punch list after the job was completed. And that's speaking volumes for any contractor in any trade. As you can tell,the whole experience was positive in every way for my wife and I.Sean and his crew did a truly outstanding job and we would highly recommend them without hesitation!

I contacted this provider because of excellent AL reviews. He responded immediately to my inquiry. We met with him to discuss all of the details and were very impressed with his professionalism. We have a Tudor style home that has been updated with additional stucco finishing and Florida colors. However, some of the beams needed replacing or repair and he was able to accomplish those repairs/replacements. His prep of the house also included power-washing the house as well as the gutters and downspouts, and power washing our driveway (which was a very pleasant surprise!). The house exterior was sealed and primed as well. We decided to redo the color scheme and he was very cooperative in allowing us to try several sample colors. We had planned a vacation at the same time that his crew was available to begin work, so it was with great reluctance that we left and had them paint. By the time we returned a week later, the house was almost finished. To our delight, our color choice was perfect, the work was beautiful and we could not have been happier! There were 4 or 5 people working on the house when the main areas were prepped and the majority of the painting was done. They arrived early each day, were hard-working, polite and very professional. When they finished each day, the area around the house was cleaned up and trash thrown away. I am a detail person and all of my requests were met with politeness from Sean and all of his crew. My phone calls and emails to Sean were answered immediately. We will need interior painting done at some point and I would not hesitate to call Sean again! Excellent job, he came to my home the same day I put in the request for an estimate. He understood we had a tight timeline was able to complete the job right away. Work crew was on time, professional and did a fantastic job. Great quality and we are very pleased with both the price and the outcome. High recommendations, we will definitely use this contractor again.

Work accomplished by a base crew of two senior level painters, augmented by two or three additional painters from time to time as required to maintain promised schedule completion. Sean Downs personally maintained sufficient presence at the job site to ensure the quality of the work met his high standards and that the work was progressing satisfactorily. He provided an initial bid for the overall painting effort (competitive) and worked with the owner by breaking down costs for certain efforts (such as fence post painting, door repair, etc.) that the owner subsequently decided were not required, thereby reducing the price for the overall job. On several occasions his crew went above and beyond contract requirements to make sure I was pleased with their efforts (e.g., painting the inside of some doors, although the contract only required exterior paint, painting more items than specified in contract to provide a more "complete look" for the overall painting effort. Overall an excellent job.

They were terrific. Did the job fast and clean aand cleaned up afteer them, they removed and replaced all the hardware. An excellent job from start to finish.

Sean and his team of five painters were professional in everyway. We purchased our home December 18th, and the moving truck with our furniture was due to arrive from Atlanta December 30th, 12 days later over Christmas! We had to paint the entire house interior without the furniture, the schedule was unbelievably tight! Consequently, I searched AngiesList for the very best Painter Contractors. My wife met with several reputable painters at our new home, and finally selected Sean. Sean had a gentle, unassuming confident way about him, and had a great customer interface. He listened carefully to our needs, and proposed to paint the interior of our home with the highest quality Benjamin Moore Paint, start immediately, and finish per our schedule, at a very good price. He was all business, no fuss, no mess. The workmanship was the best I have ever seen, sharp, crisp paint lines, no sloppiness at all, almost no paint spots on the floor, he transformed our house! Sean was patient, always available to discuss and suggest paint colors and finishes, he had no problem repainting if we changed wall colors, at all times he was respectful of my wife and me. Everyday he cleaned up before he left, always arrived on time in the morning. He suggested applying the two part epoxy with decorative flakes on the garage floor, and transformed the garage into beautiful space. His team members were all gentlemen and worked well together with no complaining. I recommend Sean to all, you can't do better at any price!

He did an excellent job. They pressured washed the house first. Service was excellent, it was done sooner then estimated. They worked me in and went around my schedule.e They did a great job painting and cleaned up very well. Sean himself came everyday to make sure the work was top quality. He would point out places he wanted them to go over again even though I thought it was fine.

They came out, gave us a free estimate and left us some color swatches to choose from.They were very thorough, cleaned up at the end of each day, and were very personable. The staff was very hard working and they completed the work in a timely fashion.

Sean Downs started the job within the time frame quoted. He used "Top Shelf" quality paint. Once he started, he had an employee at the house every workday until the job was finished. The workmen were very organized and VERY CLEAN. The job was outstanding. I would hire Sean for future work without hesitation. His prices were in the range of quotes I obtained. A real good company to work with.

I am extraordinarily pleased with all the work performed by this company. I contracted with Sean Downs to paint the exterior of my house after interviewing and receiving bids from three other highly rated Angie's List contractors. While all the bids were reasonably close dollar wise, his was the only one based on applying the paint with a roll and brush method recommend by Hardie Plank. The extent of the work completed was as follows: The house, soffits, and fascia were pressure washed, then a sealer was applied to all walls and trim, all the joints in the Hardie Plank siding were sealed with elastomeric caulking, then two coats of Sherwin Williams satin paint were applied. All of this was done with absolute perfection by the most amazingly pleasant crew. I am a perfectionist, but their attention to detail constantly amazed me. The crew removed all light fixtures, which gave me the opportunity to refinish them before they were re-hung. The downspouts were removed, painted and re-hung. The weather striping and handles on the doors were removed. All gutters and drip edges were painted. They even dug the dirt away from the base of the house by 6", painted below and then re-filed. All work was shear perfection, and I will gladly recommend them and re-hire them for all future painting jobs!

I was very happy with the professionalism and attention to detail by Sean and his crew. They went out of their way to see that things were completed to my satisfaction and worked within my schedule, having to return after floors were installed to finish the baseboards. Willing to make small changes as the project went along. I plan to have some additional work done in the future and wouldn't hesitate to contact them again. I would recommend this company for your painting needs, large or small.

Sean Downs and his crew were very professional, courteous, and very skilled at what they did. I was skeptical at first that they wouldn't be able to complete the job in the time they proposed but they proved me wrong! Their experience is obvious and you can tell they enjoy what they do. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anybody.

Sean and his crew were wonderful....Professional, neat, clean, courteous, punctual. Crew on time daily and very informative about job. Sean was in and out of job site daily, usually several times a day. Worked with me on using existing paint left from previous owner of home. Had great suggestions and listened to mine about what really needed painting 'all over' vs touch up. Also, originally I was on schedule for 2 weeks out and he knew I was in from out of state and wanted the work done ASAP so when he had a cancellation, he worked me in. I will definitely use this company again and highly recommend to anyone that needs painting done!! Matter of fact, my son has requested an estimate from him already for some exterior painting.

The painting services of Sean Downs Painting and Wallcovering, Inc. were outstanding. Whereas Sean's estimate was not the lowest we received, both my husband and I feel we got our money's worth. Four people worked on our house -- two inside and two outside. The team members were likeable, polite and not disruptive to our family routine at all. It only took one day to complete the interior painting, and then the team of four worked on the outside together. The interior work is beautiful and perfect. The details were exquisitely done; in fact, the team did some extra work (not requested by us) to bring some of other baseboard cut work in line with the work done by these professional painters. The temperatures were very high during entire period during which the exterior of the house was painted; however, the team was extremely careful in their work. All of the painters paid close attention to the prep work and the actual painting (the former being more time consuming than the latter.) They dug down into the dirt about 6" below ground all around the walls of the house, carefully bagged up all windows and scraped all outside window frames. Two solid coats of paint were carefully applied to the exterior. Finally, Sean and the painters were good-natured and patient at the end of the job, without complaint repainting the front door another color (requiring three coats) than the one we had originally chosen. I would highly recommend this company to anyone wanting a truly excellent paint job.
