From start to finish? Shakey start - no finish!

The install of lights went well and they were careful as to placement. Timers set, all neatly done. HOWEVER...the ad clearly stated the price included removal and that they would call to schedule this starting Jan 2nd 2013. No call came, so I called them. SEVERAL times, left voice mail also. I then emailed stating I was unhappy with the communication and would be adding their company name to the local TV station's "xmas scam list" to be aired Jan 17th. Still nothing...we finally took them down ourselves on Jan 13th. I get an email from the company on Jan 16th stating they'd had a family emergency and would be out the next day to remove our lights. Well had I been called and explained all of this, I would have understood and waited for them. But instead I heard nothing and my husband and I spent several hours doing what we paid them to do. Regardless of their reason, a phone call or email can be made from anywhere. I suspect the only reason I received an email at all, was because they feared being on the "xmas scam list". Had they followed through with their promise as the ad stated, or at least communicated that there would be a delay, I would have probably used them again this year. I learned from this mistake.
