I'm usually reluctant to leave negative reviews, but I feel it's important to share my experience with American Air and Heat. While I was out of town, my tenant reported that my 4-year-old 3T Trane air conditioning unit had stopped cooling. I reached out to AAH, drawn in by their appealing annual contract offer. They responded quickly, sending a technician the same evening who provided a lengthy list of recommended replacements. At that moment, I felt I had no choice but to agree to the proposed work. I was ready to pay for the convenience, however I never expected this to be this extent, apparently for a clogged AC drain. Later that day, I received Invoice #150414169, and I was taken aback to find a charge of $1,106 on my credit card, even after the 10% discount for being an AMC client. Upon reviewing the invoice, I noticed that the prices for the parts were marked up significantly—about 5 to 6 times higher than the market rate. The following day (10/15/2024), I contacted their customer service, where I was treated kindly and promised a callback from the Customer Service Manager, Mr. Luis. When he called, he explained the necessity of the recommended items, including a "compressor hard assist" that was not in stock despite being charged for it. He claimed this would reduce stress on the unit and lower my electricity bill. However, after doing my research, I found that all the parts were still priced excessively. When I questioned Luis about the charges—like $137 for a $20 part and $611 for a $175 part available from the OEM—he argued that the prices reflect a 5-year warranty and the expertise of their technicians. I countered that I could replace these parts multiple times within that period during regular visits, so why was I paying so much upfront? Luis didn’t have a solid answer but promised an additional 10% discount on my invoice and further discounts for other electrical work. However, I never heard back from him. I made at least five follow-up calls to their support over the past 15 days, each time being told that Luis would call me back, but I received no response. On my last call on 10/26, I was told that Luis was busy due to "distress calls." I attached the details of my invoice and you can do a quick search on internet with the spare part name to find the market costs. Even considering a reasonable handling charge these charges are absolutely unjustified. I would not have posted my negative experience publicly if my concern was handled with the appropriate sensitivity. I urge potential customers to do their research before engaging with this company. Their business model seems to lure you in with attractive offers only to inflate costs later. I initially considered getting an AMC for another property, but after this experience, I have decided against it and won’t be recommending them to anyone.

They attempted to charge my elderly mother $1,400 for a repair that should have cost no more than $500-600. Only after I threatened them with unapproved work being done did they admit their "parts person" had inaccurately priced the cost of a part. After I got second, third, and fourth opinions and estimates that I realized just how unethical and inaccurate their diagnoses were. They scare you with inflated repair costs for issues your system doesn't even have, and then quote prices for new units that are two to three times the market value. Out of four American Air and Heat “technicians” (Sal, Jesus, Jewel) who came to my condo and house, only one (Anthony) was honest, trustworthy, and knowledgeable. The others were merely salespeople providing inaccurate and outright wrong information. If you've had any work done by this company, I urge you to re-evaluate what was repaired and the cost you paid. It's highly likely you were overcharged for repairs your system didn't need. In my case, I had repairs done for a tenth of what they quoted for a replacement, and a fifth of what they claimed was needed for repairs. Their diagnosis was completely inaccurate. I finally dealt with Louis, the regional manager, who apologized for how I was treated the first time and assured me it wouldn't happen again. He agreed to take my mom off the payment plan and for me to pay the $600 for the fan motor repair that she was put on a payment plan for $1200 unapproved by myself the owner of the property. Yet, six months later, the same issues of unethical business practices occurred. Avoid this company at all costs.

Ambassador of their Company named SAL, came out to give a 2nd opinion of a condenser coil leak made earlier in the day May 30, 2024. A small leak was discovered and Del Air added 4 lbs freon. I called America Heat and Air after. The system was working great. SAL, from America Heat and Air comes in after a quick "inspection" and tells my wife, my 88 year old mother, my 8 month pregnant daughter and my 3 year old granddaughter the system is broken, there is no freon and gave us a quote for $14,500 for new system. He also told my wife he had to speak to me because she "wouldn't be able to understand" the quote. I work away from the home and my wife is more than qualified to make a decision. BOTTOM LINE. The system worked great when he came and WAS NOT WORKING, when he left. I called a AC qualified family friend a hour later. He came to the house and showed my wife the system was unplugged and there was plenty of freon. We were lied to by SAL, My wife and the women of my family were disrespected, left with a shut off unit and told it would cost $14,500 to cool them off. This company claims to follow THE GOLDEN RULE. Instead they sabotaged a functioning system, then attempted to rip us off​

Great at selling you their product, very lacking with their ongoing service. Especially getting a response from someone in management or escalations. They also refuse to leave voicemails, so if you are expecting a call, you better be at your phone 24/7 until they decide to call you. Would not recommend if you have another option, unless you enjoy having to follow-up with them 4x to get the response "we need to reopen the ticket" This was all over an honest mistake, which they refused to take accountability over or work with me in any way. Over a month has gone by and I have completely lost faith in this company and regret giving them my business. I have since cancelled my 4 properties services.

Do NOT trust any estimate these people give you for how long their services will take. Two weeks ago I had them come in to fix low refrigerant levels in my central AC. They told me the problem was a slow leak in the compression coil was losing refrigerant. Fair enough. Told me It would be 2700-2800 to fix. Not a fun expense to have dropped on you, but not their fault. Here's the kicker: the tech asked me if I wanted some refrigerant in the meantime so I could use my AC while the part came in. I asked how long that would take, he said 3-5 days. I checked the forecast, saw it wasn't supposed to be a super hot week. I said I'd be okay for 5 days and didn't want the extra expense. 5 days later, I call them. They say the part should be in Monday afternoon. I call Tuesday morning. They say they don't know exactly where the part is, and I later get a passive aggressive text about how they're at the mercy of the manufacturer. I've now spent 2 weeks in a condo at 87. Buyer beware, everybody.

Joshua and Eli were outstanding. They were professional and educational and performed in an excellent manner. I will recommend these two gentlemen to my friends and family with American Air and heat.

They're great, technicians are great, call center are very responsive, and the service was fabulous, they came quickly when we needed service, and they came right away when we called.

First of all I have been a customer for AA&H for many years and always knowledgeable, professional and reliable no matter which technian appears at my door . Diego the ac specialist took the time to explain ,educate,and recommend how to keep my AC UNIT running at peak performance . Thank you Diego for your needed maintenance visit . It went great! we have been using a company for 7 years that installed our unit and was getting less than stellar service, found American Air and Heat, messaged thru Facebook they were immediately responsive and answered my questions and Their technician Riad came out yesterday and he was so honest and did such a great job! Highly recommend.

I've had two systems installed by AA&H for 5 months now and to date they are operating flawlessly. They are a huge upgrade to the 14 year olds i had before, the larger system a top of the line Lennox XP25 is outstanding - it keeps temperature as set and makes barely any noise. The smaller one an entry level 14HPX is fenomenal too, does not seem entry level at all. My experience AA&H has been great. From the quotation visit it was clear this is a customer focused company, of all 3 competing companies this is the only one that took its time to make Manual J calculations, and did not rush at all the visit. They didnt have the best price but i assessed that superior service is worth the extra cost. Installation was outstanding, the crews very corteous, left the place spotless and the units were installed to my eye outstandinly well. They had worked with zero issues for 5 months now (whereas one hears others having post install issues). AA&H proved their customer focus, when an issue with the quotation/price was detected, they provided remedy very fast and to satisfaction. I consider this solid demonstration of their commitment to clients, its easy to say one has good customer service a much different thing is deliver it when issues arise. Kudos to AA&H and Douglas F their Sr. Project Manager.

American Air and Heat is a no, no for me. They came in to inspect the air conditioning for me. I think I was getting a noise. They wanted to do certain things on it. He said it was very expensive and I didn't believe it I didn't half believe. We called another company and they came in the next day. I was right behind him and I know he never touched anything, just the air handler, he said well, this is not working and I can see why. He worked on that and he gave me a price for it. It was nothing like American Air said. I've been using them for years.

The work in under a service contract. You can not judge by a visit by visit basis because it is a one time charge for the contract.

They are good company. I have been with them for over 20 years. They are good year after year. We have them on a service contract with them.

I have been with them for about 20 years. My mother used them before that. They come out twice annually. I have a contract with them. They do a spring and a fall checkup. They call me and set up an appointment and all of that. I get a new filter each time. I have a super filter on there. It is super expensive but it lasts a long time. It is like $200-$220. Mostly it is for covering parts and reduced labor on emergency calls. I had one where I had to call them out. It was a minor expense. It is like a service contract. I have been with them for over 20 years. I know that they have installed two new systems over the years. I am happy with them. They always show up on time when they say they are going to. They are always professional.

It was good. They were on time.

Two preventative maintenance and one service call, any time day or night. I've signed a contract for five years now.

The maintenance was free but they charged us a ridiculous price for the part.
