My husband suggested that we go ahead and have the popcorn removed from the living room and dining area and a new texture put on the ceiling, plus paint a few areas in the kitchen. The representative said that they could do all the work in one day. The job really turned out to be a lot of work to do in one day, probably too much. The workmen did a nice job of covering our furniture, but after all the work had been done, we noticed there were some places in the ceiling that needed addtional recoating. Also, on the sides of the light fixtures and air-conditioner ducts there were built up areas of residue. The residue came from not removing the fixtures, the workmen had put tape on the fixtures instead. The popcorn was still around the fixtures and additional residue from the new ceiling texture. I spoke to the representative of the company and asked if just the places on the ceiling could be redone. He said he was going to have his team completely redo the ceilings. The work did come out okay after it was redone. There is still one small area in the kitchen that was missed when it was painted.

They never answered my call and never called me back.

This review is based purely on a request for an estimate concerning the entire interior painting of my Mother in-law's home; I had been given the task from her family to get three bids since the home is being put up for sale.On Tuesday I contacted this business (as well as two others) and a real person did answer the phone. I asked if I could have an estimate done the next day if at all possible since it was my husband's one day off. She replied that Vincent would call me back, which he did. When I told him the time range that was still available (anywhere around 2:00) he said he would call me in the morning and let me know what time he would be there. At 1:30 I still had not heard from him so again I called the office, the same female answered and said she would contact him for me. I gave her my husband's cell phone number so that Vincent could call him directly (since he was already at my Mother in-laws home). Instead he called me around 2:45 and asked me for my husband's number so he could let him know he was on his way. I told him it was fine and he didn't have to call, my husband was there while other companies were there to give estimates. He said okay, but called me back just a moment later and asked me if the other companies were their to give estimates for the same job, I said yes. My husband never received a call from Vincent, so he left the property at 4:40.I received a phone call from Vincent the following evening, at 7:40 PM, saying he wanted to come by to give me an estimate. He said that he had come by the house but saw another Painting company there so he left. I explained that we got estimates the previous day and we had already chosen someone for the job. At that point he became unprofessional with a nasty tone in his voice and hung up.Long story short, he missed out on a large job for not showing up and giving an estimate.

just make sure you know exactly what they are doing and what you are paying for. It is not just popcorn they are working with.

They did a great job. They removed the popcorn ceiling and replaced it. They did a wonderful job.

Called twice and left my number. They promised to call back and set up a visit to estimate. Also tried e-mailing. They never responded and I gave up trying.

Received written estimate. The color used was not the color approved. Addtional charges were added after estimate. Painters left paint buckets all around house and yard. Light fixtures were left hanging.

The job with Joseph Stevens Painting Inc Company went very well. They had to come back and do some more work. They did it and did it in good spirits. It worked out very well. It was a great experience. Their workmen were Mexican and they did not speak a lot of English but they understood me. They worked really hard. They were very pleasant to have around. They were two men. They just did a really good job. When they were here the first time we had a really bad weather. They had to come back and go over some of the taping. Now the ceiling looks smooth and pretty. They did take a while to get back to me initially but they did. They were busy with work spread over five counties. However, the same crew was sent back. They were back within a month. They did a perfect job in the end. I would certainly use them again.

Did not hire the company due to improper quote and the Part Owner Jess Stevens using bad business practices.

They were fast and seemed to know their work. They did not rehang all the blinds as some were broken but this was okay.

From the estimate to the completion of work, they were professional and extremely neat. The finished work was perfect. I am as pleased they will be painting the whole first floor.

I contacted Mr. Stevens, the patriarch of the family owned business by phone to request a free estimate. Mr. Stevens was very personable and I was quickly contacted by one of his sons who came out on a Saturday to provide an estimate. The son was very helpful in providing additional information for other services we would need to remodel the room (ie tile, carpentry etc). The work was scheduled quickly and work executed in a very professional manner, job site was left clean. Very pleasent experience with no surprises. Very pleased with work preformed. Will use this company for future jobs.

I had a great experience with them. They did a very good job. They cleaned up after they finished the work. They did everything they said they would. They actually did more than what they said they would. I rate them high overall.
