I received a call from Kevin's Tree Service after submitting interest on Angie's List. They called me back and scheduled a free estimate. Kyle arrived on time and gave me a quote in about 15 minutes. His quote on the work was lower than the other two companies I contacted. On the day of service, the crew arrived on time and performed the project efficiently and professionally. A couple of days later they came back to grind the stump and surface roots. Both days they cleaned up with excellence and basically left no trace they were even here. I am very pleased with the job they completed and will definitely hire them again.

The employees were courteous and very knowledgeable. The work was accomplished when promised and completed in an exceptional manner.

Jay and his team did a wonderful job and went the extra mile. They did a great job cleaning up. They are now our tree service as we have had quite a few over the years.

This is the second time I’ve used Kevin’s Tree Service. As with the first time, Kevin’s crew and office staff were courteous and professional. They worked with me on scheduling to meet my requirements. The work they did on my trees was outstanding and made a world of difference in their appearance. I’ll definitely hire them again.

We called for an estimate on removal of a couple trees, they were able to provide me an estimate within a few days of when i called. Kyle was prompt and courteous and provided me with a written estimate on the spot. They were very reasonably priced compared to other estimates i had received and provided me with a copy of liability insurance. The scheduling team called me within a couple days and were able to schedule me in on my requested day off within a couple weeks. The tree cutting/trimming crew was very professional and efficient. They did a great job taking down the trees, as well as trimming and stump grinding. They were able to remove a tree pressing on my fence without damaging fence or surrounding azaleas and they left the yard cleaner and in better shape than it was.

I reached out and received the following message, "We are closed on weekends so I can have Xxxx call you on Monday if that’s ok". I didn't have a problem with that but the other tree service DID work on weekends so I was able to get my bid within a day. Monday came and no call. I did receive a direct message that said someone would be out Tuesday at 4:30p. I told them I was hoping to make a decision quickly. I scheduled myself to be home to do the walk-through. Then at 2:37p today - Tuesday - two hours before the appointment, they sent another DM telling me that they couldn't make it and that we would need to "pick another afternoon". I get that plans change but this company never once kept their word nor reached out via phone to talk to me. If they were going to change the appointment 2 hours prior, you'd think they could at least dial the number. Clearly they're too busy right now to take on new customers

They set up the schedule to do the work. I had to be gone in the morning, so they told me it would be after lunch when they arrived. They said they would call right after lunch, but I had heard nothing. So at 3PM, I had to call to verify that they were still coming. The crew finally arrived at 4PM and got right to work. I was very happy with the work they did once there. They had the tree removed and all the branches trimmed. They even trimmed a few extra branches to even out the look. They did a great job of cleaning up after themselves. But, it is a different crew that grinds down the stump. I waited on them to call me, but nothing. I finally got in touch with them and the stump grinder showed up early the next day and got the stump out quickly and cleaned up after himself. I was very happy with the work they did, just not the following up to make sure they got there when they said.

I am having a new house built and called Kevin's Tree Service well over a month ago to remove 3 trees and 2 extra stumps in order to prepare the site for the new house. We agreed on a price of $1,600, signed a contract and was told that I did not have to pay them until the job was finished (which is also on the contract). I left their payment with a neighbor since I had to return to NYC to sell my other house. I called the neighbor a few days later and was told Kevin's had come, removed the 3 trees and one of the other stumps but left the other remaining large stump. I called Kevin's Tree Service and spoke to Sarah, the receptionist. I told her about the remaining stump and she assured me that she would take care of it. It is now a month and a half later and, after 5 phone calls to the company, the stump has still not been removed. My builder is ready to demo the existing house but will have a problem building the new house because the stump is in the way. Today I once again called Kevin's Tree Service and spoke with Sarah. She again assured me that she would "Take Care of it." I told her that if I have to hire a different tree company to take out the stump, since Kevin's Tree Service did not complete the job and breached their contract, they are not getting paid. Sweet Sarah then got nasty, said "I said I'll take care of it" and hung up on me. The one thing I have always liked about Angie's List is the accuracy of the reviews! This review is no exception. Hire them at your own risk.

A couple of days before day of work, I called the office to let them know I wanted the mulch to be left in my yard next to my driveway and then I arranged for someone to come in the next day to even it out. Tony came with his crew of 5 right on time and got to work. I told him I wanted the mulch in the area next to my driveway. Photo one is the driveway before the work. You can see the trees overhanging the driveway and you can also see the picket fences on the sides. I was amazed at Tony's professionalism in doing the work. He took down the branches over the driveway and near the garage. With all of the plants and the fountain in the yard, as well as the picket fences, I was very much amazed that he did the work with nothing touching them. Photo 2 is the after work photo. When Tony was working on the camphor tree, I watched him working on it as the branches were hanging over my fence and the screening on my pool. Once again, perfection. He did not hit anything. After he was finished, I went out to look at the pile of mulch on the side of the driveway. To my very pleasant surprise, the crew had spread the mulch evenly. (See photo 3) And they left the driveway and street curbs next to my driveway much cleaner than they found it. My neighbor across the street had seem Tony at work and told me that she definitely wanted him next time she needed tree work. This is the third time Kevin's Trees has done work for me. And each time I am very happy with the professionalism of his men.

They never came to give me a quote. They kept lying about when they would come over every time I called. Poor customer Service.

Team showed up the next day - great! My worry to Kyle during the initial assessment was that the sprinkler system not be damaged. He assured me that plywood would be placed so that the heavy equipment would not damage the lawn or the sprinkler system. Team didn't have enough plywood or didn't use it properly. One worker ran over a racoon trap and crushed it. One sprinkler line is broken. Tree limbs were dragged over flowers/shrubs. Large ruts in front and back yard. Tree stump not ground down as in contract. I have more work to be done to include a fallen tree from Irma. No one responds to my e-mails or phone calls over almost a month now. Photos were provided of the damage. The team did clean up the area very well afterwards.

Never came after waiting a month for them.

I had to remove a large Laurel Oak tree that was in the back of the house. They had to remove part of the fence and they took great care in rebuilding it. Their price for the project was more than fair after vetting several companies. They did have trouble with their stump grinder. It had broken in a previous job. They pushed our job to the front of the line after it was repaired. They made good on all things and did not over promise but delivered quality service. I highly recommend them!

The crew did an impressive jobs. These are true professionals and I would hire them again in a heartbeat. Thank you very much!

I am very disappointed by this company. Like others, I got an estimate (slightly higher than from one other company), called to place the order, and was left with no communication from their side. Whenever I called I was told by the office manager that the tree removal permit was pending ("Winter Park Forrestry is so backed up. I will inquire and get back to you..."). I eventually emailed the Winter Park office, when I was told that no permit has ever been applied for. Georgia will look into this and get back to me today. Well, you guessed it - this day is over as well. Hurricane Irma is on the way, I am left with no options and I cannot understand the good rating and recommendation for this company on Angie's list. BTW, they are not accredited by BBB and have 2 complaints pending there. Very disappointed about being lied to too many times.

I called to schedule an estimate, and they said they would be there on Thursday at 10:45. Thursday came and they called me at noon to say that they were running late after getting caught up in an earlier job, but that they were still coming to see me that day. I said okay, thank you. They did not show up at all. They did not call again to tell me why, or to reschedule. I had scheduled this estimate on behalf of my dad, but Friday morning (the day after they did not show up), he called himself to say that we would no longer be in need of their services. I was polite during each of my calls, and while my dad may have been curt, he did not resort to raising his voice or using foul language. After choosing Kevin's Tree Service because of all the positive reviews they've received on this site, I'm disappointed that they didn't come through for us.

They did excellent service. They cut couple trees for us. We got the stump taken out also. They were professional and completed the job on schedule. They had a handle on everything.

Based on a recommendation we called to get a quote and Kevin came out. He took a look and wrote up a form and left without providing much detail. The following day I called to book the work at the price quoted. I was told by the receptionist that someone would get back to me FIVE days later or schedule. So I waited. On the 6th day after not hearing from anyone I called back. Again, I had to wait another day to hear back when I could schedule the work which wasn't for another 10 more days. On the scheduled day, a crew showed up with inadequate materials to do the job. They eventually brought out more people and more equipment to get the job done. Originally we were told it would take 4-5 hours. After 10 hours the crew left and others had to come back the following day. The worst part was that they destroyed our yard with the equipment as well as our neighbors yard. No one mentioned at ANY time this would happen. No one apologized and there was no offer to repair the work and/or provide any discount on the service. In addition to this fiasco, the payment was all wonky. They said if we paid cash it would be $100 less than credit so fine. I planned to pay via check. But the day of the work being completed the crew said we had to pay CASH. So I had to go to the bank and withdrawal $2800 in CASH! But then the work never got completed so we were to wait until the following day and pay the other crews. But they never knocked on the door to receive payment. Just did the work and left. So 6 days later they call back about payment. I said I would mail them a check. Which she then says will cost me an additional $100 unless she could pick up the check from our house that day. Which was fine. Just weird. The work got done and done well, but the administrative portion was horrible. Really disappointed how poorly we were handled as customers and really disappointed about the yard being destroyed.

Everything went as planned. the crew arrived promptly on the date scheduled. They had all the necessary tools and heavy equipment to get right on the job quickly and to clean up after it no trash left behind. very impressed as was my neighbor. The compact and very mobile lift used to get to the upper branches was unique and allowed rapid remote control from the basket to get around under the tree with no damage to the lawn. This unit would allow easy use in side or back yards where a customer might have tree issues to deal with.

My work was originally scheduled between 12:00-2:00 pm, but was delayed due to bad weather. Jay and his crew arrived aabout 4:30, and despite working all day long, gave me first-class treatment. Jay checked on my satisfaction as the work progressed, and the crew did a great and thorough job, cleaning up everything before they left. Even my neighbors were impressed with the work done, and I saw one neighbor ask Jay for a business card. I will definitely hire Kevin's Tree Service again and will recommend them to my family, friends and neighbors.

Kevin's service for an estimate was prompt. The price was very reasonable ($425) and the trim and clean up was excellent. They have great equipment to accomplish all areas of the work. I would highly recommend and will use them again.

Overall my experience with this company has been very negative and I would NEVER recommend them to anyone. The request to have an estimate completed was easy to make and Kyle was puntual. This was the second company I requested an estimate from for the same work. This company's pricing was significantly cheaper than the competitor, however after repeated negative experiences with office staff (primarily Georgia), I have elected to use the more expensive company. I have had at least 4 phone interactions with the office and I am pretty sure all have been with Georgia. Initially I called to schedule the work to be done and was told that Kyle would have to call me back to get the work scheduled. I was told I would recieved a call from him the next day. This did not happen. Three days later I called again and was told the same thing. Two days later I still had not heard from them so I called again. When I expressed my frustration to Georgia with the lack of follow up phone calls she again promised I would hear back from Kyle by the end of the day. Not surprisingly, I did not hear back that day but Georgia did call me back the next day to offer an appointment day but no time slot. She stated that they called the night before the appointment to give a time slot. This type of scheduling did not work for me since I was going to be out of town on the day they suggested and I made a point of saying that I wanted to be home when they came to do part of the work (I was only going to start with trimming the large palm tree). Georgia again said that Kyle would have to call me to give me another date. At that time I was beyond frustrated with their lack of follow up and the challenging way they elected to schedule their appointments and I told Georgia that I no longer wanted to use their company. I then went on to call the other company and scheduled an appt. for the work to be done. At this point I assumed my interactions with this company was complete. However, two days ago I received a bill in the mail from them for work on my palm tree. This was quite unexpected since I never ended up hiring them, we never agreed on a day of work and most importantly NO work has been done on my palm tree. I assumed the bill was sent to me mistakenly so I contacted the office today to follow up. I again spoke with Georgia who was rude, aggressive and condescending to me from the very beginning of our conversation. Not surprising she was unable to help me out and could not provide any information as to why I had been sent a bill. Once again, she said that Kyle was the only one who could provide information on this and he was out of the office until next week. She promised that I would hear back from her on Monday regarding this issue. As you might imagine I am not holding my breath. This sequence of events speaks loudly regarding the type of business being run by this group. They are very disorganized, their scheduling is not customer friendly, they are not reliable and the office staff is rude and impolite consistently.
