+ -1 moreThey're awesome. They don't do the work for us, they just supply the product. The gentlemen that owns the company is amazing as far as knowledge of pest and lawn and all of that stuff. We bought the product, came home and it has been 20 days since I have been bitten by mosquito. There are no more bugs flying around. They told me what to do and I went in and follow the instructions and had good results.

+ 0 moreReally happy that I found this company. I would highly recommend them if you are thinking about doing your own lawn care. They also have a calendar that you can follow to make sure you are applying things at the right time.
Description of Work: I brought in a yard sample and they were so helpful! They educated my about the bugs and fungus on my grass and showed me evidence with my sample. They were also helpful in educating me about what I needed to apply to my lawn to make it look great again. We recently bought our home and the yard had been neglected for some time. I believe that I had to spend more than most people who are considering taking care of their own lawn. Don't let my price scare you.

+ 1 moreIve checked their prices against amazon and other retailers and they are always on par with them. The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful and will help you get your yard where you want it to be. They test your PH and soil and everything. They can identify almost any weed and tell you what chemicals to use. Dont pay True Green! Think about it, these companies spray your whole yard for fertilizer and weeds, why? Just spray where the weeds are, not the whole yard. I use MSM and a generic sedge chemical they sell and it kills everything. Follow their schedule and you'll be on your way to a wonderful lawn.
Description of Work: I buy all my yard stuff, flea meds, and pest control products here. They have specialized fertilizer mixes and PH testing I use.

Description of Work: After firing 4 lawn and pest control companies (Massey, Tru Green, etc.) I decided enough was enough. I did research and found many, many people very happy with DIY in Oviedo. I talked to them and took a soil sample in for analysis. After obtaining the results from the lab, we set an appointment to review. My soil needed SO MANY nutrients which is why my lawn looked so bad. It was obvious that these other companies were either using only water and so severely watered down chemicals that they did no good for my poor lawn. Their solution was always to kill the entire lawn and re-sod. What kind of BS is that? I started on a program with DIY and have applied the proper nutrients at the proper time. My lawn is well on it's way to recovery and is looking like a lawn should. I ran the numbers and found that in one year will have have spent $650 on my lawn. The other services would have cost around $850 with very poor results. My weeds are GONE!! How about that? The other lawn companies tell you it's not possible to control weeds in Florida. They are dead wrong! My moles are GONE!! No more insects in the lawn means no food source for them. Armadillos are not digging any more!! Again, no more food source for them. The lawn is lush, green, and rapidly filling in the thin and bare spots. It has NEVER looked so GOOD! I just can't say enough about DIY. They have EARNED my complete trust!

+ 0 moreI have been a patron of DIY Pest Control in Oviedo for the past three or four years. I purchase all my lawn care chemicals and pest control chemicals there. They are unbelievably knowledgeable and thorough. Whenever I have a problem with my lawn, I either take a sample in or take a picture and they take the time to identify the problem, help you select a product to resolve the problem, and take the time to explain exactly how the product will address the problem. They've helped me with Dollar Weed, Sedge Weed, Fungicide, Grubs, Armadillos, Chinch bugs, etc. I do my own pest control monthly with an insecticide I purchase at DIYPC - I haven't had any serious problems in the past four years. On the few occasions when I have found a stray ant or bug, I will take it to the store and they take the time to identify the insect and explain if and how to best deal with it. I have also used their soil analysis service - for $26 they will send your soil off for a detailed analysis, and thoroughly explain the results to you and help you make any needed corrections. I have learned so much from them over the past few years. I can't recommend them highly enough. I'd say my pest control expenses for my house have gone from $30 - $40 per month when I had a monthly service, to around $100 per year by spraying my house myself with insecticide from DIY Pest Control.
