Took much longer than promised. Work stopped every time they had a larger job to do some where else (or else had another reason never explained)? Windows were inferior and fogged up (double panes) just as our "life time warranty" with Elite ended (surprise) and the window manufacturer went out of business. Elite also was non-responsive to our attempts to rectify the matter until it was so late that it was too late. Elite does have many excuses for the entire matter - change of leadership, secretary who was fired, it's all the fault of the manufacturer - which does not explain it all. We finally hired Chill Outback who did the job over for less and did a much superior job! Bugs no longer enter at will. Heating issue is resolved, much cooler room. Room is now livable.
Description of Work: A porch enclosed in 2008.

We signed contract with Elite in Sept. of 2012. What was purported to be a six to eight week project turned out to be more than five months. The quality of the materials is excellent. The workmen were knowledgable and courteous... when they would show up!!! One problem was that they would come to work one day, then we would not see them for two weeks! We know that the problem was not the workmen, but was resultant of poor management. It seems that so many jobs were scheduled that crews were bounced from one project to another. Once the work was completed, it was as if Elite ceased to exist. We experienced a leak early on which was repaired quickly. We experienced another leak in Sept. of 2013. Numerous calls were made to Elite with no answer or returned calls. Personal visits to Elite's facility in Oxford revealed that the only persons on premises were there to answer phones. Even calls to the owner's wife were unsuccessful in gaining results. Finally, in Feb. 2014, were we able to reach the owner (Rudy), and were successful in getting the needed repair. Conclusion: Material and workmanship were excellent. Communication nonexistent . Lifetime warranty , to be seen. Recommendation... NOT ON YOUR LIFE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

On Oct. 14th we signed a contract with Rudolph Gurrola, owner/president of Elite Lifestyles of Fl., to build a sun room on the back of our house. We gave him a deposit check for $1,000 which was cashed. Part of the deal was that we would pay for the flooring and air/conditioning/heating. We lined up contractors for both that same week. Elite came back a few days later with their engineer to draw up plans. About a week after that their builder came out with the plans for us to approve. He told us that construction wouldn't start until after Thanksgiving, but that all of the paperwork and specs would be sent in to get the building permit. About one month went by and we hadn't heard anything from them. When I called I was told that the person handling our account named Rodney had quit three weeks earlier. The new person, Ted, came out to our house and was totally unfamiliar with the project and asked a lot of basic questions about the dimensions, size of the windows, etc. He said that they had gotten behind because of Rodney's absence, but promised that the building permit application would be submitted within a few days. I waited a couple of weeks and went to the building dept. of our permit dept. And was told that nothing had been filed yet. I called Elite's office and asked to speak with the owner Rudy. I was told by one person that he was having medical tests done and then by another that he was in a meeting. I finally spoke with Gus Lovett on 12/5/13 who said he was Vice President of the company. I told him that it had been almost two months and they hadn't even sent in a permit application yet. I told him that we were considering canceling the contract. He told me that the initial paperwork would be sent in that week and that the balance of the specs would be sent in in a week. They sent the initial paperwork in the week after we spoke. My last contact with the company was on12/14/13 when Ted left a message wanting to know who our air conditioning/heating contractor would be even though I had given this information two months prior. When I called him back I was directed to his voice mail. I received a message saying that his mailbox was full and I couldn't leave a message. This ALWAYS happens when you call his number. Finally, on 12/3013 I went to the building inspector again to see if Elite had sent the required specs in for their approval. They told me that Elite had not and gave me a copy of a letter dated 12/11/13 that they sent to elite requesting specific information about the project. Elite had not even responded. On1/3/14 I sent an email and a registered letter to Elite terminating our contract and requesting the return of our deposit. It has been three months since we signed the contract and we don't even have a building permit for it yet.

They called and gave me an estimate over the phone. They had no interest in coming to see what I had. I didn't feel like my business was valued.

Overall it was a pleasant experience. All workmen were punctual, polite, professional and kept the area clean of debris and were careful not to damage any landscaping. When I had questions they were promptly addressed and any issues resolved.
Description of Work: Enclose our lanai in tempered Low-E glass sliders and sliding glass doors. Elite removed the original screening, leveled the concrete slab, installed the electrical, glass, repaired any stucco and painted the areas as required.
