Description of Work: We used American Air & Heat to redo our A/C.

Description of Work: It take seven service calls before they removed a unit from our house, The manufacturing rep would only come M-F from 8-230 pm, these were unacceptable times. In addition after the sixth call it was finally disclosed that a meteoring valve that should have been placed in with the install was not initailly installed and that the one they finally installed on the fifth service call was faulty. As they removed the system, they contaminated our home with fiberglass as they ran out of the house carrying the insulation in their arms. When questioned why they were runninig, tech number two stated it was burning him. We are highly allergic to this material as many are and have a newborn. We have not recovered from the damge done in our home since August. In addition to all of that, this company represents that they have NATE certified technicians, in actuality per a representative at NATE, this company does not have any technicians with this certfication and they will or already have been contacted by the NATE attorney to have them remove this brand from the website as it was stated it is branding fraud.

Description of Work: Installed new heat pump, air handler and copper piping.

Description of Work: Performed A/C tune-up on two units of my home. Tech was named Dale and did a terrific job in performing the work and explaining some suggested services we should consider on both units. The appointment setting was easy, the tech called when he was en route to my house and the price was very good...better than competitors.

Description of Work: They have sold us three or four air conditioners over the years and serviced them.

Description of Work: I called the company to do an annual check-up of my AC/heating system. The technician was prompt, courteous and seemed quite knowledgeable. My system is fairly old, so I appreciate a technician that gives it a thorough check, which this tech. did. He brought to my attention a small part that needed to be replaced. I never know if these things are really necessary, but it wasn't expensive and by then, I trusted him. He also re-taped the openings, because I was losing air flow, and gave me some good tips about filters. I felt he was professional and went beyond the call of duty.

Description of Work: I had a problem with my heater. They came out for a service call, spent over 2 hours at my house trying to fix the problem and then charged me for the extra time spent - although for a half hour the service man was not in the house, but outside talking to another serviceman about a problem at another house. Would not recommend them, were overpriced, expensive and I ended up calling another company on Angie's list to actually fix the problem - which ended up being very simple.
