Everything went well Mark explained he wasn't going to charge me for the late night service call especially since he felt it was going to be an easy fix from what I explained to him . If was going to take longer than expected then he would come back but he was confident and he was right . Quick easy fix and I'm grateful .

Mark was amazing! We were having electrical issues and I was worried about a fire. I also was worried about price and getting ripped off. Deering electric came out, assessed the situation, and resolved all issues for a very low price. He provided us a quote on Wednesday and fixed everything on Thursday. He even cleaned up his mess! His work was stellar and even the sockets he added looked like they have been there for a long time. I will be hiring him again for other projects in the future. He was very nice and honest, which is hard to find these days.

I hired Mark Deering right before Christmas to relocate several switches and receptacles in the bath room, dining room and kitchen when I was replacing the cabinets and remodeling a rental house I own. Since I didn't have any cabinets in the kitchen at that time, the switch and 4 receptacles were not hooked up and he was to come back after the cabinets were installed to hook them up as is stated on his invoice "DUE TO COME BACK AND INSTALL LIGHTS UNDER THE CABINETS". I have a copy of this and picture. I installed the cabinets and I called him in March to come back and finish the job. After some discussion he didn't remember some details such as to whether he was to supply the lights and dimmer switch and I told him that I had them. He then said I did not pay him enough to install the lights under the cabinets which I then told him it is stated on his invoice. I paid him $600 for 4 hours of work which is $150.an hour when most electricians charge $95. the first hour and $75. thereafter. He told me he didn't work by the hour he works by the job. Since I didn't hear back from him I called on April 2nd and left a message, he called me back on April 7th and said he would call me on the 8th or 9th and come by which is on his way home , Since he didn't call me I called him again on the10th left another message and he called me back on the 14th and told me would call and stop by the next day, I never heard back from him. With this guys attitude I didn't want to deal with him anymore so yesterday I called another electrician who came by and hooked everything up which took about I/2 hour and he wanted $50. If anyone does hire this guy make sure you get his price by the hour and not by the job. most people think a person that works out of his truck would have less overhead and give a better price than someone that has a place of business, not so. When he relocated the receptacle in the bathroom he didn't put in or even recommend to me a GFI receptacle in the bathroom as required by code.

Needless to say, I never heard from him. Luckily, the cabinets were delayed a week. On the recommendation of a family friend, I hired another contractor with supposedly 20+ years experience. He may know electrical but he never showed up when he said he would. After paying this new electrician and quot;Clintand quot; $430, I only have half a dozen wires sticking out of my wall and breaker panel. No outlets, no lights.....nothing. I now have what I think will be a great electrician. He works fulltime for a prominent business as an on-site electrician an does residential work on the weekends. His name is Daniel Short at 321-223-1946. He just finished a large job for my parents. He showed up when he said he would, he was very polite. He did a great job, was very reasonable and never asked for a dime until the job was done.
Description of Work: Our first contact with him was very prompt since he was in the area when we called him. After that, it just went down hill from there. He gave me a very vague estimate. I called and texted him for a week before I got him to come back out to give a written estimate. He said he would call me later that day with the quote and also email it to me. At that point, it was two days before my kitchen cabinets were due to be put in.

It was very impressive. They came up with great ideas on not only how to install, but the most economical for me. I love the lights and my fan is fantastic. I will call them again anytime I need electrical help.
Description of Work: I remodeled my master bathroom and needed to have the light fixtures moved to a differnet location and installed. The bathroom is at the very end of the roof and I needed them on the outside wall which involved more than just a simple installation. I had 3 companies come out for an estimate and I liked Deering Electrical the best. Then about a week later I had them back out to install a ceiling fan including the electrical supply. Again it was complicated by the fact that there was no space in the attic to get to the place where I wanted it. I was just going to give up, but they kept thinking up new approaches to try and made it happen perfectly.
