Did a wonderful job. Discovered a squirrel's nest in the palm tree with three babies in it and made sure they moved the nest to a safe Sunny Spot. The mother did come back and get the babies!

Employees cut a native flowering vine that I had been training to grow up a palm tree. When they realized they were at the wrong address, they just left the remains of the vine in the yard and left. No one told me about it. I only found out by accident when I called the owner to complain about an irrigation head they had damaged (and not mentioned). Although the owner promised to have the sprinkler head fixed, his response to the destruction of the vine was a weak apology and an assertion that nothing could be done about it. (This was not the first special planting of mine they had destroyed or damaged...there was a sugar maple, a swamp magnolia, and a young oak). I decided to terminate his service right then. He agreed that I would not have to pay for that month (June). By the time he finally sent someone out to fix the sprinkler (August), I had already paid someone else to fix it. Then he sent me a bill for June three times, until I sent a stern letter reminding him of our agreement and that he had not done whaat he said he would do.
Description of Work: Due to poor supervision, employees came to the right neighborhood but the wrong address and cut down a vine.

They are a local group. I pay per month because I have extra services. They normally charge $70 a month for normal lawn maintenance but they also spray the weeds around the pool area and take care of the mulch so I pay extra. They are prompt. Cost-wise they are fair. They do all sorts of landscaping and trim trees and bushes. They do everything. They clean gutters. They killed everything and planted my whole yard with sod. It came up beautifully and has stayed that way for years.
Description of Work: I use Flawless Lawncare & Landscaping once a week to do my lawn. They do lawn service, weed spraying and mulching.

In June 2013, I noticed that one of my backyard sprinkler heads had been damaged by the lawn mower. (They mow too fast and cut too low.) I called the owner, Mike Cram, about getting the sprinkler fixed - two months before I had the whole system fixed, so I knew the damage was from the lawn service. While on the phone, he apologized about "cutting the vine". I didn't know what he was talking about, so he said, "oh never mind." He agreed to have someone come out and fix the sprinkler...this was about the 20th of June. Over the next two days, it became apparent that it was MY vine, a Florida native plant that I had intentionally planted to climb up my cabbage palm, that had been cut. The vine had been cut at ground level and above head height then torn off the trunk of the palm. There were cut marks on the palm as well. I'm guessing that about this point the crew realized they were in the WRONG YARD, and abandoned their work. No one ever said anything to me until it was inadvertantly revealed by the owner. Once I knew the vine had been killed, I called Mike out to see the damage himself and find out what he intended to do about it. I showed him the remains of the vine (part still lying in the yard where they had left the debris), also the damage sprinkler head (not fixed yet), places where the edging was so aggressive the ground was being eroded, etc. He basically said, "sorry, can't fix the vine; I thought someone had come out to fix the sprinkler." He offered me the option of ending his service with him and not being charged for June, and having one of his guys come out to fix the sprinkler. I accepted because he just didn't supervise his crews anymore and I seemed to be too far down the totem pole of customers for him to care what I thought anymore. No one showed up to fix the sprinkler even after I called 5 times...all calls went to voicemail. I had someone else come in to fix the sprinkler head on the 19th of July. Ten days someone showed up at my front door saying he was from "Flawless" to fix the sprinkler head. (No call, no coordination at all.) I told him it was already done, so he left. When I started with this company, they were very small - one crew headed by the owner himself. Then they began to expand and I didn't see him again unless I called him. The crews had different people on a regular basis. When I would ask them NOT to damage something (tree roots, the base of trees, etc), they would honor my request until the next time there was a new person on the crew. Then I would notice damage and have to make the request again. Even putting out warning flags didn't help too much because they worked so fast they'd run over the flag. Then there's the issue of the holly and maple saplings that were run over and never replaced... I stayed with Flawless for so long because I had a good price and could not afford to go elsewhere.
Description of Work: Came to the wrong yard, killed the wrong vine in the wrong palm tree.
