I strongly recommend against using this company. I have been a loyal customer for over 4 years and initially chose this company because of its strong reputation and the consistently friendly and polite staff. However, I am not sure if management or ownership has changed, as in the past 1-2 years, I’ve noticed a significant decline in the quality of service. Unfortunately, recent experiences have been incredibly disappointing. The office staff has become unresponsive, rude and unhelpful. It takes them weeks to address issues now, and the current service people do not have the proper training or experience that their previous ones did, leading to several problems in my home and extensive damage. After having a new AC company come out, I discovered that during their most recent service calls, my outside unit was left clogged, despite it being checked as part of the service I paid for. Additionally, a new unit I purchased was not installed correctly. I have spent tens of thousands of dollars based on their recommendations, due to the fact that I have always trusted them and for the first 1-2 years, their service people and staff were phenomenal. This decline in service quality is extremely disappointing and frustrating especially since they were always so on top of their game and willing to help troubleshoot issues. While the service team remains polite and kind, the overall lack of care from the office staff and management is concerning. I genuinely hope the company can return to the high standards it once upheld and continue to provide the excellent service they initially did.

Called on Friday and they came out an gave estimate same day. Called them Monday morning and scheduled install on Wednesday. They were here Wednesday morning as planned and installed A/C. The two guys that came were very professional and did a great job. Once A/C was in they cleaned everything up. Would highly recommend them to friends.

All work was done in a professional and economic and timely manner.

Sorry to be so late with this review. Just as we were preparing to leave town in mid-July, 2018 our air conditioner stopped working . We called Matthew Roberts. One man came out and worked for quite a while, he called someone else they both tried several fixes, but nothing worked. We had an idea of how much a whole new AC would cost so when they gave us a quote we were ready to decide. They came out and installed the entire Trane system, inside and out, in one day so it was working when we left town. Very professional, neat, friendly and took old system away. Since then we've had a couple of issues: a snake got in the electronics of the outside unit, shut it down and a couple of other service calls were handled extremely quickly and most with no charge because unit was under warranty. Michael was often the repairman and we were extremely pleased with his work and service.

From start to finish this was a terrific experience. Both on the day of the estimate and the day the work was done (less than a week from start to finish) they arrived exactly on-time and were very professional. This company will be my go to A/C provider from now on.

We had an issue with our duct work and dampers and it was causing high humidity levels in our home and causing our new ac unit to run inefficient. We had 3 other companies come over and giving us high quotes telling us to replace our 2 year old unit. Matthew Roberts came and assessed the problem correctly and fixed the issue at a reasonable price and we are extremely happy with their work. Michael and Brandon were our technicians and they were amazing. They made sure all our questions were answered and didn't leave until everything worked properly. I would highly recommend this company. They are honest and knowledgeable.

Great, professional people (Luke and Michael). Everyone I spoke with was very polite and easy to deal with. Very knowledgeable on every aspect of our Mitsubishi Mini Split A/C installation for our home. They are the top notch HVAC company in Central Florida! Looking forward to doing business with Matthew Roberts Inc. in the near future!! :-)

Michael arrived punctually, explained what was needed, and did a great job.

The technician topped off the coolant in our unit that had a slow leak for years. We get it topped off about once a year, but our AC guy sold his business to someone we didn't trust, because after the new owner was out, our good unit froze up three days later because of a coolant leak. It had never leaked before. A friend recommended Matthew Roberts. A technician came out and topped off the coolant on both units, at a cost of a whopping $1,039! We used to pay less than $300 to top off the bad one, and that would last almost a year. My husband paid this ridiculous amount on the spot, by check, without telling me. I am so angry that he paid that much and that I didn't know it, especially because two months later, we needed more coolant, and he called Matthew Roberts again. My husband says he "can't find" the record of how much he paid Matthew Roberts in August. NEVER, EVER call Matthew Roberts. NEVER, EVER.

Everything was done to my satisfaction. The technicians were very professional.

We contacted Matthew Roberts, Inc. to provide a quote on replacing the heat pump at our home. They had been referred to us by friends who recently had a new system installed by them. Luke was very flexible with scheduling the initial visit and was prompt, courteous and knowledgeable. He wasn't a typical Salesman. I could tell after only a few questions that he was someone who knew how to install these systems. We ended up selecting Matthew Roberts, Inc to perform the installation based upon our evaluation of all competitive bids. Our final decision was influenced by a number of factors, including their competitive position, positive referral, the ability to start within 2 days, and our impression of their company based on the first meeting with Luke. Cory and Garrett showed up on time the first day to install our first unit downstairs. They worked nonstop that day and we were back to cool by dinner time. They were professional, meticulous, and left our space clean and tidy. Cory and Tim showed up on time the second day to install our second unit upstairs. Once again, we were back up and running by dinner time. Our space was undisturbed and all evidence of the construction project removed. Good crews. Behind the scenes, Eileen worked with my wife on scheduling and ordering. She was on top of everything and even came to our house to have us sign the paperwork the day before the work started. After the dust settled and we had time to let the systems settle in, Luke followed up and came out to take care of some loose ends and check everything out. Mr. Roberts even made an appearance to thank us for the business. You're welcome, you and your team earned it. I have already recommended Matthew Roberts, Inc. to four others at work who are also in need of A/C repair and replacement and have no doubt that they will deliver.

Last place out of the five estimates obtained- least professional evaluation of my AC needs.

Crew was punctual and personable and did a quality job with the install. Very satisfied with the overall job. Would definitely recommend Mathew Roberts Inc.

I called late on Tuesday evening to get this job done ASAP in order to have a hot water heater installed. It was my first time dealing with the company. They promptly scheduled me for the next day. Michael did a great job. I would hire them again!

It went very well and I would definitely call them again. My previous a/c people were not as good as Mathews Roberts Inc. I don't recall the date of service off the top of my head but I think it was about two weeks ago.

Steve explained in detail the whys and the wherefores of the system, Eileen from the admin side was very prompt and knowledgeable about the submission of forms and paperwork, and Dustin and Brandon who installed the system were very professional.

I highly recommend to anyone in the Longwood or greater Orlando area Matthew Roberts Air Conditioning. They are an exceptional company that provides exemplary service. I recently had them install a new Trane air conditioning system and I was completely satisfied with the installation and service they provided. They are a family run business and you could tell they genuinely care about putting the customer first. Since replacing an air conditioning system is one of the biggest expenses homeowners face, I had several concerns going into the process and they made it a point to address all of my concerns and you could tell they wanted me to be happy at the end of the day. They didn’t try to upcharge me into anything I didn’t need as other companies did. My wife even commented that Luke Roberts didn’t seem like the other pushy salesmen we interviewed and was focused on doing what was needed. At the end of the day, I am thankful I trusted Matthew Roberts Air Conditioning with my new investment.

They never returned any of my calls. Left several messages with the receptionist trying to get an estimate. Finally, after a week I called for a 3rd and final time and was told they have my messages but have been very busy. To me, a week is plenty of time to at least call someone back.

Excellent service professional. Reasonable pricing

They ac was broke and they did what they said they would do. The repair man was very friendly and knowledgeable. Be warned this is an expensive service provider and you can get great services with much less cost. They do appear to be honest and knowledgeable, but I will not use them again do to the hourly fees.

It was excellent. I have regular scheduled annual services for my furnace and air conditioner . Bill is the service person who usually comes out, who is an excellent technician. He's kind, and does well in explaining things, he's very customer oriented and a pleasure to have working on my a/c and furnace..

The removal of the old system and the install of the new one went well. The techs did a very good job. I noted that they did some extra things to improve the overall install. The techs arrived on time. They went to work right away, and worked the whole day without stopping. They removed all the parts of the old system, installed the new one and adjusted, and tested it before they did the final clean up. Would I hire Matthew Roberts again ? Yes, and I would recommend them too. -BC

They were quick and reasonably priced.

They were very good. They did a good job. They did what I needed them to do. They also cleaned up after they finished the work. The owner and Tech came out to look at it also.

Capacitor replaced and one can of refrigerant added. Prompt service and problem fixed but cost was outrageous. I was charged $290 for a capacitor, $95 for refrigerant and $235 for 1.5 hours labor. Total bill was $620.
