We had a bit of a toilet/bathtub situation yesterday and by 6pm realized it was beyond our skill set to resolve. I called Sondra and even though their information said they were closed, she answered the phone AND spent 15 minutes with me educating me all about septic systems! The crew arrived this morning, on schedule, and not only solved our problem, they found a 5 gallon bucket left in our septic tank by the last company (I'm glad I didn't recall the other company's name until after I had already scheduled with Thompson's!) and, unbeknownst to us, they found a separate septic tank for our laundry, that hadn't been emptied in the 10 years we've owned our home - yikes! So, yes, we highly recommend Thompson's.

I called just before noon today (8-4-14) to schedule an appointment to have my septic tank pumped. She said they had a truck passing through going to another job today and would this afternoon be convenient or did I want to wait?!! Of course, I said come on over! They arrived at 1:45pm, introduced themselves and we briefly discussed the issues I've been having, while they uncovered the tanks. (I was quite surprised to discover that I have two tanks!) Upon opening them, we discovered the septic tank and the gray water tank were both full. I came inside the house and they got busy! They were done in about 45 minutes! It's 2:45pm as I'm typing this review, and they are long gone! WOW that was FAST! They covered up the dug out areas and left the yard looking hardly touched. I would recommend their service to others. Fast and friendly!

They pumped the septic tank. The information on the telephone was professional and informative. The only negative thing I could say was that the two men who came and performed the service did not communicate at all other than to get the check when finished. I just found it a bit strange not to knock on the door or introduce themselves before proceeding with the service. Other than that, all went well.

They were prompt and quickly found the location of the tank, drained it and cleaned up nicely. The only problem was a gardenia shrub where they needed to dig and asked if they could relocate it. They did a really lousy job with that, half the bush died, and a large hole was left where it formerly grew. Just a minor irritation.

Septic pump didn't work. AAA Thompson pumped out 2 septc tanks. Wanted to replace pump and put in some type of slectrical wire protection box foaround $1500. I asked if they would just replace the pump but they didn't want to do that. Had another company come out. This company removed clog from pump and it worked fine. Didn't need to replace pump or |"magic" box after all.

They did a phenomenal job. They showed my husband exactly what they were doing. They explained if they cant get the clogs out, it is most likely the lines. They are coming back today and willing to pump out again, which most companies are not willing to do that soon.

I called the company, after reviewing Angie's List, at approximately 8:00 at night. In the best case scenario I expected to get an answering machine but instead ended up talking to an actual employee. She was very helpful, scheduled my appointment, and they showed up on time. They explained some things I could do to improve performance of my septic tank as well as a recommended maintenance schedule. I would definitely use them again.

When I called they were very helpful in explaining the problem and were very professional. We will definitely use them again in the future.

The young lady who politely took my call immediately notified the crew. They arrived soon afterward, and were obviously very experienced and qualified. My husband and I were reassured when we talked with them about the clogged septic tank. They were prompt, conscientious, and worked efficiently to clean the filter and pump the tank. They also told us one of the pipes was too long and should have been cut off by the plumbers who installed the unit. At no extra charge, they fixed this additional problem! We felt very relieved and confident that everything was OK.

The woman, who answered the phone, was very helpful. She explained exactly what was going on with our system and what we could expect next. She recommended that we get service immediately, which made perfect sense. Someone was out that very afternoon to empty our two septic tanks and inspect them. They gave us a list of does and don'ts for the next week and then for the rest of the year. They recommend that we get regular septic care.

We have a system that was installed in the early 1990s and it was not draining properly since we moved in to the house in August of this past year. We had the tank pumped by a different company in October and the system was having trouble again already. We supposed the problem was the drain field, which it did turn out to be. The gal from their office picked up the phone right away and answered the questions I had very easily. At first I was seriously considering choosing them for the extensive repair that needed to be done. However, then she starts saying things like "while I have you on the phone..." and proceeded to keep me on the phone for over an hour telling me horror stories and success stories about septic tanks in this area and how the county is really bad about miscalculating what really needs to be put in a home for a drain field and that we should double or triple their recommendation just to be safe. She also proceeded to tell me that the tank needs to be pumped every year and maybe even more often or we risk having to replace the drain field again and all sorts of really scary effects of what will happen if we don't follow their protocol. She was really convincing, but she hadn't even seen our system or our layout or anything and was telling me what I should install! Being an engineer myself I wasn't phased by what she was "selling" me, but this was really over the top. Our system did not need to have a double or triple size drain field installed since it was having additional lines put in parallel to the existing field (that was still working, but not at full capacity since the tree roots had invaded the area it was originally installed). If properly maintained, septic tanks can go years (3-5) without needing pumping. It all depends on if you know what to and what not to flush down the toilets! If you do call this company make sure and think for yourself what you really need installed and don't automatically take a recommendation for a supersized system if you don't need it.

Called to have septic inspected thinking I had a major problem on my hands. From the first phone call they were very friendly and gave me all the information I would need if there was a major problem that needed fixed. They came the next day exactly when they said they would be there. When they worked they told me what they were doing and what they thought was the problem was. When they found the problem they told me how to prevent it from happening again. Luckily it was not a major fix.I will never call anybody but AAA Thompson's Septic Inc.

Things went well, I was treated with respect and both Thompson Sr. and Jr were very helpful. My only disappointment thus far is that they were supposed to get back to me w/in 24 hrs of the initial pump-out to provide a quote for the repairs required to my system and they didn't call back. While AAA Thompson's charges about $100 more for a pump out than 3 other places I called, and the two other companies I used previously, the extra money was well worth it because of the quality of service and the fact that they have so far saved me from having to replace my septic system.

Considering I had a septic tank backing up...it went very well. They are true professionals!
