+ -1 moreWe contacted Local 6 Problem Solvers about this issue. Morrison Homes was incredibly dishonest with Local 6 - lied to them and told them I had already appeared on Channel 13 complaining about them and was badmouthing them before they cancelled. This was proven to be untrue, and was a complete LIE. I have all the documentation to prove that Morrison Homes is a very disreputable company who you should not ever deal with. All the way up through their corporate office, they continued to lie, bully, and threaten until Local 6 dropped the story. BEWARE of doing business with this company. They showed no concern for the fact that we were closing on the sale of our home in 20 days and they were effectively leaving us homeless. The lot we had was, and is, not properly graded and I would not be surprised to see a complaint from the person who wound up buying it.
Description of Work: We contracted with Morrison Homes to build a new home for us in the Spring Creek subdivision in 2005. This was at a time when the housing market was very, very tight and you had to win a lottery to even have the privledge of putting money down on a homesite. We were able to go to contract, put down our deposit, apply for financing, and put our own house on the market. After we expressed legitimate concern about the grading of the lot we were given, Morrison Homes, without warning, cancelled our contract and sent us a check for $500. In their contract, they have a clause that says, ''At any time, for any reason, or for no reason at all, Morrison Homes reserves the right to cancel this contract in consideration of the sum of $500''. They imply that they never use this clause, but I have the paperwork to prove that if they decide you aren't appreciative enough of the home they're giving you - they will cancel and leave you high and dry. They re-sold our lot for $20,000 more than we paid.

+ -1 moreIT'S AN EXCELLENT COMPANY. A COUPLE OF TIMES I HAD TO CALL FOR A COUPLE THINGS THEY HAD TO FIX. I HAD TO CALL AND MAKE APPOINTMENTS. WHEN I ORDERED THE TILE, SOMETHING HAPPENED. IT WASN'T A BIG PROBLEM, BUT THAT'S WHY IT DIDN'T GET AN A.
Description of Work: THEY BUILT THE HOUSE WE WENT THROUGH ALL THE TIPS AND INSPECTIONS. WE WENT INSIDE. IT WAS A CUSTOM DESIGN. THE SERVICE WAS PRETTY GOOD.
