+ -1 moreI made a down payment in September. It was late December when they actually did part of the work. The carpeting at the edge was not tacked down. The carpet was supposed to be restretched. It did not get done. I went in 3 weeks ago to talk with them. They did bill me. I did not pay and they said that they would forgive the balance. Today, they did not show again. They called and apologized again and wanted to come tomorrow. How many days does a person have to lose to get a promised job done. Their communication and performance has gone down hill.
Description of Work: Tile in my entry way.

Description of Work: I had a bunch of loose spots in my carpet in 4 different rooms from whoever installed our carpet, before I bought my house. Brian set me up with one of his carpet layers, who came out, gave me an estimate and on my approval performed the work right then and there. He had to stretch the carpet and re-tack it several times. Excellent job.

Description of Work: We were replacing the old worn out carpeting with a composite tile. Fred was more than helpful on explaining the types of tiles and the upkeep of each. He could not have been any ore helpful. After months of going back and forth we finally decided on a tile. Sad thing, although the contractor (ours) had planned to start work before Christmas he could not schedule us until April. Palatka Flooring kept our tile in their heated wear house from December till April. They assisted the contractor in loading the pallet of tile on the truck. Could not be happier with our selection and the treatment Fred gave us. Would defiantly suggest others to go there.

+ 0 moreThe problem was the person doing the work had too many jobs going all at once and did not complete the work on time. Once we knew the date was going to be missed we renegotiated the date to a second deadline, which also was missed. The quality of work degraded with each deadline missed as the workman was angered by our concern about the quality of work and missed deadlines. Our total experience was unacceptable and I personally would not recommend Palatka flooring to anyone. We did negotiate a lower price for the shoddy work and walked away unhappy customers
Description of Work: We paid Palatka flooring to resurface the hardwood floors in an older home. We contracted to have the work done before we moved in to make it easier on everyone.

+ 1 moreSuper! Several months later I visited the store and he gave me instructions for the care of the hardwood with the products that he suggested that we use.
Description of Work: This is our second home. We live in Indiana. We had picked out hardwood flooring for a renovation but when I got back to Indy I thought that it was a bad decision. I called Palatka Flooring. We were having some problems because we were trying to commuicate color over the telephone. He called a local flooring company and made arrangements with them to show us their color studio. The local company knew exactly what we were there for and helped us showing the color samples that Palatka Flooring could use. He paved the way for us and made the change very easy. They just couldn't be nicer to work with. They also coordinated with the other contracts to schedule installation on their own. While I would never use the local contractor or electrician again, Palatka flooring willo be getting a visit from us when we go to Florida this fall to finish carpeting the condominium.

+ -1 moreWe selected the flooring before we left Florida but decided that it was the wrong choice. We look around our area but could not come up with stock numbers that Brian coul;d compare. He search around our area (Indiana) until he found a flooring center that we could visit and look at samples that we could compare and then he selected flooring materials based on those color selections. When we arrived at the flooring store in Indiana, we found that he had called them to tell them that we were coming and asked them to give us a hand. They called us by name! The floor is beautiful. I went back to Florida to set up the rooms again and stopped by his store. He gave me care and cleaning advice and cleaning supplies to use too. He definitely gets the job for the rest of my flooring needs.
