The installation went well, but there were problems with the new unit right away. There was a leak in the evaporator coil and they had to replace it, then less than a year later the brand new compressor went out, and they had to replace it too. These problems reflect more on the Heat Pump vendor's product than the service company that installed it, and then had to repair it under warranty.

Took them about 15 minutes to get it right. Humbling but very much appreciated.

They do a great job. They are always professional and on time. They are able to pin point the problem right away and are reasonably priced.

When Matt came out to do the bid I told him my unit was running continuously now and it was 81 degrees inside. He the compressor wasn't running, just the fan. He opened the side and saw the starter was leaking oil and would start the compressor.

This company is prompt, the service man is polite and fast, and fortunately had a motor with him. I have used these guys before, and I am still very pleased with them.

Eileen from the office called and said that the bulb was no longer distributed in the U.S. and that she would have to order it from China, which she wasn't comfortable with. She said they did offer another kind of air sanitizing system and that they would be happy to provide more information about that system. When I called back, she said that the maker of my system was no longer in business and repeated that the bulbs were no longer being made here. She also quoted a price of $775.00 for the system that Matthew Roberts was offering as an alternative. I was surprised that the company that had manufactured my air purification system was out of business as it had been installed in 2008 and according to a sticker on the air handler, a new bulb had been installed in 2009. Also on this large sticker was a web site for the company. I did a quick web search and sure enough, they ARE still in business. Their web site has a page for replacement parts and, lo and behold, there is a replacement bulb for my unit listed. Just to be sure, I called the customer service number listed at the top of the page and verified the information. I'd like to be charitable and just assume that no one at Matthew Roberts can do a simple web search. However, it seems more probable that they wanted to sell me a much more expensive solution when a much cheaper solution existed.

I called on Thursday afternoon and set up an appointment for Monday morning and Mike showed up promptly at 9:00. I had noticed that one of the outside units was making a loud noise when it came on in the heating mode. Mike checked it out and discovered that the coolant pressure wasn't holding when the unit was in heat mode and basically all the heat we had been getting during our recent cold snap had been from the supplemental electric heat in the ducts.No wonder I've been cold! Turned out to be a relatively easy fix--just needed to replace the dryer and it was good to go. Mike carefully explained exactly what was wrong and what was needed to fix the unit. Very pleased with the service.

Great. He found the problem quickly and repaired it. Although he did great work I thought they were pretty expensive.

We discovered at noon that our AC wasn't working and it was already 82 degrees in the house and rising ... I immediately logged on to Angies List to find the closest AC company in the hopes of getting it repaired that same day. I found this company and they had someone out within TWO HOURS. I was estatic! They called when they were on their way, Luke was extremely professional and diagnosed the issue (fried capicitor on the compressor) in the first 5 minutes he was here. He had it repaired and up and running within 15 minutes. Because the service call was for the first 30 minutes of diagnostics, he used the remaining time to clean off the coils, check the freon and do a general all-points inspection of not only that unit, but our other one as well. I simply cannot say enough good things about this company. Definite reccomend! Oh, and 10% off for AngiesList members was a nice bennie too :)

Called for emergency service on a Sat. at 7:15 for a clogged drain. Received call back quickly and service tech (Luke) showed up at my door just a quick. All in all.. 30 minutes from my initial call. Diagnosed the issue and quickly got working on the solution. Fixed the drain and then did various checks to ensure that nothing else was an issue. Definitely appreciate the prompt service in getting my A/C back in working order so that my family could sleep comfortably. Thanks!

While he quoted a unit that was unavailable, they upgraded to the next level at no extra cost. They are prompt, honest and affordable. I highly recommend them as they have been providing me service for the last 8 years.

We ca lled on Monday afternoon to have our unit serviced and they came Tuesday morning. The technician was smart professional and personable. He showed us what he did and what to do on a monthly basis to keep it running well. We are happy called Matthew Roberts Inc.

I called at 8am and received a call from Luke within an hour. He was here ten minutes later. He quickly diagnosed the problem, replaced the failed part, ran several checks, and was gone by 9:40. I felt the charge very reasonable for a weekend..or any other day for that mater. He was personable and professional. I took several business cards to refer them. I highly recommend!

We had just moved into the home one month ago. After a bad electrical storm we lost the air. My husband called in a company and they insisted we needed an entire new system for $6000 dollars. Holy cow. So I needed another quote, and I checked the list and liked the feedback on Matthew Roberts. Called and spoke to a woman who was very helpful, and I was honest that I just moved and need to repair and not replace at this time. My husband has copd, and the room window units were not making it. She told me that her workers are not on commission, that they pay them a good hourly wage, and that they would give us all of the options! They arrived the next day at nine am, they were able to find a compressor, and it was totally repaired before I got home at 5:00pm. When the unit needs to be replaced, I am calling these guys.

Late on a Saturday afternoon my son called me to say the AC @ our Rental Property wasn't working. I live 4 hours away and didn't know who to call so I went to Angie's List for recommendations. After reading the reviews for this company I decided to give them a try. The tech called me back promptly and let me know it would be time & 1/2, which I expected, and that he'd be there in 30 minutes, which he was. He imediately identified the problem, fixed it and the house was cooling in no time at all. Part & OT Labor came to $231. Not bad for a Holiday Weekend. After he left, I asked my son if he gave the Tech the 10% off coupon I had from Angie's List. He had not remembered, so I called the tech back and asked if they would honor it and he assured me they would. On Tues. morning, after the Holiday, the office called me to say that the 10% discount was applied and my new total was $207. The house is cool once again and I'm pleased with Matthew Roberts Inc. I wouldl certainly use them again or recommend them to a friend.

Came out to do estimate. Let me know what the problem was. Offered me different solutions with different price options. I scheduled an appointment to have the work done. They were on time and finished the job in less time then I thought it would take. They were very courteous. They cleaned up all areas in the house where they worked before leaving. The job cost 1/2 of what I paid another company to do only six years earlier. I would recommend this company and use them again if needed.

A/C not working at all. Called company and got an answering service that said a technician would call back within 30 minutes. Michael did just that and was at my house within the hour. He immediately determined the problem and went to work. He had it fixed in a very short time. There were no sales tactics. He did his job and presented an itemizied statement. He was prompt and professional. It was an excellent experience dealing with Matthew Robert's company.

They cleared my AC unit that was leaking, and helped unclogged it to correct the problem. I would highly recommend. Very communicative, prompt and even showed up early.

Very professional service offered. Matt offered 3 different options for our a/c unit. He actually took the time to calculate the appropriate a/c size needed for our home. The installer showed up earlier than expected and did a very professional job. I would highly recommend this company.

The guys showed right on time and this was after I had to reschedule at the last minute due to a conflict. they said it would take about 5 - 6 hours to complete and they were there just over 5 hours. They were professional, quiet, and cleaned up afterwards as if they were never there. I had a Angie's list discount for 10% off of the service. The worker initially said that discount was for new service and since I had used them before, then I would not qualify. I said the discount did not state this was for just new service. He looked at it and said I was right so they immediately honored the discount. "what?" I said. "the customer is right" I continued. That sure was refreshing to hear. There were no problems, other than that the installation of the thermostat was overlooked. The company employees came back the same day that we emailed about the thermostat. We are very satisfied with the job they did.

This is the 2nd time I have used this company, since I switched to them. I have been very impressed, so far. I called them and they came out the same day. That is impressive by itself. The technician (Kevin) came out and got right to work and the problem was fixed. He was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions. Best part is he did not try to sell me anything additional. He just fixed the problem. Unlike my previous company. My only problem is myself . . . I wish I had found this company a long time ago!
