He was very responsive. He took time to explain some logistics. We were trying to move our washing machine dryer from upstairs. He did the job without damaging the wall. His price was reasonable and we will definitely use his services again.

He did exactly what he said he was going to do and he stuck to the quote he provided me with. He completed the work in the time frame he told me he would. He did a good job and was pleasant to work with.

I arranged an appointment to meet with the contractor, but he never showed up or called to indicate that he was not going to make the appointment. I understand how life gets busy, but the contractor could have given me the courtesy of calling to cancel and/or reschedule, rather than leaving me hanging. I hired another contractor for the work.

During the actual wok he was mindful of my property and my household. He never interrupted our lives while he completed the work. He was there for almost a week and he cleaned up each day. The room ended up looking awesome and after I painted it, I was able to move my son back in. He is very happy to have a nice clean room. Many thanks James.

Tartan Construction has experienced a boom in business, so work was scheduled more slowly than before. Once work began, it was done quickly, thoroughly and professionally. One of the reasons we stick with Tartan is that the men hired are polite and work hard; they know their business. They are bonded and insured; they have excellent safety practices. They also leave the work area clean and neat at the end of each day, and at the end of each job. The work is done to an exacting standard.

On Oct. 13th I called Tartan Construction and spoke with Barbara. I told her that the main thing is that my sky light needed to be repaired as soon as possible. I also told her that I want my kitchen totally renovated. She seemed extremely please that there was so much work to do for me. She said that the renovation would be $135.00 a square foot. I told her that sounded reasonable and that I was looking forward to having someone come out and give me an estimates. She told me she would call in in two weeks. Her guys were busy renovating an old house. We left it at that. I called back today and she she told me she didn't know when the crew would be available. This has been almost four months now. I told them it is to late I have hired some one else. This would have been about a $35,000 job for them.

I had used them previously. He is absolutely fabulous. He never does anything halfway. He thinks things through and if he is lacking in an area he brings people in with that expertise. There is always something unexpected when you are doing remodels and he is a pro at dealing with that. I will continue to deal with him because he is so painstaking and he does the work well. I think I get my value for the money.

From the beginning we were blown away by Dave's professionalism. Dave has excellent communication skills, and is good at explaining pros and cons to ideas we have proposed. Dave never tried to push us to do projects we didn't need, and when he made a suggestion, it made sense. Every project has come in on time and on budget; the last one was actually under budget. His subcontractors are held to a high standard; work must be done to exact standards and the area is left clean when finished. We feel so blessed; Dave is honest and fair, and we always know we can count on him to deliver what he promises - even more.
