It went excellent! They were honest and stright forward. It was not as bad as I was previously told by the other company. In fact it was refreshing and they were not just trying to sell me anything. They were honest and stright forward. Thanks to Angie's list I thnk I have a new company. Glad I joined.

My AC had been functioning a little intermittently. I left a message the night before to request a tech the next day. I recieved a call the next morning. I was able to have a tech arrive about 4hrs later. Great response! Bill arrived and I let him know about the issues I'd been having. He went right to work and found that the issue was most likely a bad delay switch board ( I'm not sure i'm describing that real well). While he was performing the annual maintenance on the system he was verifying the possible bad delay switch. The delay switch did turn out to be the problem. Since my system is not a heat pump system, the delay switch is not nessasary and he was able to bypass it. I've used Matthew Roberts Inc. before and have recommended them to friends who have also had a great experience. It's very comforting to know that i can call Matthew Roberts Inc. and know that I'm going to get honest reliable service. Of course the only reason i started using them was because of great reviews on Angie's List!

Our A/C unit broke down during Friday evening, we called Del-Air who normally services our unit but they could not get to us until Monday afternoon and could not give us a time frame of when they would be here. So we called another company who said their technician would call but he never did. so sunday morning we joined Angies list and found Matthew Roberts. Their technician Michael was prompt and explained everything he was doing and reviewed our system with me.

Matthew Roberts replaces my Old A/C on a Saturday in about 6 hours. My Old A/C died on a Monday, I requested a new install on a Tuesday or Wednesday. They worked with me on financing and worked around my schedule to get the new equipment ordered in time to install on a Saturday to keep us from overheating during a Florida summer. They were professional, honest and up front with their services. They cleaned up after themselves when they were done. My A/C install looks beautiful and worked well. They filed the rebate paperwork on my behalf. They price is fair but well worth the value of their services.

Saturday afternoon and I am outside with my grandchildren, doing some archery practice. My grandson finally is able to loose the arrow in a forward direction when we hear WHOOSH very loud. His arrow has punctured the air conditioner coil all the way through, and Freon is escaping. Our neighbors leave their beer party to help and offer to call their "AC guy." Don't think so. I hurry to my computer, get on Angie's List, and find Matthew Roberts, Inc. I leave a message because they have an ON CALL person evenings and weekends! in less than an hour, Bill calls me. I tell him the situation, he provides a quote and tells me he will be here in about 50 minutes. And guess what - he was. Bill looks over the situation, details my options, and I ask him to complete the repair. My daughter, (the budding archer's mom) comes outside and disagrees with me. Bill, ever professional, simply waits until my daughter asks a couple of questions - he responds with the options (the same options he gave me) - she throws her arms in the air and says mom you decide. I ask Bill to please do the repair. and he goes to work. About an hour later we feel cool air in the house again! Bill checks everything over, even lets me know I need to have the AC breakers checked as they are weak. Tells me what to watch out for in the AC, and all in an easy-going, likeable manner. Bill is genuinely a nice guy. And he does great work. But most importantly - Bill says what he means and means what he says - what he quoted is what I paid - and that is very rare in this world today.

The A/C went out on a Friday evening. The indoor and outdoor units sounded like they were running but the air coming out the vents was warm. I was afraid we wouldn'tet it fixed until Monday. I have had excellent service from Matthew Roberts A/C before so I called them around 7:00 AM on Saturday morning. I got a recording and I left my phone number. Within an hour or so they called my back and said someone would be out to fix the unit around noon. At about 10:30 AM a tech (Bill) from Matthew Roberts arrived. Initially, he did not see anything wrong with the unit - freon was good, capicators good, only the compressor was not running. He went inside and notice that a new thermostat had been installed. It was a wireless, radio frequency controlled stat that was part of the newly installed security system. There was a brief one or two second power outage the night before and it was at that time the A/C stopped blowing cold. Bill said that sometimes these units did not reset correctly after a power outage. He switched off the breaker to the air handling unit for a few minutes and turned it back on again and that fixed the problem. However, he did not stop there. He checked out the entire system and noticed an unusually high temperature change as the air went through the coils. After taking the panel off the air handler he found some trash inside the unit and the insulation on the inside of the panel was loose and obstructing airflow. Further, he found a second filter in the system that was cutting down the airflow. He reglued the insulation, cleaned out the trash, removed the unnecessary filter and the system then operated with the correct temperature change. This house has had very high electric bills and I believe as a result of his thorough inspection of the system the money spent on the service will be recovered in electricity savings in two or three months. Even though the service was at off-hours prices, it was still cheaper than I expected. I strongly recommend Matthew Roberts A/C. I have given them A reports before and this is no exception. I am going to start with their twice yearly maintenance agreement now.

I made the appointment in advance and was given a 2 hour window (10AM-12 noon) for him to arrive. The office called me at 9:50AM to let me know that tech was 20 minutes from arriving. Tech spent 45 minutes evaluating the situation and used an air flow measuring device to accurately determine the extent of the problem. He then set about changing all of the air flow settings on all of the vents in order to place more cooling air into the areas that we use all of the time and throttled down the air that flows into less used areas. After about 1 1/2 hours of adjusting and checking the new flow readings, we immediately noticed a significant difference in the areas adjusted. Very professionally done work using correct tools to accurately assess and correct the problem. ANOTHER HVAC REPAIRMAN WANTED TO RE-DUCT THE HOUSE FOR OVER $2400.00!! 10% off for Angies List. VERY WELL PLEASED!!

Bill arrived on time with his usual likable and easy to talk to manner. After answering lots of questions from me, Bill configured and installed the replacement outdoor air sensor. I ask for Bill each time I have my air conditioner and furnace serviced for annual preventive maintenance since Bill is very knowledgeable, helpful and fun to talk to. He is very professional with a great attitude. I have also found these qualities in all of Matt Roberts' employees.

Same day service. Phone was answered by a person and they gave me a 3 hour window. They called in that window time to further narrow down the time they would show up. Service man, Bil,l was professional knowledgeable and efficient. I will use this company again.

The service was great. We feel so much better to have our units serviced properly and expect them to last longer. If we have any problems in the future, we will definitely contact Matthew Roberts. You may notice that most of my posts are positive. That is because now I only use Angie's List providers that have a good rating. I look for all A's; however, sometimes people post poor reports when they never had the work done. I look at overall level of satisfaction, number of reports, etc. I have yet to be disappointed in an Angie's List provider.

Even though this was inconvenient for us, every time the system lost coolant, they were out there that day to fix and recharge the system (at great cost to them no doubt for both the freon and the labor). Mr Roberts came on site personally several times and did every thing he could to make things right.

I have used them several times and I like the company. I found them initially on Angie's List and they were rated very well. I started working with them and found that the technicians seemed to be very knowledgeable. They didn't try to sell me stuff I didn't need. They were fairly quick to come out and work on the equipment and they seemed to be able to diagnose the problem fairly quickly.

Air conditioner coils were freezing up - Had an expert come out and see if they could find a leak. They found a small leak and said I had to replace the entire coil component. I just got the AC in 2009 and the part was under warranty, however I still had to pay for the shipping and the installation. Installer was very curtious and did a great job. Seemed like a lot of money to replace the part that was under warranty, but the company I bought the AC from went out of business.

They were a little late but called to communicate so that was nice. They did a quick and efficient job and did not try to sell me on any extra products. They did a good job and I recommended them to a friend. I will use them again in the future.

The technician from Matthew Roberts arrived quickly and on time and was able to diagnose the problem. The original engineering of the drainage was done incorrectly and over the years, water and mud had backed up into the drainage system. Kevin from Matthew Roberts retrofitted the system so that it now drains correctly and it has been running perfectly ever since. We plan to take a service contract with Matthew Roberts in the near future and feel confident that they can deliver prompt and professional service.

Went perfectly throughout the whole job.

Called late Saturday night - was told someone would call first thing in the morning. Service tech called and gave ETA and was here right on time - Found that the fire sensor in the air handler had somehow gotten shorted so it shut the system down, he adjusted placement so it couldn't get shorted by accident again. Did a complete check of the A/C unit and cleaned it up so it could work more efficient. Told us how to do our own small maintenance so that it would last longer. Also gave us warnings about things to watch for because it's an older system before it breaks completely. Service tech was very cheerful and professional. I would hire them again in a minute if/when I need to replace/repair my A/C unit.

Placed service call at 8am. Received notice that technician was on his way at 10:30. Quickly diagnosed the component failure. Provided bid for replacement and installation. Unit was fully functioning by 12noon (after quick trip to pick up parts). Excellent in every way.

This is a good company. I called them to see if they could even do what I wanted. They helped me to chose the right thermostat and then they installed it. No problems, right on the money as far as what they quoted me. We have used them to service our systems for almost 5 years and have always had very good and prompt service.

The experience was very good. The first time they came out the guy was very cordial, helpful and didn't try to sell me extra stuff. I'm sure the price was competitive.

Matthew Roberts technician Luke arrived within about 2 hours after I called. He went right to the problem, fixed it quickly, gave me a break on the price (maybe because I mentioned Angie's List). He did not try to sell me any additional services. Included in the repair he checked the freon in the system, the amperage draw, furnace filter and temperature drop across the coils of the air handling unit. I am very satisfied with their work and will use them again.

Kevin did not look for the quick and easy explanation.He got into the problem, spent the time(attic time) necessary to diagnose it and make reasonable suggestions about solutions. A couple of other companies( some on the list) looked at the same problems and gave me everything from"It's fixed" to " That's just the way it is"at my expense. Very frustrating. Not Kevin!!! Great Job!

The crew arrived at the appointed time and worked efficiently and continuously until the job was finished. They came prepared to do the old systenm removal, modify the site structure and install the new system. They discussed the job with me as they went along and were sensitive to our concerns. There were no problems with the installation and none have occurred since. I was and continue to be very happy with their work and my new system.

I called Matthew Roberts Inc. This was not an emergency since not during the hot season, but they set up an appointment within the next day or two. At the appointed time, they sent two young gentlemen out to take a look. The technicians were polite, thorough, and methodical in their approach to diagnosing the problem, checking one thing at a time in order. They found the problem, a cold start switch, and replaced it. Voila, I have A/C again. I was very pleased with their service and quality of work. I was also impressed by the methodical approach to finding and fixing the problem. They also were able to tell me that my system is overall in good shape, have enough freon, etc. That was good news, too.
